    A massive thank you to all the programmers for their incredible achievements! I wish it was 1987 again!

      It's cool doing a video like this, because it gets me excited again almost like it was Xmas '87 or '88 again.... kinda!

    All of these are looking so good! Would never have thought games this good would be coming out this far into the future :) Can't wait for them, especially Toki

      I think Toki (or maybe Hyper Drive) might be the first one to appear! So yea, very much looking forward to that one!

    Kudos to the Sonic GX coder for the "preemptive" camera movement. The original games would have benefited from this so much. Looks great.
    Thanks for another great video Xyphoe

    Sonic GX and Toki look absolutely corking. Got lots of experience of both franchises and they both look amazing. Sonic GX looks up there with Sonic Chaos.

      And Sonic GX has had LOTS of improvements since that footage too! Screenshots and news here - norecess.cpcscene.net/ :)

    Really looking forward to Corsair - Axelay and Rexbeng are a brilliant team. And Hyper Drive looks great as well. CPC coders have well and truly cracked the vertical shooter.

      Agreed. Zero chance of this seeing the light of day. I'll donate £100 to a charity of Xyphoes choosing if I'm wrong.

    Are there any new games that have an aspect ratio of 16:9 at all. I'm currently running an emulator with android box on a projector, games are 4:3 native and while some look fine stretched, I was wondering if any new games could be 16:9

    • @nekononiaow
      @nekononiaow Год назад

      Widescreen games would have to sacrifice quite a bit of vertical resolution so that most likely would not be worth it.
      Just don't stretch those games and they will just look fine. It's not as if those black borders are going to bite you. 😋

    I'm confused about Ghosts n Goblins. I though the 6128 Plus and GX4000 were the same machine and had the same games.

    • @Xyphoe
      @Xyphoe  2 года назад +2

      Well the 6128 Plus has 128k of memory, the GX4000 has 64k or memory/RAM. So the new Golem13 version is taking advantage of that extra memory.

    • @gordonblues843
      @gordonblues843 2 года назад +1

      @@Xyphoe Ahhhhh. How bizarre. GX4000 only 64K???

    • @Xyphoe
      @Xyphoe  2 года назад +1

      That's right, I believe the thinking behind that is because the cartridges themselves can hold a lot more data (off the top of my head a choice between 256k and 512k) so there isn't as much need for the RAM.... and less RAM = a much cheaper machine, there was a need to get the console in under £100 to compete.

      The NES has only 2 kB of RAM, the Master System has 8 kB, SNES 128 kB and Megadrive a total of 136 kB of RAM.
