I have watched your video on tiktok, I am in interested in applying for vocational course to finland, when is the application closing sir or when is it starting sir.
Thank you for doing this video. This is really helpful. I have a friend of mine that lives in Ghana but my question is them getting help with tuition and I guess you know with the whole thing getting there will Finland help them financially to get there if they want to get into their work study program.
Information about the vocational study program entry admissions is available from the educational institutions own websites. Information about immigration rules and Residence Permit requirements and application process is available from the Finnish Immigration Service website. They are the Finnish national agency processing all immigration permit applications.
Good day Wakawaka doctor, pls which of the package ll u advice a single mother of three kids to take and she have Bsc in sociology, diploma in accounting and have baking skills certificate. Thank you
Haaa my husband has been applying for jobs in Finland but no positive response yet, he is an IT specialist with over 7 to 8 years experience. I wish you can just help with a guide
So how is the job market at the moment? Well if you look right now, it is not looking good. Unemployment is growing fast and the government is planning to enact quite hard austerity measures. Also the government is having a process to change the immigration laws. If the bills go through then permanent residence would be achieved after 5 years and residence after 8 years and completing a language and a citizenship test.
Please what is the name of that institution that he just talked about because I didn't hear any name of institution please so will like to know the name of the institution
Hello wakawaka Dr. Thank you for always coming through for us. What's the acceptance rate of the visa approval with aurora consult doing it to Finland with my spouse.
Just remember one thing when you come here, it is not us that should adapt to your culture so it is you that need to adapt to ours. We might be quiet but the anger do grow inside us, we might not show it but your time here will be lonely, we are probably interested in your culture but would you ask a stranger about their culture or is it a thing you ask a friend? I myself have good and bad experiences, in cities more bad and in rural areas more good. In schools foreign people usually group up together never even trying to make contact because they feel "safe" among the other foreigners so avoid that "trap"(foreign students also have the trips together so they sort of become their own group when spending most time together). Then ask if you don't understand something, like one African guy in school asked me why I was angry at him. So I answered that its not ok to follow women from the other side of the road to their door, like ask her in school then but never intrude on a person privacy like trying to figure out where they live. He asked if she was my gf and I said yes, so then he told me sorry but It wasn't my privacy that he intruded on so I told him to say sorry to her. He was a kind person so there was no creepy stuff but he got the reputation fast because you do not intrude on someones privacy, like I never knew where my gf lived because I lived closer to the school so she never invited me there and later we moved together so not even I as the boyfriend knew. My point is that if you don't have to intrude then don't intrude on the other ones privacy, when you are friends its another thing and then at most they look at you and say "I wanted to watch movie and sleep today", like only annoyed that they couldn't be lazy. Same comes with contact, some don't mind you coming too close but most will give you the strange look just for standing too close in the line in a store. I almost hit a older Asian woman once because she was like 1 cm from me and every time she moved we touched, I know I could have told her to back off but I was already so angry for her coming that close without a good reason to be that close. 1m away is okay 2m better, no one will try to get in front of you because those that don't respect the line over her gets everyone's "stare of evil" and people get very hostile. Then don't hold up people without a very good reason, like the cashier will not give you cheaper stuff or take more from you and if a mistake is made you go to the customer service(a fight almost started once because a foreign man tried to argue with the cashier, while she said "you need to contact the customer service" because we do not bargain here, we pay what the sign says except if its 2 persons making a deal then we do bargain but not in stores). If you want to get to know someone then don't be clingy, don't give up because it might be that you need to say good morning/goodbye to a person for a month or a year before you end up in a situation where you have a conversation. You might be able to speed it up by needing their help, like very few of us can resist helping if we have the time and you haven't done anything wrong against us(like even if you know the location of the library you can ask them if they could help you find it, except if they know that you know then they think you are hitting on them or trying to force yourself upon em). The mistake most foreigners I have met do is that they wait for us to make contact but we again have no problem with not knowing everyone, like we can be 10 persons in a room with nothing to do and still sit quiet(elderly people usually likes to talk so if they give you the eye contact for longer than "a mistake" it means they would love to exchange a few words, you can also just put a feeler out there and state something out loud if it fits the situation seeing if someone was interested in responding). Almost the worst experience was when I met a teacher from USA and the first thing he did was hug me, like I twitch still today when thinking about it even if he did it out of happiness for arriving here. Then it was "blablablablablablablablablablablablabla... blalbalblablablalblblalblab" from the first second so I almost wanted to find a hole to hide in, like it triggered the flee reaction in me because I did not know him even. We are not all the same and usually after a certain amount of alcohol its easier to get first contact if we have seen you before, else you become the creep that sneaks around the drinking hole searching for victims. Many of us has a little xenophobe in us so don't trigger it that's probably the best advice I can give you, like even I that have a very easy time to speak with anyone have that little xenophobe in me and when its triggered I will avoid you like the plague. Like this African girl that "surprise" met me on the train and started talking about us going on a date among everyone else, it took 2 years before we started chatting again on the phone and that was only because she asked how I am doing now. Or the guy at work that had to touch my back every time we talked, I almost injured him because he triggered me every time he crossed my personal space and he probably thought we were friends or something because I am open so I talk with everyone. Just for comparison, in the sauna when its full I don't even care that we are naked and our body's touch because "if its full then its full" same in a nightclub when you are on the dance floor "if its full then its full" like when there is no other option than us being close. So we can share our space with others, we just don't like to do it if there is free space still left. I am just one person and there is probably 5.5m views on the matter but hope it sort of makes you understand that even if we both are humans we are different.
@@Nubianbeautyy I wrote it because I know those that came here to study that then have complained because they never got to know anyone else than the other foreign students. I also know we had a program that those of us that wanted to "help" the foreign students to sort of get to know "our world", get them out there because many just then get stuck and have a hard time because they feel like an outsider around the clock. Like its not easy to go to another country to study.
@@Nubianbeautyy When the long dark black days starts and you are not used to it, then it can make you depressed if you are already down because of feeling outside(if there is early snow then the winter not so black). I do love winters but still that black and wet time gets to me even after 40+ years, for me it then gets better when the rain turns to snow and the water freezes so that I can fish.
There is very little useful that you can buy in such process. If you want to work in Finland, you need to find a job in Finland, which will give you sufficient income to support yourself. So basically you need a work contract and details of the job. With that information, and with the supposed from your future employer, you can apply for a residence permission for work from the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri). You can find information about the application process from their website.
Hi Doc, great stuff as always. Please is it compulsory to go in through the study route? I’d prefer to just get there and start working . Secondly , do the schools in Finland take a merged ssce results ? Or it has to be in one sitting ?
Of course the study route is not the only one. But when taking the job route, you need to find a job first. If you find one, then you can apply for the residence permit. If you have a higher education and working experience then I would suggest you to look, for example, the career pages of the top 20 Finnish companies and see if there is something that catches your interest.
@Erinleviii no problem 😊 I just want to come to these videos and give realistic, not too positive or too dark, but realistic comments about the situation here.
@@Valokaari oh, you're in Finland! I envy you. Should have migrated when it was much easier and the Nigerian naira wasn't so weak. Well, better late than never. I'm leaning towards Finland because other countries in the UK, America...etc are just too expensive. I don't see why I should get a loan to leave and spend years servicing that loan all in the name of England, Scotland... I'm really grateful for your input. I just need to verify if they take two-sittings for ssce results
