Thanks so much 🙏🏽 I always wondered why no one made vlogs about different things and places in Cairo. Then I realized, perhaps they don’t even know about them lol. Tourists I mean. Hope to show Maadi next time I’m there. It’s my absolute favourite 😍
@@sanjasalemcreatesYour right, they just don’t know, so you found an area no one else has to show people! Everyone is all about the Pyramids and Museums, which is great, but they are high tourist areas and not the total Egypt!
Yes, I remember before moving here I kept trying to find videos about life in Egypt but couldn’t really find anything. It’s all very touristy, which I understand. But I wish people would see more of Egypt. Not necessarily malls and gated communities, just more of where people live and go out and to see that there’s more to Egypt than sand and ancient history.
I visited Egypt 3 times in last 18 months, believe me I am so hooked with Egypt ❤❤❤❤, off course some negative things but after all I give Egypt at least 8 out of 10
First of all, my respect and greetings (Salam) to your husband, my Egyptian brother Secondly, thank you so much for for sharing this video showing another side of Egypt and Cairo Enjoy your stay in the Mother Of the World, it is a country which an open-hearted to all the people and nations of the world
I really like how you show this side of egypt most tourists only go to the archaeological and ancient areas so they don't see how beautiful Cairo actually is hope you and you family enjoy the trip❤️
What I love about you is that you are a realistic person because you are the dominant side in Egypt, unlike social media and western RUclipsrs. I mean, why do I choose random places when I go to a country? Lol, of course there will be beggars, like any other country. In fact, we are 120 million people and there is a social difference, but most of the people are middle class and they are the ones who live in places like Al Rehab, Al Shorouk and Downtown, so thank you for showing the normal life of most Egyptians.
Thank you for your comment 🙏🏽 I got some negative feedback on here saying that I am not showing the real side of Egypt but as someone who’s travelled across most of Egypt and lives here and can compare it to other countries I have lived and visited, I feel that Egypt is a much nicer country that the West thinks. Yes there are areas that still need improving, but there are so many incredible places and I never understood why people don’t go there…after all, this is all Egypt. Thanks for watching 😊
@@sanjasalemcreates Ignore them. Every part of Egypt is the real Egypt and just like any country in the world there are simple, middle class, and upper class.
I’ve lived in Egypt 18 years now, I’m American, and I totally agree with what you’re saying. I lived in Assuit villages for a while, then Luxor, and now in Alexandria for several years. I haven’t been over to your side of the country, but it looks lovely. Nice video thanks for sharing that!!!
Thank you so much. Alexandria is such a beautiful city, I need to go back sometime. I hope you make it out to this side of Egypt as well. So much to see!
Respect honest people like you. ❤ And that is what people should know: that Egypt is a very big and old country and has developed to be one of the world’s class countries. And we have a lot of magic, a mix of welcoming people, and a variety of interesting places for each type of tourism.
Thank you! I love the eclectic mix of people and places of Egypt. I see comments here saying how places like Maadi or anywhere new is not the real Egypt, but in my opinion, it’s all Egypt and it’s all beautiful in its own way. The new and the old. Does Egypt have more work to do to improve its socioeconomic issues? Sure. But I don’t know any place that doesn’t. All I know is that Egypt and it’s people have been good to me so I have nothing but love 🙏🏽 I also know that sadly, much of the West has no idea what Egypt is really like so I hope to show a side that many don’t get to see.
You are truly wonderful, because all the tourists who come to Egypt show the bad side, and this exists in all countries of the world, and I thought that they were distorting the image of Egypt and making Egyptians appear backward. Welcome to Egypt, and enjoy you and your family a wonderful time.+ I'm following you ❤❤
Oh thanks so much for such a kind comment and for the follow. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽 I think every place has good and bad, I truly don’t know anywhere that’s perfect. But Egypt has been so good to me, as well as the Egyptian people, so I will always have more good things to say, than not. Thanks again and God bless 🥰
Inshallah ☺️🙏🏽 the subscribers will come. I am doing these videos because I love capturing life and sharing positivity and inspiration. It means a lot just to know people are watching and enjoying 🙏🏽
Thanks Sanja for this video. I am an Egyptian Canadian myself who immigrated to Canada 35 years ago. I am looking to take my 2 kids on a trip to Egypt. I enjoyed your video. I have not seen this - Al-Rehab - city but your video makes it look like a great destination. I subscribed to your channel to see more out of Egypt.
