I’m a veterinarian, not even a human doctor, and I would never ever ever have any social media open in the OR and if I see any staff in my OR checking their phone for more than a timer/alarm for meds, it is the only time I actually raise my voice…absolutely disgusting
My sister is a veterinary technician and she said she simply couldn’t believe this…well, there were a bunch of swear words she included but I’m not in any kinda medical industry and I can’t even believe the fact that this is actually reallllll! Scary and I hope people RESEARCH whomever they’re allowing to cut them open, while knocked out…and trusting that person to be PROFESSIONAL AND ETHICAL. i thank you for that because i've seen one too many videos taken by veterinarians while they're working. i get horrified thinking by some chance my animal babies could be in the care of one of them.
Infections can and do happen, but as someone who nearly died from sepsis and had an amputation due to a bone infection, my doctors know to do absolutely everything possible to decrease my chance of getting an infection and dying. I feel so bad for her and I hope she makes it through this with as few long term issues as possible
I received plastic surgery because I lost a lot of weight and had to get rid of the extra skin. I also did my chest and that was half because the weight loss destroyed it, and half because I’ve always wanted it done. I’m so happy with my surgeries. But I went to a surgeon that won many awards, great reviews, did lots of research, and make the right choice. Plastic surgery is great if done for the right reasons, but you have to do your research, know the potential risks (and weigh if you feel they’re worth it), make an educated choice- and don’t go to a surgeon with a tiktok.

You don't have to justify yourself. You wanted to get surgery, and you made an informed decision to go a speciafic doctor, you didn't cheap out and you're happy with the results. That's most people's experience with plastic surgery.
I mean removing excess skin isn't nearly as dangerous as many other surgeries. The biggest risk besides the physical aspect of being cut open is mental; once you start- and usually you would start with something not intensive like filler- you get addicted to "sculpting" yourself like an avatar. Addiction is no joke and I believe that is what's happening with the surgery craze

I ask, because over the last ~year and a half I gained ~80lbs after an injury turned my entire life on its head, and I'm now angling to lose it again - but I'm unsure how much I can really salvage my situation via just diet+activity.
Here's an important piece that you may be missing oompa: Notice all these post-op pics are only a few days after surgery. Their faces are incredibly swollen, which is typical and caused that stretched out look. Full recovery after this type of surgery takes more than 6 months. Other practices take after pics after the patient has fully recovered, so the swelling has gone down and they look more "normal".
I think people forget that faces are an area on the body that typically swell IMMENSELY after any form of light trauma, let alone getting your face sheared off and reattached higher into your hairline. There's for sure gonna be a ton of swelling, bruising, and some people may even experience a change in their skin texture due to blood pooling. The mistake is on the surgeon for claiming these are end "results", unless the intention was shock value and clicks.

The ear lobes pointing outwards is most likely due to the extreme face lifts -- face lifts are (from my knowledge, I'm not a professional or anything) achieved by takingaway skin around the ear/forhead/chin area and pulling the remaining skins' edge back, then closing up the wounds and allowing the skins to heal so the skin on your face becomes tighter. the extreme skin pulling causes these people to look like uncanny valley characters and sewing the skins back causing scrunching up around the ear area and the ear lobes to point outwards.

Matt without a doubt has had cosmetic surgery. You can tell without seeing a previous photo of him, there's something aesthetic about those surgeries that simply aren't natural to the human face, and when you've seen and studied faces enough (I'm an artist, not a psychopath) you can start to spot them almost instinctively
Ehh... Idk about that. That seems like confirmation bias. There are obviously traits some people have that are rare. And some of those are objectively used as a standard for beauty. For example in men, theres a thing called "hunter eyes" where their eyelids arent as apparent as with other people. Same thing with girls having "button noses". Just because something is uncommon doesnt mean its manufactured.

I just had my fifth hip surgery, very major multi-hour surgery and the first of two I have to have over the next 10 weeks. I spent a lot of time researching and talking to surgeons. If I found a video of my surgeon dancing around during my surgery or anyone else’s surgery, I’d be firing him on the spot and filing a complaint. I prefer to keep my life tyvm

It’s really suspicious how the only way to contact Dr Kim from his TikTok is the link in their bio. You don’t really get to see any proper credentials from him or if he’s even licensed. The whole thing seems underground and I’d hate to learn that a bunch of unsuspecting people chose to contact him thinking they’d get a professional face lift, only to see some guy without any proper equipment or hygienic mask and gloves etc. The saddest part is when they see the result they’ll probably feel too scared to complain, so it’ll be one of those things where they just go home and cry after looking in the mirror.
I've had some reconstructive surgeries after a house fire and they were really careful not to overdo it. But I do live in a country with decent healthcare so idk.
Every single one of the Dr Kim after photos gives me the same reaction I had when I saw those prisoner enemies from Silent Hill Downpour with the head gear/stitches that stretches their mouth and eyes to uncanny levels I am absolutely horrified

