the best thing you can do as a consumer is to not buy this product. GM is building this product in Mexico and selling it at a huge profit and you are paying for it.

You guys are so hypocritical it's crazy. Why would you encourage Americans not to buy from an American company, specifically the country's biggest automaker. They hire tens of thousands of American workers and wanting people not to buy their vehicles is not punishing GM. All they'll do is close the factory and lay off the people who built the weak selling car. Why would they keep building a car that wont sell because people want them to fail? Short-term effects of the layoffs are what no one wants but they know were not bailing them out again so they are looking at long term survivability, the goal of any company alive. Why fault them for that

Danny P. What you are gonna get for that price is going to be a small little fucked up Ford Focus with the brand new transmission to give out on you. Same thing for the VW Jetta. Atleast with GM you get over 40 years of reliability when you take care of it. 10 years if you don’t take good care of it. But atleast it would last you longer than the other American cars. And Hyundai.

Not "extremely low", but a pretty significant deal... for example, since I work for a Chevy dealer, I can get the GM Dealership Employee Discount (aka the GM D.E.D.), plus whatever discount the dealership group I work for gives us as employees. :)
Love the RS and this colour suits it well. The optional wheels looks great, but those tires (265/45/21) will cost a fortune.
Finally Chevy puts some style in their line up.

I'm 6'1 and it feels small inside. I went to the dealership to try it out.
Try cranking the seat down next time! I’m 6’1” and 300lbs and this new Blazer is thee most comfortable vehicle me as well as my wife have ever sat in!

Can’t wait until my Sierra is paid off. This will be my next vehicle. Hopefully they will add more power to it. It would be bad ass if they added the 6.2 and the 10 speed to it.
Yawwwwn. Can we get a SS model with some balls. Maybe a turbo V6, cyclone/typhoon... Errr, call it what you want. The trucks aren't that much better either. Zr2 and Denali mid size are OK. Silverado and gmc twin look good. But please give them a normal shifter instead of the column shifter... F a throwback. I'm a gm fan, but they're on a snooze ride lately. Xt6, lame. Blazer, boring. Gimmie the Ford explore (2020) ecoboost PLEASE! And put gm crossover/suvs out of thier misery!!!
121dodgers dude that 2020 explorer ST looks badass - not to mention the power - which it bugs me that GM does not offer performance engine options for any of their vehicles except for their sport sedans. I don’t even care that they changed this from body-on- frame to a unimaginative crossover, it’s the fact that it looks so sporty and then they slap an rs tag on it and the torque doesn’t even break 300 😂 like wtf..

mccraejoey82 wait till you sit in one. The wife and I were looking at Volvo, Lexus, Audi and Acura and none came close to the comfort level of the Blazer as far as ergonomics go. We never drove one as we were turned away by the price tag... $56,000 Canadian.

Why is Chevy trying to like embed their seats in the plastic trim now? The plastic side with the adjustable seat controls comes up almost flush with the seat. Super weird and flat looking. The new Silverado seems to have the same style seat.

Looks like a leak in your muffler there. Never liked that certain way the muffler is tucked in the back like on Trailblazer's as well...
To everyone saying the car is way over priced. I completely agree. But how do we fight back against the greedy auto makers. Stop buying new cars every two years and buy used ones keep them longer. They will have to drop the prices.
This is just like other modern GM cars. It's stunning on the outside and I was hoping the interior would be the same but it's a let down. The material quality is just fine if high trims stayed in the price range of 28-36k like the Mazda CX-5 and the Hyundai Tuscon but for 50K, I expect so much more. The interior layout and design is also strange and ugly. I know I sound picky but this a 50K mid-sizer from a mainstream brand so I would've expected them to step up big time for that kind of money. GM just can't figure interiors out. I recently sat in a new Chevy Traverse and GMC Terrain. The panel gaps are insane on the exterior and interior. The hood isn't even close to aligned properly and as my mom put it, "it's like a four year old put this together". One of the issues I noticed right away is that they both had very squeaky plastics around the armrest on the door and center console plus the half of the headliner would flex if you even slightly pressed on the map lights or sunroof buttons. Put as much effort into quality as you do design, GM!
The panel gaps help with rain drainage and creaks are the Joe six pack way to keep you awake on the road.

Even the 2019 RAV4 and CR-V are better looking and better gas mileage for half the price. And both also offer AWD.
I use to be a big Chevy fan but in recent years their styling has gotten God awful and this is a perfect example. Everything cheap, generic, and has this gigantic gaping front end. The only thing I remotely like is the Impala, and we all know how thats ending.
It's a shame because I really do like the way this looks (normally hate crossovers) but that price tag is insane.

I would’ve liked to see chevy come up with a K5 style concept for the blazer. Ford’s bronco looks sick, only thing is it’s a ford. Chevy could’ve really made a standout blazer by getting inspiration from the past. They just slapped a name badge on a 2018 Ford Explorer smh

$50,000 USD? That same unit here in Edmonton, Canada is $56,000. We have roughly a 33% exchange rate so with that factored in.... we’re paying less for this suv. $56,000 Canadian for this suv is ludicrous!

I don't understand why this vehicle is priced at 50k. This is a 35k maybe 37k max vehicle. The base model should be 25k to 29k. Exterior is impressive but the interior is pretty sad.
This suv should have a trim level ss with the 6.2 lt v8 and maybe a top trim level with the supercharged 6.2 lt4 engine pushing 650 hp and 650 lbft!

I ended getting one of these RS version. To be honest it's a nice SUV but the price is too much. I ended up adding 606 Hp to mine. Basically the wife took it over cause she loves it. It does come with a free lifetime of oil change and if you lose your job they pay your payments for 6 months.

WOW! I agree it being overpriced. I have a Traverse Premium that is fully loaded with a bigger and more powerful engine, (4.3) and looks so much better (on the inside) I do like the outer styling of this vehicle

So a $50K competitor to the RAV4? Seems a bit high. I feel like Chevy rushed this knowing Ford is bringing back the Bronco and it would’ve taken too long to do a real Blazer. Terrible idea on GMs part.

Supposedly the new Bronco is coming out and it looks like the old one. This looks really nice, but nothing like the old Blazer style... I feel it gives the Blazer a bad name.

For that price I can get a fully loaded ford ST with 30 more hp and over 110-lb ft more torque with better brakes and better handling with more tow capacity. This Blazer is going to be a hard sell at that price point.

I'm sorry but the Price and the MPG kill it for me, it is 2019 it should not be acceptable for a SUV or Car to an 18 mile city and a poor 21 Combine! ... 21 should be standard for City and then higher for Highway and combine! Grate looking SUV but way too expensive and not enough fuel for road trip! Chevy (GM) mess up big big time on this one! ... I was so looking forward to owning one but well guess i have to look some where else!!
The muffler has a leak, you can see it on the side. With that price and horsepower, go with the Tahoe or Suburban. Crazy how much automobile have gone up. In another 5 years or so, it will be in the $70k or more. Who's buying all this and why?
It’s a drain for all the water collected in the muffler from the vapor
@@tydrives4846 Oh, I didn't know about it. Usually when that happens, it usually evaporated due to the heat of the exhaust coming to temperature or just gets push out by the exhaust pressure. Thanks.