Hello! How amazing! Thank you so much for subscribing, watching and commenting 🙏🏽 so glad my video reached you. Which part of Canada do you live in? Al Rehab is great to stay in as is Madinaty.
@@sanjasalemcreates I lived for the first 10 years in Toronto too. But then moved with my wife to Vancouver. Vancouver is extremely expensive. The irony is that the images that I see coming out of Egypt about the housing conditions are far superior lifestyle compared to what our kids are going to get in Vancouver. The only reason the kids would want to stay in Vancouver is the job market. But honestly the pictures of homes on your videos are far superior to the homes they would get here in Vancouver by borrowing a million dollar mortgage. Homes in Vancouver are not worth the money. It is only the location of the jobs. The school system and the health care conditions also in Canada are not any good either. It is so expensive premium for living in the safety of Canada; but it is not productive any more. if the jobs market in Egypt were comparable to Canada then Egypt would definitely be the better choice for living.
Everything you just said is largely why we left. We work online and are able to bring in a foreign income which goes very far here. I saw no hope in Canada for us or our kids and truthfully, moving here was the best thing we have ever done, and it’s for a fraction of what the cost was in Canada. Our kids are getting a fantastic education. Lifestyle is way more relaxed. We’re just generally happier. I know Egypt has issues, so does every other country…but I’d choose here over Canada any day.
I’m Serbian Canadian that lived in UAE and now going back to the desert. Canada is sooo expensive. It’s like living in a two ** hotel and paying for 5*.😅 I loved those sandwiches.
Hahah Ćao!! That’s the best description of Canada I have ever heard 😂 and I think you’re the first Serb to comment on my videos (you deserve one of those sandwiches 😁). I got married in UAE and my husband lived there for 6 years. Hope to go back again soon for a visit. At least there you get the 5* you pay for lol. Thanks for watching 🙌🏽
Really enjoyed this video 😁❤️❤️ am glad I bump into your channel bcz it's wat I have been looking for especially now dat i want to relocate to Egypt. Please keep the videos coming 😄
I'm Egyptian living in Canada, seeing this video brings back so many memories as I grew up in Rehab and I frequented CFC a lot. Lots of nostalgia watching this. I hope one day I can come back and live comfortably there again. Glad you're Enjoying Egypt and living between Sharm and Cairo seems like a hack haha.
Which part of Canada are you in? Where do you like living more? I’m always curious as so many Egyptians wish to move to Canada and I’m Canadian who couldn’t wait to move to Egypt lol The biggest hack in all honesty is working online, making foreign income, and living in a country like Egypt 🙌🏽 I hope you get to make it back one day 🙏🏽
Welldone , congratulation on your new life in Egypt , and yes !! : feeding and playing with the kitty cats is the best thing in the world no matter where you are on the map !!! .
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏽 there is another person from the US who commented on my videos and said he hasn’t been in 43 years and is taking his family soon. Egypt has changed a lot and sure there are areas that are still rough around the edges but there are so many new things too. Where I live in Sharm el Sheikh for example is unrecognizable from when I came here in 2021, to now. Ever mind since the 60’s. Likewise with New Cairo and many other places. I hope you manage a trip back 😊
love the channel so much hope you continue in doing this and make a walk tour like watched walker and mostly walking channels in the luxurious and peaceful spots in Egypt. all support to you 🙏 ❤
Thank you so much. I appreciate your comment and you watching 🙏🏽 I will show as much as I can but don’t have any plans on doing walking tours. I mainly want to show day-to-day life in Egypt.
That’s amazing! I hope you enjoy your stay. Egypt has changed so much…especially since you haven’t been here for that long. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏽
@sanjasalemcreates Thank you. I'm sure it has changed so much that I will probably be lost finding my way but hopefully, it will all come back to me. I just watched your video in Sharm and it's amazing views, especially the healthy cooking part. You are living the dream that many of us can not do. God bless and enjoy every minute of it 👍. Beautiful family by the way.
Thank you so much. I appreciate the kind words and you watching the other videos 🙏🏽 we are blessed and as I just commented to someone else, have always put our marriage, kids, freedom of time and peace above else. North American life got way too stressful. Wouldn’t change being here now for the world. Who knows, maybe your visit here might inspire you to move as well 😄 Egypt has a funny way of stealing people’s hearts. Enjoy!
