I love the idea of having tiny fish in a large aquarium.
Nano fish in a big aquarium. Love this! Can we see your fish deliveries/unboxing when you get them in and place them in quarantine tanks? I think it would be interesting to watch.
great to see a large tank for nano fish gonna be lots of schooling going on in there
Yes! 😀
Some of my favorite fish! I love seeing small fish in large numbers in a big tank. They really show their true colors and personalities then
Two great looking choices.
I’m keeping Reed Tetras they look similar to Kitty Tetras. I’ll just go ahead ask you to throw out a species profile when you stumble across them. There’s always something on the back burner 😂
BTW your light is really working for those guys. Nice sparkle.
Just awesome!
❤Love the look !! I've got some Cardinal Tetras and Ember Tetras in my tank too . Really love the colors . I too was thinking about adding some chilli rassbora or green neon to my tank . 👍Great idea 🤗🐠🐡🐟🐌
The small fish in this big tank looks great. I like duckweed. To me it helps with keeping the water clean filtering with the roots and adds some shade for the fish from the light.
Ya, we don't make a huge effort to eradicate it.
Resently I’ve grown fond of the Pistia stratiotes. It’s way bigger than duckweed but it does clean the water amazingly well. It grows to about 4” in diameter and makes about 4-5” of roots down in the water. It’s perfect for viviparous fish as it provides shelter for the ofspring.
Love all the fish. Gina
Been working with larger SA fish for a while, but the idea of having a large all nano aquarium seems really awesome!
The colors on these tetras really pop everything looks amazing
Thank you!
The fish look great in that tank!
Looking good great Aquarium
awesome stocking!
Thank you!
Fabulous!
Thank you!
WOOOHOOO HAPPY SUNDAY !
I'm jealous ...I need that tank !
Thank you! : -)
you have like the best livestream and videos on fish for me. You cover on a lot of stuff really good
Thank you for being here!
Hey prime time aquatic you should a do a Care guide for the Tri-band sumo loach and also can try to do a care guide for paradise fish to
Lovin dat scape
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾on video
Looks awesome! I have Ember tetras in my 10 gallon cause of your recommendations 😅
That's awesome!
I will be doing pretty much the same, but on a 75 gallon aquarium. I’ll be adding Neon Tetras, Ember Tetras, Blue Metallic Guppies, Green Kubotai Rasboras, and some Hillstream Loaches. I’ll would to add some Yellow Golden Back Neo Caradinas to the mix, but no one has them at the moment. Thank you for sharing.
So cool!
Holy Schmoly looking great .......
Thank you!
I would be hesitant to add so many fish at once , has that tank been setup for a while? It looks great!
Yes - It has fully cycled media in a large canister filter from heavily stocked tanks with bioloads much higher than what was added here. : -)
These neons seem like a good purchase. I have very similar water to you and I’ve had terrible luck with normal neons and cardinals. Black neons have done well for me.
They have been really hardy too!
Black Neons are Indestructible!
30 kubotais would look goo in that mix
Yes they would! : )
That driftwood is amazing! Is it all one piece or did you use many pieces to make it?
It was actually 5 different pieces : -)
@@PrimeTimeAquatics it’s beautiful very well put together!
Looks great , did you have to soften your water for the fish , or is the wood enough
Nope - the wood actually doesn't do anything to our water. Still pH 8.0 and GH/KH of around 10 degrees.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics my gh is basically the same but ph out the tap is 6.5 I have weird water here in Northumberland uk . But good to know the nano fish can handle it once fully cycled of coarse. P.s this is a dream tank for me a big tank of nano fish , can't wait to see it fully stocked
With the direction you are going, what is your stocking Density❓❓❓
Those light be the biggest fish in the tank. I have a few more species to add but the numbers won’t be as big.
The fish love the white fungus. It doesn’t bother me.
Do you still do Yellow Mystery Snails? Was hoping to pick some up at a future swap.
I've seen Diamondhead Neons but - IDK... I'm all about the Greens which I can't find good versions of (getting worried)
I haven’t bred them in a while, unfortunately.
Hi! Any advice for aggressive angelfish? I’ve got 5 in a 75 gallon & they all got along good for awhile but now one single angel is tormenting a couple of the others. I have some live/fake plants, driftwoods in the tank but not sure if I should just remove the bully or if there’s something else I can do? Thanks!
Usually removing the aggressors work. Sometimes another will take its place and you might have a smaller group after everything settles down.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics thanks for the reply! Alright, I have a 29 gallon I’m setting up currently (nothing inside yet) maybe I’ll put him in there with a small school of fish & let him be on his own?
How much filtration do you have for this 125 gallon tank
One Oase Biomaster 850 canister filter.
This video inspired me. I have a 40 breeder with cardinal tetras, ember tetras, rummy nose tetras, otocinclus and a Bolivian ram. Any other recommendations for another tetra to add?
Black neons would be a nice contrast to what you currently have?
@@PrimeTimeAquatics love it thank you!
Hiya mate love your videos find them really helpful iv got one betta fish. 0ppm ammonia/0ppm nitrite/0ppm nitrate/ ph 7.6 dose this mean my tank is cycled? Thanks
Usually there is nitrate in cycled tank.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics thanks for the reply mate appreciate it so u think iv nearly cycled my tank ? Dose water changes take alot of nitrate out ?
This gallery is ready for PRIMETIME!
Woohoo! : -)
Which fish is the hardiest, Cardinal or Neon? Just wondering. The neon look great in the tank.
The Cardinals are a bit more sensitive
Based on where we get our Cardinals - they have been way more hardy.
Cardinals have been very hardy for me
@@bluebird4614 oh they are both very hardy fish, but he asked which one is more hardy, the neons are a little bit more hearty in the Cardinals are a little more sensitive.
@@bluebird4614 Thank you
Will plecos kill plecos? I’ve never had problems with pleco deaths before. But now I’ve just had a male bristlenose die and now one of my female bristlenose plecos looks like she’s been attacked !! But there’s no other fish in this tank but neon tetras?! Idk what the problem is ?!please help!! There’s 2 yo-yo loaches, a female sailfin pleco a spotted catfish and an eclipse catfish but the male looked like HE was in attack mode when he died and all his skin was gone.
Ya, it’s possible that the larger plecos could bully smaller ones - especially if they are different species. Male BN plecos may also spare if they don’t have enough space or their own caves.
I have a similar issue in my tetra tank but lost 2 corydoras and can’t figure it out
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I ask if my red eye tetras could be killing my corydoras? I have black skirt and red eye tetras in a 29 gal tank . Only 6 skirts and 4 red eye had 6 green Cory’s last week all 6 Cory’s were bunched up under my cabomba in the corner of my tank and I thought they may have been eating eggs the next morning there was 1 Cory torn to shreds 2 days later the Cory’s were back to their usual maintenance but found another Cory almost unrecognizable. Sorry for this being a bit long
How important is getting out every single dead fish out of your tank ASAP ?... with all of these little fish their has got to be alot of dead ones now and then.
For us - doesn’t really matter with small dead fish. We have plecos that eat them - often before we notice they are dead.
Diamond head neon tetras, what a joke. Scertainly nothing
SPECIAL.
I guess that depends on the individual. They are certainly not the same as standard neon tetras though. Overall, they cost about the same as regular neons, so I don't think anyone is suggesting they are somehow much better - just different.
Ive been put of the hobby for a few years and im itching to get back into it
Nice!
