@milnthorpe31584 I'm using Sabian cymbals. And yes, I use only that single mic to record. I edit the sound then later in Cool Edit. Put a compressor on it, eq it a bit and that's it. I've got a video up somewhere where I explain the whole recording thing of my drums.
I love that you just sat there and rocked it. I never understood why people put so many mics on a kit. I always used just one. I wanted the actual sound of the drums. I'm also a punk rocker so maybe I just don't give a shit what people think.

On the first try the video recorder had shut down and it just didn't capture the vid. And same thing happened in the 2nd time. Well, in the 2nd time my mp3 player played the songs in the opposite order just for a finishing touch And I made no mistakes! So, I got pissed off and I'll try to record them some other day.
great job man... one question.... what technic do you use for the right hand in the faster tempos??, i see that you move your arm up and down when you play fast on the hi hat, have a name that technic???
Hehehehe, Commando wasn't so hard. It's only 3 short pieces in the whole song with the fast hi-hat. Let's Dance was much harder....keeps going on that effin' hi-hat :-)

@galbo2 I don't know what the technique is called. My arm just moves up and down automatically :-) My technique is mainly practice and build up stamina. Otherwise I don't know.
sounds like a great gig too. I like the Ramones live stuff from Loco Live onwards as it's faster but this sounds real fast. Don't think they were as fast at the seminal San Bernardino gig and that was 82

@metaller8 It's called "The Chinese Wall". Just google for a torrent for it and you can download the whole concert. It's from a radio broadcast, I think from New Years Eve. The whole concert is amazing. Great harmonies and tight as fuck. If you can't find it just contact me and I'll upload it for you somewhere so you can download it.

why do you keep you hi-hat that high? is it easier to play faster? because i have trouble keeping up on the hi hat for the ramones and i tried lowering mine instead.