Whoa, Federal Agent! Ok I watch what too many FBI shows so I’m thinking how cool is that lol. My husband didn’t want to move here. I convinced him and now he’s glad we made the move. 😁 Perhaps your wife and kids will change their minds one day too…especially if they see some of the newer areas of Egypt. If not, I am certain your vacation will be one to remember.
@sanjasalemcreates The kind of work I do is tiering lol, but fun. Most Egyptians do not want to move back for different reasons but I wish that I could. I know that our trip is going to be a culture shock to say the least. I also know that I am going to be treated as a foreigner not Egyptian which will bother me a bit but not a big deal. I watch a lot of RUclips about Egypt, scammers at the Pyramids etc., and know that they will try to take advantage of me 😂, but they will be shocked once I react back in Arabic lol. The area you showed in the video with the Shawarma restaurant is awesome and will be in our list for sure. I wouldn't have known about unless I watched your video, so big thanks. Tell your husband he is a very lucky man. 😊
😂😂😂 finally someone showing egypt not just the tourism side, Festival Mall on the East of the Nile , over the western side we have 3 super malls Arabia, Dandy and Mall Misr, make sure you have a day though for each it takes tthat long to get around them.
I’ve been to all of them lol and it takes all day to go through them lol I didn’t film though as I went before I started my channel. Hope to go back again. Thank you for watching 🙏🏽
There are entire cities that are thousands of years old, such as Helwan, Al-Tabeen, and Badrashin (the birthplace of Hagia Sufi), and they contain many historical events in Egypt and the world, such as the first integrated sewage system in history, and Helwan hospitals for delicate brain surgeries that were performed by the ancient Egyptians thousands of years ago. Tourists know nothing about all of this, because they are local places. They are safe places, you can walk around Egypt in general is very safe, with some people looking at foreign strangers just out of curiosity
Egypt has so much beauty and history beyond the Pharaohs/temples and pyramids but you are correct, most tourist don’t get to see that. Most tourist also don’t get to see the more modern and newly developed areas and many don’t even think that Egypt has such places. The questions I got before moving here were: do they have brands in Egypt? Isn’t it dangerous there? Can you walk around without a head cover? Aren’t you worried for your kids? And so many others. I just wish to show people my life in Egypt because I think it’s quite beautiful 🙏🏽
@@noorkoko1019 driving at about 120km/hr takes just over 4 hours. Plus the stops and checkpoints is about 5 hours (sometimes a bit more if the checkpoints are slow)
In Toronto we didn’t have Carl’s Junior but I know it’s in the States. I didn’t realize they were the same thing until a few people mentioned it here. Thanks :)
Great video, however, Giza is a part of Cairo, just like Zamalek, Mohandessin, Ma'adi, etc., etc. We love it that you care so much for the animals. We did the same when we lived in Cairo which was years ago.
@@renataostertag6051 thanks so much. Animals are the greatest, aren’t they? ☺️ One note on Giza, it is part of the Greater Cairo metropolitan area but it is not part of Cairo the city as it is a city of its own and the capital of the Giza Governorate. Many people that I have met think that the Pyramids are located in Cairo (the city). Zamalek and Maadi are both part of the Cairo Governorate but Mohandessin is part of Giza. So perhaps you were referring to Greater Cairo but I was referring to Cairo, the city in the video. Thanks again for watching 🙏🏽
Whenever I talk with anyone who has visited Egypt, they basically tell me the same thing: The historic sites are fantastic, but the people are awful. Everyone you meet is running a scam, corrupt or a criminal, and you can't trust anyone. It's nice to see another side and hear another perspective. I wish the government would do something to clean up the tourist sites so more people could see that there are honest people in Egypt.
