A lot of bands claimed, or were proclaimed, to be "alternate music". These lads should be the definition of alternate. Most of the other bands in that category were pantywaists in comparison.
It’s great when you watch a slightly obscure band that you know are epic . Every posts intelligent remarks and shares nostalgic thoughts . No mindless fking “whose here in 2157”.
Mike Scott kicks Dylan's arse as a songwriter and musician, IMO. But I hate to break it to you, but the 'light in my head' is about slipping into a coma on his deathbed. And the 'you in my arms' is his dead wife. But you knew that, yeah? Still happy??
I can't believe the audience isn't dancing...Man when We saw them in the 80's We were sooo stoked to be able to see them live...The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver British Columbia 🇨🇦 I've seen many concerts in my life but The Waterboys was the Best!!! 🌊💙🌕
I`m a huge fan, I`ve seen them on every tour and I remember seeing them play these songs on The Tube at the time. For me Fisherman`s Blues is one of the truly great songs. Thanks `Roy Grove` for posting this.
Damn u so f in lucky bro never came to Washington DC what a damn shame been into them for 37 years & I’m. 71 damn those days still love this version best ever seen. Or heard what a pleasure to get this !!!!!! Killed it!!!!!!👍❤️😻☮️🔥🎶🙏🇺🇸😹

Incredible perfomance. Mike Scott is a truly underrated artist imo. He's an incredible songwriter. Tracks like Fishermans Blues, And A Bang on the ear, This Man is in Love, and my favourite Old England is Dying. He's also done some great covers like Dylan's Girl From The North Country and Nobody 'Cept You, and Van Morrison's classic Sweet Thing.
@@sifterdrifter9839 incidentally Queen and The Waterboys are two my favorite bands. Both were acused by so called experts being too selfindugent( WTF does it even mean) For me both unique and versatile bands covering many genres so they are never boring and vocalists with passionate voices and when you hear them first time you are hooked forever.
Kids with Attention Deficit special needs my ass Kids with special gifts me and my brother are the same way heck my brother can't read but musical when he was young incredible ! What a voice the school systems can really screw you up
Maravillosa esta banda espectacular este tema pero estoy biendo el video y la gente solo escucha o abla entre ellos en mi pais estariamos saltando y bailando como locos
Omg I'm hearing for 1st time. I'm amazed. Whst era is this. What year did they become big. But omg it's so relevant to all ears. Beautiful irish sounding. Music. Like s.o.a. soundtrack.
What a song...a version...the energy...the incredible fiddle/mandolin combo! Whoooo!
Sure! A masterpiece. I feel Irish on the shore of the sea!
That audience doesn't deserve what's in front of them.....
If I could turn back time .........
Such an amazing musical era !!! ❤
Such freakin' awesome songs, especially Fisherman's Blues.

Mike Scott you are a genius!
Fortunate to see The Waterboys and Big Country live in the mid 80’s. Never bettered.
I saw them open for U2 at the Long Beach Arena, I think around 84ish85? The eighties were special!
They created there music in a small village in the west coast of Ireland most of there songs are connected to the sea

De los ochenta y actuales, yo los ví en 2002 y siguen ahí, prolíficos en discos y temas, muy grandes.
