Lily Rivera yes of course no problem! It will work in seconds and then we just rinse with soapy water. It’s how we get full bracelets cleaned in 2min ;)
Axel Montiel I did the method with the baking soda in the pan with foil trying to take off a scum residue . What should I do? Its my pandora necklace and charms. It actually was a oxidized necklace, but they didnt tell me that that look would wear off after so long with charms on it.
Originally, I was scrubbing with soap and water and it was taking SO long for it to work. Then, I tried your toothpaste method and it worked INSTANTLY! Thank you SO much! :)
I just tried this method on my bracelet and it worked. My bracelet was tarnished but not to bad. I had it sitting out and not in it's box and I'm pretty sure that's how it tarnished. This method put life back in it. My bf gave it to me for Christmas and I thought it was ruined forever. Thank You
Former manager from pandora and nothing beats a tumbler cleaning but they are discontinuing usage over those, also rose and shine cannot be tumbled only hand cleaning is recommended with dawn dish soap, the pandora cleaner is trash. Wrights silver cleaner works wonders in minutes, also I used it on my shine and rose Tri colored bracelets and it didn’t damage it, works in seconds. Wrights is the best, works on Tiffany as well
This was a life saver! I had gotten some hair chemical on my bracelet and necklace. I tried the baking soda and it turned my jewelry black. I tried the toothpaste and my Pandora jewelry looks brand new! Thank you for this video!!!!
Just tried this on my pandora ring which was tarnished so badly. Its was practically black. I honestly didnt think it would work but it looks stunning and like new. Thank you so much!!! I'm going to try it on my Tiffany necklace next! So glad I stumbled upon your video.
I know this is an old video but I thought I would add my two cents. I used to clean sterling silver with a toothbrush and toothpaste to but was also told that the brush does put micro scratches in your sterling silver. If you're going to use the method I would highly suggest a baby brush or a very soft brush. I know it's a pain in the neck too but if you take a jewelry silver cleaning cloth and run it across your charm bracelet each time you wear it, it also helps prevent a buildup, particularly from products that might be on your body like perfume, hairspray, lotion, ect. I have two of the porcelain bow dishes and another container that I like to keep my bracelets in and I know it may sound crazy but because it's not air proof and air is what causes the tarnish, every time I buy any item that has those little packets in them to keep out moisture that look like sugar packets, if you know what I'm talking about, I immediately throw them in the dish with my bracelets. It helps keep air and moisture out of there so I very rarely have to polish them. I really don't want to keep them in plastic bags although that truly is one of the best things to do with any kind of sterling silver. So every now and then again I take the packets out and put new ones in. (I actually put in as many as will fit comfortably.) They come in shoes, boxes, paper, about a million things. Cautionary tale would be to just make sure your children do not have access to that jewelry as those packets are poisonous if ingested. Just my two cents.
One tip to maintain the shining after cleaning the charms or bracelets is to store them in little sealed bags to avoid the contact with the oxygen and the shining will last longer, I know is a little pain to store them after being use over and over, but definitely it's worthy. Thanks for the tip!!
Thank you for sharing this video. I gifted pandora ring to my wife in valentine but it get black within 2weeks. I tried this method and the result was really amazing. Thank you so much.
Sushil Adhikari you can go to the store and let them do it. It’s part of their customer service :) or they replace the ring. There may be something wrong with it. Two weeks is way to early for the (I think) silver to get discolored.
I'd highly caution against using toothpaste (especially whitening ones) on sterling silver jewelry. Silver is soft enough that doing this will damage it over time and given that most of Pandora is sterling silver you're not going to get as much longevity out of your jewelry. If you want to clean it use a baby toothbrush with a mild soap and warm water. Finally pat it dry and use a silver polish cloth to bring the shine back. To slow down the oxidation process that leads to tarnish store the jewelry in either a tarnish proof pouch or a ziplock bag.
I just did this and it worked immediately!!! Thank you so much! I have tried so many different cleaning methods and nothing has worked until I found this video. So happy right now! Thank you again!
I own a collection of Pandora silver already. Warm water and Persil Gel will do miracles in minutes. HINT: Do not wait until they oxidize, so that you remember to wash it off! Wash your jewelry once every month. It becomes really easier than waiting until they get dark!
Pro tip. Soak the charm in whitening mouthwash..scrub after and rinse. The baking soda in toothpaste can scratch the charms but the mouthwash will not..
Lily Rivera, you are an absolute life saver! I have 2 pandora rings that I haven’t worn for a while because they became discoloured, then they got even worse and turned like a horrible brown colour. I was very close to throwing them in the bin and never buying anything from pandora ever again, until you! This method you’ve show has brought them up so well and I can finally wear my beautiful rings again! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! 💖
You can’t remove oxidation, that’s a chemical reaction that already occurred. I worked at Pandora and this is definitely not the way to do it. Most, if not all, do free cleanings for people to get it professionally done.