Ah that’s too bad. This is usually an issue in the main touristic areas (mainly they try to get you to buy things or overcharge) but if you venture out even just a little bit, you will see that most people are very welcoming and kind. This is a great blog by another RUclipsr that shows just that: ruclips.net/video/QzE1hLgTehs/видео.htmlsi=dWENj9U6Ii6BtjWr I haven’t experienced anything bad ever and I visited Egypt many times since 2010, and have lived here now for 3 years. I’ve been to touristic places as well as super local areas and some of the newly developed “fancy” locations like the one in my video. The worst thing ever was just staring from men lol I think if people go with a positive attitude and open mind, and try to avoid the tourist traps (which are also all over Europe too), it would make for a much more enjoyable experience. Thanks so much for watching and your comment 🙏🏽
@@sanjasalemcreates Thanks for your response! I appreciate what you're saying, but I don't think it's realistic to ask people to avoid the "tourist traps" as the ancient Egyptian sites (Giza, Valley of the Kings, Luxor, etc.) are 99% of the reason that most people are traveling to Egypt in the first place. I also don't think that it has to be this way. You mention that there are also tourist traps in Europe, but none of them have anything like the kind of harassment and exploitation of tourists your hear about when it comes to Egypt. And it's not just because Egypt is a poor country. I've traveled extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa and South America to big tourist sites like Machu Picchu and have never encountered this kind of aggressive attitude toward tourists (like following them around even being told "no" many times) or scammy practices (like agreeing to a price and then changing it) that seem to be common in Egypt. Egypt needs to do better. Again, I think the Egyptian government needs to look at tourists as a source of income to protect rather than as suckers to be exploited.
I meant tourist traps such as agreeing to have people take photos of you, buying souvenirs from random stands right at the main attractions vs local markets. Best thing is to just not engage. I didn’t mean not to go to the tourist attractions. Also, if you join a guided tour or have a personal tour guide, you can generally avoid all this. Again, I haven’t experienced type of harassment myself neither has anyone I know who has visited. I do know that when I went to the pyramids the first time in 2013 there were a lot more people trying to offer rides, trinkets, fake tickets to things but they didn’t harass me. I just kept walking and they got the hint. But this has all been cleaned up since and when I went back last year and in 2021, none of that was there and there was a ton of police. So I do think they are doing things to help prevent this. I have been to Mexico (Mayan Riviera) where I felt way more harassed for money and was treated very rudely when I didn’t pay up and same in Italy (Rome and Milan). Not disagreeing with you, there is room for improvement…just had a different experience myself.
Bless your amazingly beautiful hearts for this information and all you do to educate the world ... but may I please request that you kindly please google feeding cats/kittens milk/cream - is not good for them as they cannot digest due to their lack of lactase enzymes ... milk causes gastro upset/body inflammation ... perhaps better to let them have leftover meat/vegetables (no bones or onions!) but please check online first which ones you have that are safe for them to eat ... some are poisonous like onions or food cooked with onion ... your kind souls are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!!! Egypt has changed so much - it is so very exciting, looking forward to visiting soon!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. 🙏🏽 Yes, I know this about milk and onions. I have been around animals most of my life and have taken care of many. We have a stray Baladi dog and feed many cats where we live. Our best friends here in Sharm take care of over 70 stray cats, and we have helped them as well. You can watch the video here if you likeruclips.net/video/5JFhA92-IkM/видео.htmlsi=Kf4WTcTa6SAqdvX8. I usually avoid giving cats milk, but in this case they were still nursing and when we tried to give the mom some chicken, they also tried eating it and then had stomach troubles as I think they were too small to eat proper food. 🫣 We only gave a bit of milk at a time. They seemed ok with it, no tummy troubles afterwards 😊 Egypt is beautiful. I find beauty in it everywhere I go. But I do wish the stray animal situation was better. One thing at a time I guess 🥰🙏🏽 Thanks again for watching and your comment.
Thank you 😊 We bought a car here in Egypt. The roads are brand new, and no traffic. There is no reason to be scared. We have driven from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo and back many many times. It’s very safe.

I am very happy in Egypt and Egypt has been very good to me 😊 if I ever make it to the city you are in, I would gladly visit your factory. I am sure the textiles are very beautiful. I love how you watch an entire video about life in Egypt and that’s the only thing you have to comment. Not that I need to justify anything but since you missed the part where I said that I was a helicopter mom in Canada (which means overprotective on all accounts including seatbelt wearing), I will say that videos are edited and often, the clips are rearranged. Not sure if you know this about videography. The first scene where they are facing each other was taken in front of our door while my husband was locking up …the door which you can see through the windshield if you pay attention. I think it’s ok to not wear a seatbelt while the car isn’t moving, if I’m not mistaken. The second scene was right after we pulled out of a pit stop, and just like every other time in my 12 years of being a mother I reminded them to put their seatbelts on literally the moment I finished filming. Thankfully nothing happened on this completely empty dessert highway in those 5 seconds it took to pull out of the gas station.
