The Cellar - An Audio Story
In the grand, echoing halls of an ancient castle, little Elizabeth danced through the empty corridors with her beloved doll, Emily. But fate turned awry as Emily slipped from her grasp, tumbling down a forgotten staircase into a dark, dusty and foul smelling cellar.
Determined to retrieve her doll, Elizabeth descended the dusty cobweb-covered stairs, her heart pounding. The cellar was a realm of shadows and forgotten relics. She crept forward, determined to rescue her beloved friend, whilst the silence pressed in around her.
At the bottom, Elizabeth stopped suddenly, she spotted Emily, a splash of color against the gray stone. She hurried to her, relief lighting her face. Closer, my dear, closer.
As she reached for her doll, I struck. Swiftly, silently, my web ensnared her, her screams muffled by sticky threads. Her fear, sweeter than nectar, filled the air.
I moved closer, my legs a whisper on the stone. “Well hello” I hissed, my voice a mocking caress. “You seem to have woken me up just in time for… Dinner!”
Of Course she begged to be let go, tears glistening, but I just chuckled darkly. “Goodnight, sweet Lizzy” I whispered. “Rest now, for when you wake, dinner will be ready!.”
And with that, I retreated, leaving her to hang in the darkness, a gift wrapped in silk, waiting for dawn, whilst I contemplated this juicy morsel wrapped up in her cosy cocoon with her limp doll Emily a silent witness to her unfortunate demise.
