I also want to add my kids umbilical cord and 1st nail cut. I so treasure everything from my kids. Since 2005 for my 1st child, 2008 for my 2nd and 2018 for my 3rd I still have those. I'm keeping those as a treasure. And I also want to include those treasures to my Breastmilk and preserve it. 💖💖💖
If you are using only 5 mL of breast milk, the yelded powder is composed much more by the conservation powder and very little from the actual milk, right? So it looks like the milk is dispensable.
Ugh!! I just tried preserving my milk and it's waaayyy too runny!! What did I do wrong?? I used pan method like you did. It has no form or consistency!
So far mine is great! I’ve had it about 2 years now. It should (in theory) last forever! The resin may yellow over time, but so far mine is still perfect.
@@SrsnovaMicaela one tsp to 5ml. Double boil for about 20 minutes until it turns into a bubble gum like texture. Set aside and let harden. Dry for a few days or weeks on moisture sucking material. Grind into powder. Combine with resin and mold.
Hey lovely I know it looks straightforward, but what if you muck up the process, how do you safeguard yourself from spending lots of money on whole kits
The Maidinthewoods Etsy shop is great to work with. There are plenty of extra supplies to practice with and they would probably send an extra preservation packet if you were worried about it. Send them a message!
Hi Allison! Question.. my powder is looking more chunky. I’m using a razor blade to break it down. When I use a spoon is sticks to the back. Does that mean I used the wrong ratio? Thanks for your help!!
Hi Allison, thank you for making this video! I used everything exactly as instructed, except I don’t think my milk got hot enough before I mixed in my breastmilk. It didn’t get as paste-like as yours. Mine was a little more dry and could barley stay on the spatula like how yours looked. It seems okay otherwise. I’m still waiting for it dry. Do you think it will be alright? Thank you! Risa
Probably! Everyone’s breast milk has a little different composition. As long as it dries and makes a dry powder you should be good to go! Drier seems better than too wet so good luck!

What is the proper name for the white powder you added to the milk before you spread it on the paper to get it into powder form?
Hey...

Is the preservation powder non-toxic?
I thought this video was going to show me how to do this without buying a kit.
You dont need the kit! you can buy the ingredients of the kit separately for cheaper c:

Hello. What if I want a specific jewelry piece that doesn’t come from this shop? How would I go about getting/using a different mold and cast?
It's really amazing.. I would like to do this.. what's that powder.. how to make it.. plz tell me.. I'm Sri Lanka..
Did you get an answer dear?
I don’t know what it is! This was a kit ordered from Etsy 💙
Does it really work? After 5 years is it still white or it is oxidated?
Mine still looks pretty good! The metal on the outside of the jewellery piece has worn worse than the breastmilk part.
Don't have parchment paper . Will foil work?
Where we get the preservation powder mam
Thank you for sharing❤
Hi, do you know the exact amount of the preservation powder needed for 5ml of milk? I looked for it on Etsy but it is not described
It comes in the kit premeasured.
Understood, thanks for your answer.@@NewLittleLife

You can order it through the Etsy shop listed in the description!
Good afternoon, you can tell me that this powder mixes in the milk, thank you
What is the name of that preservator
Can i get it separate
I would contact the Etsy shop on the description and ask! You will still need molds and resin to make the jewelry, all of which is in the kit :)
@@NewLittleLife thank you for your response but in india i am unable to find the kit.

What is the preservation powder?
You van use citric acid

Hey, how has your jewelry held up? Has it yellowed or anything like that?
So far not at all. It’s still beautiful.
@@NewLittleLife and it's still? 😬
Still looks good! The silver needs a little polishing which is normal, but the breastmilk resin piece is still perfect.
I'm curious. Is this the same process to turn your breast milk into powder so it's like a formula powder to feed baby?
No. This canNOT be consumed by the baby.
Can I just warm the milk in the microwave?
No. It needs continuing heat while you mix in the powder.
Can u please tell the preservative powder name??
I don’t know what it is.. But everything you need is included in the kit listed from Etsy!

Are you trying to spread it out or has it already dried for 24 hours?
New Little Life by Allison yes, however it’s only dried 15 hours. Should I give it 9 more?
Update! I think I was using too much milk vs the powder ratio. Plus I was double boiling in a glass dish. I don’t think it was getting hot enough.
Can I just buy preserving powder please
I believe so. Contact the Etsy shop in the description, Doreen is very easy to work with!
I don’t have stainless pans any other way ?
Any non stick pans should work
They dont have to be stainless.
I found a company that has you send the breast milk in. You have the option to add in glitter? Can I do this when you make it into the fine powder?!
You bet!! They have lots of add in options!
So do I just choose whatever jewelry I want like the necklace and it comes with the mold?

I made some breast milk jewellery of my client but it turned full yellow
What if i forgot to let the breastmilk powder fully dry and added it to resin right away?
I’m not sure what you mean. Did you grind it up after it dried?

I mean no disrespect. But why?
