      That's one of the biggest buzz killers for me is continuing to get lost in an open world game that's already offering little to no directions or what to do. Plus the fact, open world games are overly saturating the game market atm alas FPS games early 2010s.

    I’m turning 30 this year just like Kirby so this game is momentous for me :)
    Kirby has always been a huge part of my life all the way back to renting Super Star from family video as a young child and playing it with my cousins to playing Nightmare in Dream Land as a 10 year old. I can’t describe how good it feels to see Kirby still making a splash and celebrating his 30th in such a big way. Life is good ☺️

    The renaissance of 3D platformers started in 2017 and has slowly built up from there. And now that Kirby has finally made the jump to 3D after more than 2 and a half decades of 3D gaming, that renaissance is already set in stone! What a time to be alive!

      HAL Laboratories have talked about the game roughly over the years throughout interviews being conducted over the years. The game appears to be larger than initially meets the eye as well. I believe that it all started with the interview about how the website was going to be appearing for the game initially. The interview caught everyone off guard who read it, including me as well. Another user also commented exactly how the 30th anniversary game would run exactly down to a T as well on really old Kirby Squeak Squad videos to a certain extent.

    This is how a Kirby game should be. While I've always wanted actually HARDER difficulties in Kirby they finally add one and it still feels easy. The game is lighthearted and the colors really pop on the OLED. It's a breeze of a game that is relaxing and enjoyable despite not having much of a challenge. Kirby was invented to be an easy platforming game for kids and newbs. For everyone else it's a stroll through a park on a nice day with a few surprises. If you want to play through a game from start to finish this will be an easy game to check off your list. I like the level challenges to add to replay value. It took me a few months to come around to spending the full retail price on it but I'm glad I did. I still feel it's more of a $40-$50 kind of game in terms of value and production but the price of the game is the hardest part about it. It's like a nice summer breeze. Really enjoyed the game and hope this bodes well for the future of the Kirby franchise.

Kirby is a series that I've always heavily enjoyed, and while I haven't played every game in the series (I ended up missing out on the GBA and Wii titles, along with the "Dark Matter trilogy," Canvas Curse , Rainbow Curse, Mass Attack and Battle Royale), it's still one quite near and dear to me. It was back then when they talked about them wanting to create a cone and car ability powerup, I believe as well. They even snuck in a message to be used when they knew when the technology was possible for them to finally be able to create a fully 3D game. I believe it has something to do with the amount of the extra worlds made available in the game as a whole.

    I never thought I would enjoy this game as much as I have. Yes, it's easy at the core, until you try to get everything that isn't revealed when you accidentally tear down a poster (1 out of 4) or find a chick that needs it's mum (1 out of 5). Now you need to go find the others the next time through the level. The music is really awesome with one jazz/fusion track that would need expert musicians to play! Oh, and the cutest scene in video games, just go to your house in Waddledee town and take a rest! You can also get in and get out in a short time for any of the levels and challenges. All of these things make it one of the best games I have on my Switch, which is hard to do considering I have repurchased almost all of the Wii-U ports that I had, plus the early third party and indy games. Yes, it's worth it! Thanks for the review.

      The game was made after years of evaluation, and planning. It was made not designed in your normal time span of normal game development. I guess my two previous sentences are partly true based on that the company already had ideas fully thought out for the game in a rough idea form for some of the power up capabilities, and the rest of the ideas were already fully thought our already; it is unclear if they were put into action or not on a smaller scale considering that the Nintendo Switch was not even possible to get made yet when they got the initial idea approved by Nintendo. Based on what the company was saying, thoguh, they were testing the ideas out somehow if they were able to confidently answer the questions regarding the game.This game is not indie developed with Nintendo likely approving every decision that was not talked about by the company through an interview, especially since the company was not sure on the amount of players to allow for the multi-player functionality of the game. The game can handle up to 8 people playing at once, at least according to what the company was proposing the finalized idea to be for the game.

    So much of this game reminds me of other game elements. But most of all it reminds me of Smash Bros Ultimate's adventure mode 'World of Light'. The overworld design is very similar in design with the fractural star for each challenge. The storyline is pretty much the same, you need to save Leon because his soul was stolen just like Mario and the other characters... either Sakura used Smash Bros world of Light as a template for his next game or he put as much of his own IP into smash bros to get approval for a new Kirby game. The ending where all the buildings magically align themselves to attack the final boss feels very much like Viewtiful Joe, then turned up to Super Sayain mode with Kirby's very own Kamehameha wave. Also there is some nods to Mario and Luigi super star saga.

      Once you understand that everything happening is leading to the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy, if you get saved, suddenly the weight of everything happening seems less scary.
      You'll understand, "Oh, they're trying to destroy America as its the last hurdle for full global control."
      You'll understand, "Oh yeah, God told us that famine, pestilence, terrible earthquakes, inflation and a push for a one-world monetary, religious and government system would happen, and all of that IS happening."
      But most of all, you'll realize, "Oh yeah, Jesus already atoned for all of my sins on my behalf through His death, burial and bodily resurrection. By my trusting in Him for the salvation of my soul, He also promised to come back for those who belong to Him before the worst of the worst happens."
      If you belong to Jesus, everything happening becomes understandable and less frightening.
      Nothing wrong with letting Kirby put a smile on your face though :)

      I guess everyone has their different ideas on value of games but for me personally a 10 hour game for 60 dollars has got to be an incredible experience to be worth it to me. And I don't think a super easy platformer is really going to be an incredible experience but maybe I'm wrong.

      @joshernsteen2066 2 года назад

      There is blue coins located in areas where you might not think to look, even in the main areas of the game. I did not play the game myself, it is only based on the information from the game found in interviews with the company talking about it. There was definitely mention of them saying that even though a player thinks that they have 100% of the blue coins in a stage, they might possibly have missed one in plain site. I was thinking the exact same thing prior to me finding out all of the information about the game from the interviews that I managed to dig up with them talking about the game. I think that maybe the way later one of them talking about the credits of the game finally made me want to buy the game. It definitely caught my attention, that was for sure. Everything that they described in their interviews matches the game down to a T as well. Playing the game side by side with the interviews present, including the interview about Kirby 64 which they also said to possibly save for the future as well for I believe that it explains the car stage and cone stage idea, might make playing the game more interesting and possibly easier to play.

      Just warning you in advance, any of their interviews will just make time flow by so fast that you are going to have watch the clock if you are planning go anywhere. Just the way that they talk about the content will want to draw you in, even if you are not fully interested in the concept that they talking about.

    Visually - fantatsic, its very cute and the love the power ups.
    Gameplay - its good. Its repetitive, but you can mix up the power ups to change up your appraoch regularly.
    Difficulty - Low. Even on normal mode, its dead easy. There is an aftergame mode which is harder than the main game but comparatively to other series like Mario or Zelda etc. Its still an easy.
    Replayability - the collect-a-thon aspects of the game will create lots of replayability and I personally enjoyed it but once again its hardly difficult.
    Story - i quite enjoyed the story. Its pretty dark actually.

      @Dante93k 2 года назад +1

      Yes, it's really noticeable. Super Mario Odyssey also uses this one and many more tricks to keep 60 FPS.
      In Kirby, since the game is more linear, you'll often see the lower framerate elements way too close to your character.

    The "7 hours to finish the game" is honestly *underwhelming* for its asking price. Ehh.... In any case I don't buy Kirby games and only play them IF my brother (who is actually a Kirby fan) buys them himself (if he doesn't, then I don't care tbh). Although, I will say I like the "segmented-zones" approach (like *Mario 3D World)* as opposed to the *tedious* bigger worlds (like Mario Odyssey).
