F1 is very popular in South America as there were Brazilian F1 pilots who drove for Ferrari and McLaren for decades: Emerson Fitipaldi, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna. These men came from well to do families and achieved celebrity status and great success as F1 pilots.
First off, I love the way your hair looked! I remember Raceway Park in NJ😁 I also love room service breakfast in hotels; the best. We’ve had a hot and humid July in NYC, which has led to a lot of rain. Thanks again for sharing your travel and love your morning rambles.

Your hair looked gorgeous. I don't plan to fly anywhere in the summer, ever again. All my trips to Europe were in summer, now I will only go in late fall and early winter. My parents had homes in Colts Neck, Navesink, and Deal, NJ as well as in NYC when I was growing up so we were neighbors, I guess. Love the East Village and I saw one of the many "famous", Ray's Pizzas. The Standard in Los Angeles is good too, apparently. NYers are serious people and I was struck by how much friendlier and more cheerful LA is. Nice trip, nice video, Michele. 😍
Nascar! yes ... though I've fallen off too ... give me Darrel Waltrip and the Terminator! Haven't tried the F1 show yet ... but the same crew did Break Point on tennis which is an amazing series on all the wonderful new generation players which has me watching tennis now obsessively. Now I'll try the F1 series - I just always preferred the pit stops on Nascar. Love the Raceway Park memories ... Sunday! Funday!

I am interested to see how you like using the space saver bags. I tried using them once and I found that I could pack more except it made my bag weigh to heavy and I had repack without them.
@dianebraden629 • That’s the big drawback 😕. I always check my big duffel bag and it can seriously cause your bags to go over the weight limit! You have so much more room but, those bags still weigh a lot without air 😮

Omg loved all of the Formula 1 seasons. Those drivers are amazing. They start as little kids doing it and it is actually huge in the US.
24:49 Formula 1 racing is to Europe what the NFL is to the US. Formula 1 is one of the top sports in the world and their drivers are the best in the world. Their technology drives safety and car technology precedents for cars around the world. They race in multiple countries on different terrains throughout all types of weather. Unlike Indy racing where they go in an oval in nice weather. Go Karts for kids are far more ubiquitous for children in Europe, not the U.S.

When I've had a lot of hairspray on my hair I've said that I could lift my hair off my head and just place it on the nightstand for the next day! 😂 Your flight changes are why I hate flying. Make one little change in my flight plans and I'm thrown into a panic atrack!
We love staying at The Standard in London. It's so convenient, right across the street from St Pancras station, and I love the decor. It's so 70s, it's like being in grade school again!

🌌🔭My Dad is an astronomer. He uses a red flash light when using his telescopes. It's pitch black in the hills outside the city or star parties out in the middle of nowhere. The less city light pollution, the better. Think of what it's like when you just came in from a bright sunny day and step into your house. It takes a minute for your eyes to adjust to less light.

Michele, I was so surprised that you said you lived in Long Island City. I grew up in Long Island City. In the 1950's , it was a very ethnic area with Italians, Spaniards, Irish and Greek. That area has really changed. It used to be a very industrial area, but the waterfront has since been developed and now rivals Manhattan for apartments, condos and, of course, rents. Some real estate developer woke up one day and realized that the waterfront in Long Island City was a really nice area, so up went the apartment complexes and restaurants. Believe it or not, Vernon Boulevard used to be a desolate area, but, we've come a long way baby.