This is the Egypt for the upper wealthy class.Gated community. Yes Egypt has everything you can find in the west but if we are honest the vast majority of the population isnt living this lifestyle. You are obviously among the wealthy..so yeah leaving Canada and its crappy weather for Sharm and Rehab is great. If you lived on Faisal St. Or in shobra or some other crowded area what would it be like for you. Yes it is great you are showing the rich part of Cairo. I have seen these areas and the fancy villas as well but you should also mention that it is a small portion of the population that lives this lifestyle. The video is somewhat misleading..otherwise nice footage!
Thanks for your comment. Almost every RUclipsr shows either the touristic side of Egypt or what one would call a poor area (which statistically makes up about 30% of the population, the rest of the population is lower-middle and upper-middle class then you have the elite or “rich”, so yeah, it’s a big part of Egypt that I feel deserves to be seen). I didn’t want to show what everyone else is already showing. I clearly say that I wanted to show a side that most tourists don’t get to see. Simply because many people in the West don’t think that such things exist here, which isn’t true. I was clear to say that this is an middle-upper class area and simply clarified that the Egypt is not a 3rd world country as most think. This is also about my life in Egypt and my experiences. You have a misconception that coming from Canada I am rich, and maybe I am compared to some, but I am not. Canadians largely live on borrowed money and have huge amounts of debt. I am one of them. From school, to mortgage to car, most people in Canada don’t actually own anything. It just all looks nice on the surface. But earning an income online does help us, since I now live in a country which has a lower cost of living in Canada and am able to work with international clients. This has allowed me to pay my Canadian debt, have more freedom of time and enjoy life more than I ever did in Canada. You would be surprised to know how many homeless people live on the streets of Canada and how many people have to steal diapers and baby formula because they cannot afford to feed their babies. It may appear like Canada is rich and Egypt is poor but this is actually not fully true. Either way, I appreciate your comment and thoughts. Have a great day 🙏🏽
@@sanjasalemcreates The global village economy model had introduced these non-traditional (novel) situations. In Canada, we have a similar issue with software engineering jobs contracted out of India at a fraction of the pay-rate in Canada enabling the person to live an higher lifestyle in India and thereby pushing the prices higher for their Indian compatriots who are competing for the same resources. Egypt is currently targeting this economic model where a generation of software engineers can earn income comparable to the West while living in Egypt. President Sisi clearly stated this as a goal of his administration while opening a center for cloud computing in the New Administrative City in April. تفاصيل افتتاح الرئيس السيسى لمركز البيانات والحوسبة السحابية بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة، ruclips.net/video/EHa9zgPymts/видео.htmlsi=EyiYuF1jbQKapRlX I worked once as a team leader for a Vancouver software company where my engineers were all remotely working from India. Eventually they replaced my job (which was too expensive) by an Indian engineer at a fraction of the cost they paid me. I am now trying to negotiate with my employer an arrangement where I can work remotely from outside Canada, e.g. Egypt. But I am not hopeful my company will allow it. I will just have to come to visit as a tourist and wait until I retire to return permanently to Egypt.
Yes this is the way of the world. I don’t really agree with it and wish that all countries and companies paid their employees fair wages, but it’s not going to happen any time soon. I used to work as an HR manager for a large corporation many years ago, and most of my colleagues at that time lost their jobs to lesser paid employees in South America. It’s been happening for years. I hope you find a company that does allow for you to work remotely. Perhaps it’s worth checking other international companies (such as in Germany or other European countries). If the pandemic was good for anything, it created more remote opportunities. I hope you find a good remote position and that you can move to a country that you like. Best of luck!
7:00 Not true: the vast majority of Egyptians are suffering from the current economic downturn and the devaluation of EGP vs USD. Life in New Cairo areas DOESN’T reflect life in the rest of Cairo or the country
I can’t really comment about some of the more local parts of Cairo as I’ve not been in them alone at night, but the newer gated communities are very safe, even at night. Likewise with Sharm. Women are out alone or in groups with other women all hours of the night. Sharm in particular is one of the safest areas of Egypt. Next to no crime. Kids are out at like 2am (not mine 🤣) The worst I’ve experienced is men staring lol but this is the norm for all countries when there’s a foreigner around. I have met many single female expats and tourists in Egypt. None have experienced anything of that nature. There are men though who will try to take advantage of single foreign women in the sense that they flirt or start a relationship with the sole purpose of gaining something out of it (visa for another country, money etc).