They are just not good. I bought several pieces, followed their instructions for care, got the pouches to keep them from oxidation (well, tarnish less?) anyways, nothing worked. They are in a Pandora jewelry box inside their pouches, all ugly and tarnish. Never again spending a dime there.
Thank you so much Lily. This method works 100% . Its simple cost effective and anybody can do it at home. Pandora bangle and charms looks like new. Wonderful!!!
Thank you. But you could’ve made this shorter by going straight to the point and takling a little bit faster. It’s boring actually I had to forward to most important points. Still thanks anyway. 💖👌🏻
Omg! I tried this today because mine had tarnished bad! I don’t know why since I haven’t been going out they were worse! I even did my Tiffany necklace since I was doing something! It was the nastiest and omg it is clean! I wish o could send you a picture! Thank you
no no no sweetie! toothpaste is VERY abrasive and will put micro-scratches and pits in the sterling. Use true silver polish only. For oxidization that was done by the factory, this is not the same as tarnish.Your jeweler can remove it with a solution designed specifically for that reason. You can see the dullness from the toothbrush scratches on the second heart charm, yikes! I hate the dark oxidization Pandora uses. It makes their charms look old and crummy, so I just buy the bright ones to begin with.
I was told s jeweler can buff the scratches out of the bangles but it will actually wear the silver down over time plus they only get scratched again so I'm not going down that road. But I did just find out the black cleaning cloth that comes in the cleaning kit Pandora sells for $15.00 will help buff out scratches. I'll try and see later today and let you know how well it works 😊
Thank for sharing this video. Very helpful. However, I ruined my brand new bangle on Mothers Day..went swimming :( Any pointers on what I can do? It’s completely ruined
I destroyed my Pandora bracelet with the same metodh as well and dont use it any morse because of it so I would def want to see a video of how to get the oxidation back!
My Pandora looks rainbow-ish tarnished if this makes any sense. Help! What do I do?! I also soaked it in baking sofa and now one of my pink charms are discoloured is there anything I can do about that? Thanks!!
530 pm Michigan. I read online how to clean my bracelet, so I dropped the whole bracelet in there and let it sit for 30 minutes . I was so heartbroken it took all the silver off the top of my charms and turned it white almost to chalky white is there any way I can fix it . so it's like it is my favorite bracelet and I took years putting it together and some of my charms you can't even buy any longer. I'm 70 years old should have never undertaken this by myself. I'm hoping there's some way I can repair it.
Pandorian workers utilize the original blue Dawn dish detergent to clean the silver. A drop or 2 of Dawn in a bowl or cleaning dish with warm water. An old soft toothbrush/cleaning brush to clean the jewelry. Next, rinse thoroughly, pat dry with soft towel and shine the silver with a Pandora polishing cloth. The cloths are available at the stores for purchasing.
Toothpaste. Who knew - LOL. Thanks for the tips. My husband has bought me a lot of expensive Pandora charms so I'm happy to know how to clean them up. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Lily. How do I get back the oxidized details on one of my charms? I made the same mistake before with the foil thing and was so sad to see one of my favorite charms lose the details. Help!😩
I only use soap and water I boil it take it out let it dry and then use a cleaning cloth you want to take the tarnish out eraser is one of the best way to take tarnish off of silver
Yes please let us know! Lily, I love that you were brave enough to try this. All of the information I've researched Pandora says never use anything but warm water, soft soap, then their polishing cloth. But it doesn't work as well as taking it in and having them clean it so obviously they use cleaners. So I am always hesitant to do anything to my bracelets and charms to deep clean them. Then I get aggravated because my charms don't stay looking nice like they should. It's so disappointing 😔
Hi there! Than you for the video! Very helpful for me because in our country they do not provide free polishing in stores! I'm not certain but I heard that using toothpaste is abit harsh for the charms! Have you tried SparkleBright cleaning cream? I saw afew other ladies using it and it worked so well!
I did the same mistake with hot water/aluminum for my Disney bracelet and I was beyond heartbroken at mad at myself for not researching enough. Wish I’d seen this sooner.
So my charms are blue and pink. A snowflake and the rose from beauty and the beast. I also have princess belles dress.... soap and water isn’t working. I’m scared to use toothpaste. Just because of the colors. What can I do. Most of my charms are blue.
Your cloth is massive, only sell small ones in UK, but l found it great, woild believevhow filthy my charms were and l hardly wearvit, is the toothbrush a really soft one, many thanks
I have a pandora bracelet which is very old and l wear it all the time and shower everyday without removing it. It's still shining brightly and the charms. Is it true that taking drugs can blacken your bracelet and charms?
Harriet Hall put your charm into 50/50 bleach and water. It will tarnish it black in 5 minutes then polish it off where you want to be clean and not where you want the oxidation
I did the same thing on my bracelet and charms and it tarnished it, I usually use toothpaste to clean my jewelry but I thought because it’s not gold and it’s silver that’s why it was ruined
Thank you thank you thank youuuuuu! My pandora bracelet looks like new! You're amazing
mine too who knew x
I work at a Pandora store and we use simplegreen which is a degreaser so any degreaser cleaning liquid will remove tarnish in seconds.
Lily Rivera yes of course no problem! It will work in seconds and then we just rinse with soapy water. It’s how we get full bracelets cleaned in 2min ;)
Axel Montiel Thank you...

