Jeeeez, I thought that those sounds came from electric guitar with some punky-kind pedals. I'm shocked that all of this is an ukulele The production man 🔥🔥🔥
These vids always add a whole extra layer of appreciation for these songs for me, they're so fuckin insightful and fun. Very grateful that you can share these and would be so cool to see more
I think it’s really cool that Paul Meeny is giving props to Tyler Joseph… it’s often hard to escape the feeling that Paul is the mastermind behind the insane jumps in production value from BlurryFace to Trench-it’s nice to hear Tyler is a production mastermind as well. 😅
I thought the driving choruses (not the very first one) and the bridge were primarily rhythm guitar driven with a healthy dose of piano. The reality is so much more unique and magical. I could spend decades trying to capture that sound and never get it figured out. Just next-level brilliance on display here.
It’s a dream come true you working with them. (😉I was a huge fan of you and Mute first/ my favorite band since MM self titled ) but later fell in love with TOP too.
This is awesome, a unique approach to a song like this. Ngl however i want Overcompensate breakdown real bad. The production on that song is something else
Dude thank you sir for this kind of insight. I'm 43 years old and in the world around me I'm too old to love an emo band. What the world around me doesn't realize is that this band is much much more than that. Honestly, unlike any band I've ever experienced when you really start to "lay the fibers side by side." I also enjoy and appreciate the process of creation when it comes to music, dabble in it myself and this is part of the magic with Tyler and yourself. I'd pay money just to sit and vibe while creation was happening with you boys. Keep the videos coming and thank you for the magic you make.
Clique: “It’s all ukes?”
Tyler and Paul: “Always has been.”
IT'S A UKE?? that's so clever
On the stream, he confirmed.
Always has been

damn I did hear the uke during the 'I remember' part and of course in the outro. But I thought the rest was just electric guitars.
God damn geniuses. Bravo

I'm 46 and glad that you said that. You understand and I appreciate that very much. Cheers...
Yeah… I’m 48 and my adult kids think I’m nuts for loving TøP so much 😂
Great chord changes and then the sonic creativeness of the ukes!! YES!
this is amazing
Wild how different it sounds with the drums in rather than soloed! That's some sonic wizardry right there.
I love this so so so much
Love the BTS it is so inspiring and helpful. Mahalo!
you're insane bro, love your production!
That's incredible!
I stg I literally thought to myself that I heard a uke in the backround the whole time!
That's so cool that it actually is!
Please do long format videos Paul. Love the production work 🤗

Tyler really likes the Ukelele.

I would watch 10 hours of this. You inspire me to make better music
IT WAS A UKE THE WHOLE TIME??????
NO WAY
"Wait, it's all uke!?!?"
"Always has been"
SOMEONE PLS MAKE UKULELE TABS FOR THIS AAA!!
Can you please explain the intro to Overcompensate?
Yes because I want to know how and why they added the industrial mechanical noises sooooo badly because I love them so much
this man really just ran ukuleles through guitar rig presets without any changes in it💀
OHHHH thats what that was
i could listen to you talk about every little detail on every album you've ever made. i love looking into people's creative process.
I feel like I'm going insane.
IT'S ALL UKES?!
i love that you used tyler's favourite movie to make fun of tyler and then you used josh's favourite movie to... also make fun of tyler
:o
Can you please explain what made yall want to put the mechanical noises in the Overcompensate intro and how they were made, pretty please???🤭👉👈
I can't tell you how much I love those noises being in that song.
It's ukes all the way down
Is that GarageBand? 😱
So Clancy is a fusion of Tyler Durden and st Joseph?
So metal ukulele next, right???
what DAW do you use?
WAIT I USE GUITAR RIG WHAT
Tyler didn’t play the Ukes, Josh did. 😂
Hey Paul you spelled ukulele with an e instead of a u
Now just tell me that the bass is some Bass uke and we are done.
Wait, it's all uke?
Always has been
