This is by far my favorite Track of the Movie, and my favorite song from any Villain. Not only is it a FANTASTIC Final Song to end out the Movie, and a Perfect track for Seymour and Audrey II's bout, but it also explains Audrey II's potential threat level, and shows how genuinely dangerous the Plant will be, and what Seymours nuturing has done to power this Plant Based Alien. Regardless of whether or not either Audrey II or Seymour win, this Track is a Perfect Capstone to end out on. So much so, It has 3 Different Versions of the Track, an OST version, and 2 Different Film Versions!
Maybe I gave to this phrase a lot of thinking, but I love when she says "keep the thing, keep the IT, keep the creature, they don't mean shit". You know the level of power that It has? He's almost undefeatable, to beat It you gotta beat the fear inside yourself, one of the most natural feelings of the human mind. And with Audrey II there's something similar, but instead of fear you have to deal with greed, giving up to your dreamsans fantasies, cause it's what Audrey provides. Also, It is as old as the universe, let that concept sink in.
Is it just me, or does the actor playing Audrey the killer plant on this recording sound like he would have made a perfect Oogi Boogi in Nightmare Before Christmas? He sounds so similar to the voice actor for that character it's uncanny.
Seymour: Every household in America? Thousands of you eating... that's what you had in mind all along, isn't it? Audrey II: No shit, Sherlock. Seymour: We're not talking about one hungry plant here, we're talking about world conquest. Audrey II: And I want to thank you. Seymour: You're not gonna get away with this. Your kind never does! Audrey II: [laughes wildly at Seymour] Seymour: I don't care what it takes. Only one of us gets out of here alive!
My favorite part is right after that where Audrey II starts goading Seymour into a fight, you see for the first time in the movie that Seymour has had enough. You see actual rage in his eyes at being pushed around by Audrey II
The original DVD came with a music-only track, so that made these easy to just rip and inert dialogue as needed for context. The Director’s Cut version is where I had to work some magic and do my best. Thanks for listening!
(TV Version) Seymour: Every household in America. Thousands of you eating. That's what you had in mind all along, isn't it? Audrey II: No slop, Sherlock.
Audrey II is not an alien (you think he tells the truth?), he's a demon. I don't exactly believe in demons myself, but that's what the character is--he is deeply familiar with American pop culture, and his behavior does not quite make sense as that of an extraterrestrial invader. His behavior makes a lot more sense if we assume his central goal is not blood, reproductive opportunities, or secular power but rather Seymour's soul--he goes about seducing his victim to evil is a very efficient, very calculated way. And he wins. At least he wins in the play. Maybe he also wins in the movie. After all, Seymour, as friendly and sweet as he remains, finishes the story as the beneficiary of two murders. So the plant is a strange being with quasi-magical powers who uses those powers to seduce a man to evil. The word for that is demon.
Could you please consider making an uncompressed download of this music? A little while ago I used a program to make instrumentals of some of the music, but now I've found a much better program and plan to redo the ones I did and do the rest of them I didn't. It makes it much easier for the program to do it when it is higher quality as well, so I would really appreciate it.
Replay Media Catcher not only allows you to record videos, it allows you to convert them into HQ audio tracks while keeping the original video as well. It what I use when I need to get my hands on music I am unable to find (and not for lack of hunting, either).

Never noticed how much the instruments sound like a video game Boss Fight... Perfect for the scene!
Man, now I wish this scene (as well as the music) was an actual video game boss fight. That'd be so cool! 😭
Nominated for best song at the Oscars can't understand why it didn't win it's a classic.

I read somewhere the actor for the Oogi Boogi did the voice for a little shop of horrors play. Him and Levi Stubbs do kind of sound similar in ways.

I swear this song plays if Big Mama Eternal was in the final battle against the heaters.
This is incredible! How were you able to isolate the dialogue so amazingly?

This is really good however I do wish that some of the Seymour’s dialogue was it and Audrey twos laugh before she pinne Seymour to the wall
Cool

You know since twoey is an alien, what if he (she? It?) has an intellect higher than humans?
Imagine a plant having an IQ over 2000
@@aidencarey1551 then again, this is a plant with vocal cords who can speak fluent english and master singing skills so
