- Taking on the entire menu TWICE at MasMais Taqueria in Amsterdam, Netherlands! I had one hour to finish a total of 24 tacos, a double portion of chilequiles, and 2 double caramel flan in order to earn my 180 Euro meal for free, a groovy t-shirt, and a spot up on MasMais Wall of Fame!!!

Thank you to everyone who has watched and enjoyed this video!! I’ve gotten loads of comments about the “mole” statement I made, and I do apologize for the over-simplification. Most renditions of mole I’ve had have been a blend of black bean, coco, spices, and peanut - it’s joyously delicious either way! "...Mole is just like black beans." 😅Mole is a sauce or a stew thickened with myriad ingredients (masa, bread, toasted nuts, crackers). It is of prehispanic origin, and there are dozens of types and thousands of recipes because everyone thinks their Tia or Abuela (Aunt or Grandma) makes the best one. I have only tasted a few kinds, and none of them had beans in them.

That little noise just before you bit the Tinga tostada was so funny. Food looks amazing and I am so glad that so many diffident kinds have made their way around the globe. I mean I would not have guessed a taqueria in Amsterdam!

I like black beans, but if I ever ordered mole at a restaurant and it tasted like black beans, I'd promptly walk out lol.