Even just getting the shape of your eyes changed can cause unbearable pain, but these people are having their entire face threaded literally like how you shape clothing. As well, having your skin stretch like this will absolutely cause issues like extreme sagging because your skin becomes weaker from being stretched too much and discolouration

These people most likely had seen before and after photos of this doctor’s work before their surgery, and chose him specifically for his dramatic surgeries. Their faces will relax quite a bit once their faces have had time to fully heal. But with this said, I do agree that it is too much IMO. Hopefully the patients are happy with the results because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.
Watch tuv’s recent video on this, he finds a lot of information on the actual surgeons doing this awful stuff. And none of it is a face filter, it’s all completely real.
there is a limit to these things that people keep passing. like, if you had broken your nose and decided you wanted to fix the shape, that’s understandable. breast reductions are understandable as well. they can be extremely heavy, to the point where they are causing physical issues such as severe back pain. but people who look fine who decide to inject their faces with all of these chemicals, or completely rework their faces, that’s just wild to me.
yeah had an aunt who needed a breast reduction bec she was unironically 5"4' and had TRIPLE Ds. she maybe weighed 150 soaking wet and i think most of that weight was her bewbs bec she was thin. She was in junior high when i was like 5 so i saw her suffering first hand. Shes doing a lot better now

I love the way i look and never plan to get plastic surgery. The only surgeries ive had were inner ear surgeries to replace a bone in my ear to help improve my hearing. The second one was actually successful btw!

This whole situation is so disturbing. I feel so bad for all the people that these surgeons have gotten to let them turn them into these uncanny beings because I very much believe that everyone is beautiful the way they are. As someone who had knee surgery to save my life as a kid and absolutely HATED the recovery, I couldn't imagine going through that voluntarily just to make myself a slightly taller dude.

The biggest red flag for me is the amount of makeup they have on in the videos. The whole procedure produces nightmare fuel most of the time, but the makeup (or filter) they add for the "after" shot is just bizarre. Makes me think that they can't do their job even poorly, so they hide their errors with makeup and filters.

Beyond purely aesthetic surgery plastic surgeons are super important. After catastrophic injury, or surgery where something has to be removed, or even maybe for gender affirming care-plastic surgeons do vital work.

All of these results are one week after surgery, when swelling is at it's worst. It takes up to a year for the face to fully settle after a facelift. These faces actually do look like every other facelift after so little time, in a couple of months they will look much more normal. It's weird that this is what they're advertising because it is shocking but it's part of the process of a facelift so don't worry about these people, they'll look much better in no time.
Now I understand the significant ethical lines that some plastic surgeons are crossing using social media. It's scary to think about the consequences of this disturbing trend.

The ear lobes pointing outwards is most likely due to the extreme face lifts -- face lifts are (from my knowledge, I'm not a professional or anything) achieved by takingaway skin around the ear/forhead/chin area and pulling the remaining skins' edge back, then closing up the wounds and allowing the skins to heal so the skin on your face becomes tighter. the extreme skin pulling causes these people to look like uncanny valley characters and sewing the skins back causing scrunching up around the ear area and the ear lobes to point outwards.

@@Mc_Gaming_Genshinit’s all fun and games now, but as someone who grew up this same way and regrets it after beginning my journey with adulthood, eating habits are NO joke, even if it may all seem like “the same inside a stomach” or it will be “ gone when it leaves my body the same way”, but unhealthy eating eating habits will land you in a grave sooner and with more guarantee than lifelong drug abuse. Coming from someone with experience in both areas unfortunately.
What I think is extra awful (at least in the US) is that you tend to only have 2 years to take a surgeon to court for that stuff...
With how long some of the surgeries take to fully heal up well, thats not enough time. It needs to be bumped to 5 years.
Matt without a doubt has had cosmetic surgery. You can tell without seeing a previous photo of him, there's something aesthetic about those surgeries that simply aren't natural to the human face, and when you've seen and studied faces enough (I'm an artist, not a psychopath) you can start to spot them almost instinctively
Ehh... Idk about that. That seems like confirmation bias. There are obviously traits some people have that are rare. And some of those are objectively used as a standard for beauty. For example in men, theres a thing called "hunter eyes" where their eyelids arent as apparent as with other people. Same thing with girls having "button noses". Just because something is uncommon doesnt mean its manufactured.