Do you use simply green straight or dilute it with water ?
Do pandora sell the cleaner?
This is THE trick that Pandora doesnt want you to know! Thank you so much - this video worked like a *charm* 😅

That's more than 2 cents... Lol Good information though.
...your video is BETTER than an official Pandora cleaning video that is out there! Thanks a lot!

What about white vinegar and baking soda??
I did all of that from the beginning, following their instructions. Didn’t work. They are just not good !
I just did this and it worked immediately!!! Thank you so much! I have tried so many different cleaning methods and nothing has worked until I found this video. So happy right now! Thank you again!
I’m so happy I found this, the last time I took my Pandora to the store for them to clean it they broke a charm 🥺
Thank you so much for the video 🤩❤️
Yes, actually they replaced it 🤩
I tried it out today and it worked! So happy to have seen this prior to trying out the aluminum thing. You saved me! 😍
Lily Rivera is amazing!!!! 🙌❤️😇
@@Lilybyrdd Does this work for James Avery charms?
Thank you so much this method worked like a “charm” 🤭 🥰
💖🥰
i'm sooo happy the moment i saw tge toothbrush went black after brushing my oxidized silver ring 😍 thank you for the cleaning tutorial 😍💕
omg I have just used this tip on my own pandora and some not pandora charms and my bracelet and it works thank you sooo much

