      @@gabe.6273 I eventually finished the book earlier this year. It was one of those books I had made several attempts at through the years. The edition I own has several prefaces which I found a slog, but I got past those and found the essential parts of the book a rewarding read.

    I think your work i great, but you diluted Arendt thoughts with contemporary similarities which clearly are not on the same level as her magnum opus.

    Anyone that calls you/anyone a "conspiracy theorist" is (1) in denial, (2) trying to use mind control on you by making you believe conspiracies don't exist, when in fact, conspiracies have always existed and exist now.

    • @JH-lo9ut
      @JH-lo9ut Год назад +2

      Yes, conspiracies exist.
      This does not mean every conspiracy theory is valid. In fact, most of them don't even come close to prove what they claim. Instead they, as ideas or memes or theories, are constructed in a way so that they can't be disproven. Any evidence presented in favor of the theory is vague enough to resemble hard fact, but is never conclusive enough to rule out other explainations.
      Any evidence presented against the conspiracy theory is, by the conspiracy believer, disregarded as irrelevant, fabricated or even a part of the conspiracy itself.
      The burden of proof must lie with those who present the theory. This is a logical principle recognised by science, philosophy and law. But it is not recognised or practiced by what we call "conspiracy theorists", who will offer wild and strange claims, and then demand of their critics that they should be the ones to disproof those claims.
      Well, it turns out that it is fairly easy to fabricated claims that cannot be disproven. This does not equal truth, but it doesn't matter: A lot of people will fall into this logical spring-trap.
      Once a person gets into the mindset where they believe in a conspiracy so much that their overall view of reality gets distorted, the conspiracy theorist start to develop something like a severe mental illness.
      This pattern of behavior has been observed and objectively described again and again. By psychologist, by historians, journalists and by family members.
      This is why it is relevant to talk about something like conspiracy theories. It is a type of paranoia, capable of destroying lives and whole societies.
      It is not the same thing as a methodical pursuit of truth.

    • @optimalpi999
      @optimalpi999 Год назад

      @@JH-lo9ut Close; however, the rub is that by the time “the critic” discovers the truth (if ever) the result is done. Example: authorities said the air at the WTC site after 9/11 was safe to breathe. Later, truth was that it was toxic. I say: conspiracy to lie. Fast forward to today…air in East Palestine is safe to breathe. I say conspiracy to lie. Who wants to volunteer and prove me wrong?
      There are endless conspiracies and some, most will never be proven true or false…so… it requires discernment to decide. That is wisdom not just facts and logic.
