Even I like songs n dances. I don't like them during movies if they don't have any significance. For example the song in Manmarziyan works whereas an item number in the middle of a movie gets my blood boiling.

Shahid is definitely hard working but he started that only after facing a lot of criticism for his works..he was probably trying to make a romantic image and was almost imitating SRK in his movies.He was called a copy of SRK in his early acting career..But he changed himself and was recognized as a good actor after Kameene..And as a very good actor after Haider
He was always a Great actor, he did fabulous job in movies like Vivah, Jab we met... Etc (before Kaminey) We Indians are stupid, we make Salman khan a SuperStar who is a Average actor.

He started working in good films the second he got dumped by Kareena. Note that all the best films in his career came after jab we met. She was a terrible influence on his career. She clung to him at all times and kept stopping him from signing films with actresses that she didn't like or was jealous of(which is like........ every popular female in bollywood) so he had to settle for actresses who were in the b or c list.
But look at him now he became better actor than SRK, that's the glow up
I don't really remember ppl hating Shahid ever. I know ppl used to criticize khans n other kapoors but for Shahid, at least where I come from, we used to look forward to watch his movies right from his movie ishq-vishq, vivah to jab we met. Yes it's true we never really considered him among top Bollywood actors but we nevertheless enjoyed his films n didn't hate ever.

One of the things I LOVE about Prabhu-sir's choreography and the way he directs it is that the more you watch this and his other dance numbers, the more you can SEE how he frames and stages everything. NOTHING about the way he does this is "static"; there's always something going on in the background. All of the dancers have something different to do, and it's all interesting. I don't know how much MTV he was exposed to coming up, but the influence in the rapid-fire editing, the colors, even the costume choices is there, especially in "Saree Ke Fall Sa" and "Mat Mari"!
