Some people have an issue with Black Americans gatekeep their culture and telling the truth about the origin of Hip Hop. We have no Allies.
@@amon-recrosby3151 We have each other. If we stick together we’re unstoppable!
Facts ❤
Hip hop culture is black American culture
A conversation won’t do anything if you continue to deny what’s been proven by older hip hop personalities both Puerto Rican and black Americans!
Stop lying latinos are not the co founders of hip hop most of the Puerto Ricans was racist to blacks in the 70s it was only a few Puerto Ricans dealing with blacks most of yall was not stop the cap your parents didn't want their kids hanging around blacks back then the OGs even said it we was not tight like that back then today it's different.
Sounding like BS out the gate. I'm sorry. Never heard of him and it's coming off mad weird. A lot of tap dancing and repetition too early. I'm out.
Hip hop started from Jazz which was created by American Blacks. I’ll take this shit back to the 1920s on you WITH RECIEPTS. From breaking to scattering, to bee bop lyrics. ALL STARTED IN JAZZ. The Harlem Renaissance started everything culturally artistic you see today. Black ppl had music videos and everything called “SOUNDIES”. Groups like “The Delta Rhythm Boys”, “The Mills Brothers” “Cab Calloway” ALLL started the rhyming pattern in hip hop we use today. The Caribbean saw black Americans, liked it and learned from it, joining in. That’s like you saying the Caribbean started Motown! YES THE CARIBBEAN WAS THERE!! NOBODY BLACK DENIED THAT. But for the Caribbean to PURPOSELY ACT like WE DIDNT START THIS SHIT IS WILD AS FUCK TO ME. I’m from NY so i know how we’re mixed together, but BLACK PPL STARTED IT. It was looked at as “ghetto”. We started the break beats at the clash parties. That’s when OTHER ethnicities lost at the party, learned how to scratch and came back and won the clash party the next time. DUUUHHHH
Historical Context of New Orleans’ Cultural Landscape
New Orleans is a city with a rich and complex cultural history, shaped significantly by its colonial past under both Spanish and French rule. Founded in 1718 as part of the French Louisiana colony, the city was later ceded to Spain in 1763 before being returned to France in 1803, only to be sold to the United States shortly thereafter. This unique historical trajectory created a melting pot of cultures that would profoundly influence the development of jazz.
French Influence on Jazz
The French colonial legacy contributed to New Orleans’ distinctive cultural identity. The French-speaking Creole population played a crucial role in shaping the city’s music scene. Their musical traditions included elements from European classical music, which were blended with African rhythms and melodies brought by enslaved people. This fusion laid the groundwork for early jazz styles.
French musical practices emphasized structured compositions and formal training, which influenced many musicians in New Orleans. The Creole musicians, often educated in European classical traditions, incorporated these elements into their performances. Notable figures such as Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton emerged from this environment, showcasing a blend of improvisation rooted in both African American musical traditions and European influences.
Spanish Influence on Jazz
The Spanish influence on New Orleans was also significant, particularly through the introduction of various folk traditions and instruments. Spanish music often featured guitar-based rhythms and melodies that resonated within the multicultural fabric of New Orleans. The blending of these Spanish folk elements with African rhythms contributed to the development of unique musical forms that would eventually evolve into jazz.
Moreover, the social structures established during Spanish rule allowed for greater interaction among different ethnic groups. This interaction facilitated cultural exchanges that enriched the local music scene. For example, community gatherings often featured music that combined Spanish melodies with African drumming patterns, creating an early form of what would become jazz.
Cultural Exchange and Musical Evolution
The interplay between French and Spanish influences created an environment ripe for musical innovation. As various immigrant groups settled in New Orleans-bringing their own musical traditions-the city became a hub for cultural exchange. The brass bands that emerged during this period exemplified this fusion; they incorporated elements from military marches (influenced by European traditions) alongside African American spirituals and blues.
By the late 19th century, as ragtime began to gain popularity alongside traditional brass band music, these diverse influences coalesced into what we recognize today as jazz. Musicians like Buddy Bolden began experimenting with collective improvisation-a hallmark of jazz-drawing upon both their formal training (often rooted in European traditions) and their experiences within African American communities.
In summary, both Spanish and French cultures significantly influenced the development of jazz in New Orleans, contributing essential elements such as structured composition techniques from France and rhythmic patterns from Spain that blended seamlessly with African American musical forms.
SCB (so-called black) Aboriginal American NYC preteen kids started & created this hip hop solely, u’re right about the Jazz Mills brothers & such, soulfully there was Pigmeat Markham & such later on but they didn’t do it like this, slightly similar but not quite. Preteens some not even in the age of double digits from Bronxdale P’s started hip hop.

If u ain’t fba u ain’t got nothing to do with the foundations of hip hop
Dr Colon! You the truth! This was spiritual & deep. Love this one brother! Hope viewers learned a lot of humility & patience watching & listening like I did. 4 real. Thank you! Peace & Love!
The truth? What truth was told
I agree 100% on sitting down and having a conversation with no arguing. I am a pioneer and all this back and forth and who dropped kick whom is so childish and ignorant. Our battle should not be with each other. Stop the craziness and the division.
They hate you because you tell the truth…they hate you because they can’t counter your facts. So they get vitriolic in their rebuttals.
A whole movie is out countering everything. Whatever
@@1990maman that mockumentary? 😂 laughable bruh. It’s trash if Herc, Bam, and Flash aren’t in it.

First of all, I sincerely admire your knowledge of HIP-HOP from a scholastic direction. Secondly, I respect your mature mannerisms facing these misguided feelings towards you. Some Black African Americans are going through an identity crisis. They reflect the ways of their own oppression. Those who know and understand that creation is a lengthy process. The Hip Hop I know and love as a Bronx culture has many urban lifestyles and ethnicities that intermingled and intermarried. Every era has precursors and sets of people and events that contribute to the whole inhabitant. Without the 70s, gang wars in New York were a direct influence on the culture of HIP-HOP. With the death of Black Benji if the Ghetto Brothers we probably won't have a truce to unify the Blacks and Puerto Ricans on those crazy streets. The parties and jams may have expanded as result of this event. There's no room for this unwarranted hated. Its ignorance in abundance amongst these echo chat chambers. Let the pioneers tell their stories and learn from their personal experiences in the Bronx.
Respectively, I’m not from the Bronx but this whole issue is about where did it start and that place was BRONXDALE PJ’s by preteens. Then the formulation branched out to other areas of the Bronx then on to Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn & Staten Island that’s what the issue is solely not who contributed.

I agree with you 100% fully on no room for hatred, that’s right and exact!!!!

Dr Colon Tariq is still selling his DVDs on his website. Can u bring this to Mr Conzo's attention? We need to ensure that his content is not being shared without his permission.
Conzo Should’ve waited and let tariq do all the spending on promotions, even letting him sell the product in Theater, dvd or etc to then after all that was done at the end , thats when Conzo should’ve take tariq to court to make him paid for all the copyright infringement violations, basically taking everything that tariq made of the documentary , every cent he made of that fake documentary, even the right to documentary.. just like a beat maker, artists, composer or record labels would do with anybody who used or takes their work without their permission or consent !!