I've cleaned silver with toothpaste before, it works good , if you don't have silver polish I use a.mud based silver polish, that works great for me

Works like majic!!
I'm glad you could fix that charm after you tried the foil and salt method my heart sank when you were talking about it.
bravo! I've tried everything and this works the best, so clean and shiny now. Thank you
You literally saved my limited edition valetines day charm!!!! Omg. Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you so much Lily. This method works 100% . Its simple cost effective and anybody can do it at home. Pandora bangle and charms looks like new. Wonderful!!!
You should use a baking soda paste and let it sit an hour or two depending on how oxidized it is and it comes out much nicer.
Omg this works so well thank you so much my Pandora rings were so brown and smelly from where I washed my hands with them you are amazing
Thank you. But you could’ve made this shorter by going straight to the point and takling a little bit faster. It’s boring actually I had to forward to most important points.

Do you clean the gold bracelet and charms the same way?
I’m so glad you said not to put it in the boiling water I almost did that thank you for this video

Great technique! I've been doing this as well for years, learned it from my abuelita. Works just as good for Gold Jewelry 😉
I don't even own a Pandora jewelry why am I here?

What do you use for the beads? I have diamonds beads and clear ones with painted rose's do I just use mild soap?
Yes, mild soap will be just fine with warm water.
How do you put tarnish BACK into a charm! I accidentally removed all of it and ruined the little designs
What about rosegold? Is there any way to get it back to what it was?
530 pm Michigan.

Hi Lily. How do I get back the oxidized details on one of my charms? I made the same mistake before with the foil thing and was so sad to see one of my favorite charms lose the details. Help!😩
You mentioned the Muranos and pearls. How about enamels? I have quite a few of those. I imagine toothpaste is good for enamel, lol. But just checking.

If you use a brush on jewellery always make sure the brush is very soft otherwise you can scratch it
So how do you get the oxidation back if its lost?
Do u have an special method to clean just the bracelet? Do u, use the same method??
Hi I cleaned my pandora bracelet and charms I’m worried I used hot water will it ruin my charms and bracelet if I used hot
Ok have you ever cleaned your pandora bracelet and charms in hot soapy water
That means if you clean your pandora bracelet and pandora charms in hot soapy water it won’t damage them and the bracelet won’t turn a horrible colour
what do you mean mean
They said warm water I’m I used hot water do you clean your pandora bracelet and charms in hot soapy water
what do you mean
Thank you for the video!!! I’ll try it tonight
Hi I would love to see how to get oxidation back!
the baking soda is the best.. look..ruclips.net/video/d-mL9PCvmDU/видео.html
Harriet Hall put your charm into 50/50 bleach and water. It will tarnish it black in 5 minutes then polish it off where you want to be clean and not where you want the oxidation
What is the reverse way to clean it if you have cleaned it with water soap foil and salt but it funny work.
So cool, I've never seen toothpaste used before!!! 💕💕
this is great! i cleaned it as u went. thanks
Did the pandora store tell you to use toothpaste
I did the same thing on my bracelet and charms and it tarnished it, I usually use toothpaste to clean my jewelry but I thought because it’s not gold and it’s silver that’s why it was ruined
Yes plzzzz do a video on adding tarnish again
Yes I would love to see a video on this. I have a charm that I really really love and don't want to lose it. Thank you in advance Lily
Hi you have cleaned your pandora bracelet and pandora charms in hot soapy water water are they ruined
Pandora recommends to wash in luke warm water with soap so it will not ruin them :)
If you brush charms with cz .. such long time , I don't think is good.. it might makes cz fall out
This works. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!
Great Demonstration ✅Thanks for sharing ❤️
I find fairy liquid works on silver and gold jewellery
Anyone: can the Pandora mother of pearl heart inlay charm be cleaned by soft brush and soapy water?
Please do the tutorial on how to get the oxidation back, I made the same exact mistake today to my one and only charm 😭
