The reason I wouldn't do this is because I heard a jeweller once say toothpaste leaves micro scratches on it. Maybe it depends on the toothpaste used I don't know. I have wrecked Pandora with baking soda so don't ever do that. Makes the inside of clips go real funky. And makes it have a yellow tinge.

You should really try it Debby, your granddaughter would probably think it was fun too. I realized when I was done that I should refresh some of my other older bracelets. It definitely brightened up, minty fresh 😂

I have a Pandora bracelet that I spent over $500+ dollars on a few years ago that has just been sitting. It became black/dull and this was so disappointing. I was out of the country recently and decided to buy 2 charms only with the intent on restoring my bracelet. I used the Pandora cleaner that I brought this time but, it still did not give the restored look I was going for. However, after finding this video on RUclips, I’m thrilling to say my bracelet is going back in rotation🙂….Between this method and the Pandora cleaner I think I should be ok now🙂

Hi, that was a great success, it's amazing how dirty some people leave their bracelets get,l clean mine twice or three times a week, also I've noticed if l wear mine to the beach (not swimming) it tends to tarnish a little just from the sea air and the salt

Sharon, I was surprised how much of a difference it made. It was hard for the camera to show. I’m going to refresh some of my older bracelets now. I tend to take my full bracelets to Pandora for cleaning but while the charms come out beautiful, I think the bracelet could benefit from a good clean on its own. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Do you know if pandora makes bangle in the O crown clasp?

I never knew you could clean bracelets with toothpaste. I once read an article where they explained why you could use crumpled foil in a bowl, a little baking soda, and then you put your silver jewelry in, a little more baking soda on top and add hot water. It causes a chemical reaction and it lets off a funky smell and you just move it around with a fork (careful not to scratch anything). I've done it and the silver part was okay but the gold accent was not so okay. We sacrified that jewelry piece in the name of science 😄 I'm going to try your method next time.

Hello! I’ve only done the baking soda/foil method with silver necklace chains and it did work well. Sorry it didn’t work on your piece. The toothpaste did work for my Pandora bracelets and did get a lot of tarnish out. Just make sure to rinse well and then use a polishing cloth. Thank you for sharing!