I appreciate your beautiful video, but you have to know that not all of Egypt is like this. Most of Egypt’s cities, 95%, live in poverty and do not care about education or health. There are also 70,000 political prisoners or more. All of this is because the military is the one who rules Egypt and they are dictators. Therefore, I would like to say that Egypt is a beautiful country and so are the Egyptians, but the problem is with the military since 1952. Thank you very much for this beautiful video and I hope you remain happy in Egypt ❤️
Thank you for your comment 🙏🏽 I think it’s important to show the good and bad parts of any country so people can get a better understanding of the world around them. Every place has two sides, Egypt is no different. I just choose to show some of what tourists don’t see because all what you just said, is what is already shown to the West. Thanks again.
Your image of Egypt isn't at all accurate either, these places like you said are upper middle class, which is roughly like less than 5% of Egyptian population. Most of Egypt is absolutely not like this and Cairo especially is not at all a representation of what Egypt actually is.
Thanks for your comment. My videos are meant to show the side of Egypt that many tourists never get to see. From my perspective. Within my daily life. You are welcome to create videos which show Egypt the way you see it. That being said, I have lived in Egypt for over 3 years and have visited many times before. I have been to and stayed in some of the poorest areas (I’m talking no door on the home, dirt on the floor) but have also had the privilege of staying in more affluent areas. So I’m aware of the diverse economic situations of people here. Much like I am aware of it in Canada and back home in my own country of Serbia. I clearly state in my video that I am trying to show a side that people don’t get to see and also state that it is in fact upper middle class. Respectfully, your evaluation of 5% being in this class is inaccurate. Firstly, most economic statistics are outdated (roughly between 2013-2019). But even if we use that data, the breakdown is roughly 30% poor, 45% low-middle class, 25% upper-affluent. No matter the economic breakdown, Egypt is beautiful in so many ways so I’ll continue showing that beauty in my way. Cheers :)
@sanjasalemcreates I apologize if I came across aggressive, and I understand that this is your perspective. But not only as an Egyptian myself but also someone who lives in upper Egypt all the way down south of Cairo, I'm well aware of the conditions that the large majority of Egyptians live in, I would consider myself at the better end of the middle class but the vast majority of uppper Egypt is neglected, forgotten, worn out and staright up not considered a part of the country most of the time. I understand that these videos you share are personal experiences and not for political reasons/propaganda, but as you may be aware, classism in Egypt is a sensitive topic, especially like I said between lower and upper Egypt but also moreso in social circles within Cairo itself, so much that there's a sarcastic term we use that there's "Egypt" and there's "Masr". Egypt obviously being the western name of the country but also implies the western/privileged/luxurious life while Masr is the opposite of that, and Masr is ofcourse is most of the country, I won't dive into statistics but the 25% is a very optimistic figure, that is basically saying that about 25 million Egyptians earn about 100k EGPs a month. I find that extremely hard to believe. Anyways, I'm sorry for being defensive it is merely a knee-jerk reaction. Really, only an Egyptian who has seen how much the ship keeps sinking can feel what I feel. It's not getting better, and any kind of optimistic point of view, even if it's a totally innocent expat/tourist one, still somehow feels insulting. I know it's not your fault, and like you said, you're just sharing a foriegn prescriptive but I can't help it lol. Hope you enjoy your stay.
No need for apologies, though I appreciate it. You are entitled to your opinion, which I completely understand, welcome and respect as it comes from your own experiences and it is after all what makes us human. Truth is, no matter what someone like me posts, there will be someone with opposing views. It’s normal. Coming from the West though, my knee-jerk reaction is to defend all counties which the West has had a habit of crapping on (forgive the crudeness). My own county, much like all Arab/Middle Eastern countries are always represented in such terrible ways. Before moving to Egypt, everyone I knew questioned why in the hell I would move here. Like what is there in Egypt? Like there was no value here. My kids are half Egyptian. My husband is Egyptian. I do feel protective over Egypt. I make no comments about, nor do I care to discuss government or political policies. But I do wish for people to see that Egypt goes beyond what the West portrays. This is why I choose to make my content in this way. I make no false claims. I stated it’s upper-middle class. But the West seems to think that this class doesn’t even exist here. The stereotype in the West is just so ridiculous, that people literally asked me before coming if I was allowed to walk around without a head cover on. Aside from that, there’s just so much negativity and darkness in the world. I would much prefer to spread love and light.
