Hybridgrass Implementation for the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final

- In 2019, Atatürk Olympic Stadium won the bid to host to 2020 UEFA Champions League final with the promise of upgrading the existing pitch. Following thorough research and deliberations, UEFA has decided to use HATKO Hybrid Grass for the final match.
After the pitch was intsalled, the pitch received 5 star from UEFA consultants that tested the field. However, due to Covid19, the final was relocated to another destination.
In four years since its original installation Atatürk Olympic Stadium hosted many football games as well as other events.
On June 2023, the stadium finally hosted 2023 UEFA Champions League. Thanks to regular and diligent maintenance, 4 years after installation, the pitch received another 5 star rating on the match day.

The answer is simple. Because the UEFA gave Germany the European Cup 2024 against Turkey they got the Champions League Final (again, 2nd time after 2005 because of the EC 2008). So you can see to keep them quiet they get the CL Final :D Fun fact is that last years Europa League Final in Azerbaijan took place there because of the involving of Kosovo for (delayed) 2020 EC. But thats a long story since Kosovo is not accepted by any state even Spain (idiots) :D

It's awful with the stands being miles away from the pitch.
It's unique and a historically memorable stadium, especially for Liverpool fans but also for football fans in general. The only problem are the boring grey seat colour and the athletic track around the pitch.

Hybrid grass will grow. They use artificial grass within the real grass so the real grass has something strong the roots can bond to when growing, and increase durability. It also helps with recovery time of the grass after trauma, drainage, and longevity. Sod patches can get ripped out of the ground during play but hybrid patches can’t exactly because of the artificial grass base. It’s also arguably easier to maintain as well