I just had my fifth hip surgery, very major multi-hour surgery and the first of two I have to have over the next 10 weeks. I spent a lot of time researching and talking to surgeons. If I found a video of my surgeon dancing around during my surgery or anyone else’s surgery, I’d be firing him on the spot and filing a complaint. I prefer to keep my life tyvm

So many people (especially celebrities) have gotten plastic surgery and look absolutely horrendous afterward. I don’t know if they actually like the way they look, or they’re just in denial because they have to live with their decision. Either way, it’s sad. Stay natural, people, stay natural.

It’s really suspicious how the only way to contact Dr Kim from his TikTok is the link in their bio. You don’t really get to see any proper credentials from him or if he’s even licensed. The whole thing seems underground and I’d hate to learn that a bunch of unsuspecting people chose to contact him thinking they’d get a professional face lift, only to see some guy without any proper equipment or hygienic mask and gloves etc. The saddest part is when they see the result they’ll probably feel too scared to complain, so it’ll be one of those things where they just go home and cry after looking in the mirror.
I've had some reconstructive surgeries after a house fire and they were really careful not to overdo it. But I do live in a country with decent healthcare so idk.
Every single one of the Dr Kim after photos gives me the same reaction I had when I saw those prisoner enemies from Silent Hill Downpour with the head gear/stitches that stretches their mouth and eyes to uncanny levels

Even just getting the shape of your eyes changed can cause unbearable pain, but these people are having their entire face threaded literally like how you shape clothing. As well, having your skin stretch like this will absolutely cause issues like extreme sagging because your skin becomes weaker from being stretched too much and discolouration

These people most likely had seen before and after photos of this doctor’s work before their surgery, and chose him specifically for his dramatic surgeries. Their faces will relax quite a bit once their faces have had time to fully heal. But with this said, I do agree that it is too much IMO. Hopefully the patients are happy with the results because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.
I would ask these people to blink twice if they're being held as hostage but I think the surgery took care of that.

there is a limit to these things that people keep passing. like, if you had broken your nose and decided you wanted to fix the shape, that’s understandable. breast reductions are understandable as well. they can be extremely heavy, to the point where they are causing physical issues such as severe back pain. but people who look fine who decide to inject their faces with all of these chemicals, or completely rework their faces, that’s just wild to me.
yeah had an aunt who needed a breast reduction bec she was unironically 5"4' and had TRIPLE Ds. she maybe weighed 150 soaking wet and i think most of that weight was her bewbs bec she was thin. She was in junior high when i was like 5 so i saw her suffering first hand. Shes doing a lot better now
Are you in the US? I guess bra sizes must work differently there because nothing D is particularly large here in the U.K. I had a friend in school who was on the waitlist for a reduction, when we were 15 she was already wearing an H cup.
@@trala8911 I would assume they are American, I'm American and the numbers they are saying are not really that big a deal. Granted DDD is I believe an F in the UK, but DDD isn't really that huge. Some people choose to, but there's nothing extreme about being 5'4" and DDD (especially if you're 150 which is over weight for 5'4")... so....
I love the way i look and never plan to get plastic surgery. The only surgeries ive had were inner ear surgeries to replace a bone in my ear to help improve my hearing. The second one was actually successful btw!

The biggest red flag for me is the amount of makeup they have on in the videos. The whole procedure produces nightmare fuel most of the time, but the makeup (or filter) they add for the "after" shot is just bizarre. Makes me think that they can't do their job even poorly, so they hide their errors with makeup and filters.

Beyond purely aesthetic surgery plastic surgeons are super important. After catastrophic injury, or surgery where something has to be removed, or even maybe for gender affirming care-plastic surgeons do vital work.
Thank you for being one of the few people mentioning this in the comments! Plastic/reconstructive surgeons genuinely do help more people than a lot of folks realize.
p.s. (As a trans person, it's nice to see someone bring up gender affirming care so casually. Makes me feel like it's becoming more accepted by the world at large.)

All of these results are one week after surgery, when swelling is at it's worst. It takes up to a year for the face to fully settle after a facelift. These faces actually do look like every other facelift after so little time, in a couple of months they will look much more normal. It's weird that this is what they're advertising because it is shocking but it's part of the process of a facelift so don't worry about these people, they'll look much better in no time.
The worst part about this is that the "patients" actually consent to having this done to them.
Don't get plastic surgery just because you're insecure. Everybody is beautiful in their own way!