What're you trying to say buddy, if you wanna be one sided historian it's the wrong place to do so, but absolutely we don't want to hear about your miserable life experiences and your political views and pleas try to enjoy such a wonderful video.

First time I see foreigners showing the beautiful side of Egypt thank you keep it up
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
I visited Egypt 3 times in last 18 months, believe me I am so hooked with Egypt ❤❤❤❤, off course some negative things but after all I give Egypt at least 8 out of 10
I’m so glad you are enjoying your trips to Egypt. I feel the same. 😊
First of all, my respect and greetings (Salam) to your husband, my Egyptian brother
Secondly, thank you so much for for sharing this video showing another side of Egypt and Cairo
Enjoy your stay in the Mother Of the World, it is a country which an open-hearted to all the people and nations of the world
Thank you so much! 😊🙏🏽
I really like how you show this side of egypt most tourists only go to the archaeological and ancient areas so they don't see how beautiful Cairo actually is hope you and you family enjoy the trip❤️
Thanks so much! ☺️🙏🏽
Great job this my first time seeing your channel. I like 👍 so much. Big Hi 👋 from USA 🇺🇸
Thanks so much :)
@@mohamedfareed9163 thank you. I totally agree. 🙌🏽
You brought tears to my eyes...humble and very informative video.
Seeing my old country, is always a blessing.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙏🏽 Egypt has so much beauty. Wish I could share it all.
Respect honest people like you. ❤
And that is what people should know: that Egypt is a very big and old country and has developed to be one of the world’s class countries.
Great video..God bless your family...Enjoy your stay in Egypt...It is a great country.

Hello! How amazing! Thank you so much for subscribing, watching and commenting 🙏🏽 so glad my video reached you. Which part of Canada do you live in?
Al Rehab is great to stay in as is Madinaty.
@@sanjasalemcreates Thanks for the helpful reply. I live in Vancouver, BC.
My pleasure! Never had a chance to visit Vancouver. We lived in Toronto. I hope you make it out to Egypt and that your kids enjoy it.

They are safe places, you can walk around
Egypt in general is very safe, with some people looking at foreign strangers just out of curiosity

One note on Giza, it is part of the Greater Cairo metropolitan area but it is not part of Cairo the city as it is a city of its own and the capital of the Giza Governorate. Many people that I have met think that the Pyramids are located in Cairo (the city). Zamalek and Maadi are both part of the Cairo Governorate but Mohandessin is part of Giza. So perhaps you were referring to Greater Cairo but I was referring to Cairo, the city in the video.

This is a great blog by another RUclipsr that shows just that: ruclips.net/video/QzE1hLgTehs/видео.htmlsi=dWENj9U6Ii6BtjWr
I haven’t experienced anything bad ever and I visited Egypt many times since 2010, and have lived here now for 3 years. I’ve been to touristic places as well as super local areas and some of the newly developed “fancy” locations like the one in my video. The worst thing ever was just staring from men lol
I think if people go with a positive attitude and open mind, and try to avoid the tourist traps (which are also all over Europe too), it would make for a much more enjoyable experience.

You're funny. But yeah I agree Re lactos
They seemed ok with it, no tummy troubles afterwards 😊
Egypt is beautiful. I find beauty in it everywhere I go. But I do wish the stray animal situation was better. One thing at a time I guess 🥰🙏🏽 Thanks again for watching and your comment.

I love how the kids are wearing their seatbelts while in the car? SMH

I worked once as a team leader for a Vancouver software company where my engineers were all remotely working from India.

Not true: the vast majority of Egyptians are suffering from the current economic downturn and the devaluation of EGP vs USD. Life in New Cairo areas DOESN’T reflect life in the rest of Cairo or the country
Which part isn’t true? I don’t recall saying that New Cairo represents life in the whole country.
Not the real Egypt
الرحاب مش مصر ازاي ؟؟ دي مدينه الطبقة المتوسطة يسطا صباح الفل
It's not safe for women alone however.
Kids are out at like 2am (not mine 🤣)
The worst I’ve experienced is men staring lol but this is the norm for all countries when there’s a foreigner around.
@sanjasalemcreates ❤️❤️❤️
Do not listen to this idiot .@@sanjasalemcreates

For a second I thought you were describing Italy or France lol
