- The 80s and 90s bred some of the most amazing supercars. If you’re a car enthusiast, the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach, and Lamborghini Diablo sound familiar and probably trigger some daydreams. But what about the 90s supercars nobody talks about? In this video, we’ll look at 3 weird supercars you probably have never heard of. Some of them were featured in Gran Turismo and Top Gear, and some have a top speed over 200 mph. Belonging at events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Vector W8, Cizeta-Moroder V16T, and the Venturi 400 GT/Trophy are truly rare supercars that deserve to have their stories told.

And thanks to Gran Turismo series, we will never forget these cars.
Truth!
Giorgio Moroder is the guy that speaks in the meme template "My name is Giovanni Giorgio..."
Not only he produced multiple music masterpieces and he influenced Disco but he was also involved in the making of a beautiful car and a widespread meme.
And he is still active at the time of writing this (2023) at 83 years old. What an absolute CHAD.
Imagine if the Vector was ready in the mid-80's. Perfect car for Top Gun fans.
Seems like what they were going for, a fighter jet for the street! Thanks for watching!
The Venturi 400GT is actually an amazing looking car. Wish there were even more available and came to the states
Agreed! It really does have some nice styling.
@@themotorsportstory I’d but the Venturi 400GT over any Ferrari of the same vintage
is the 400GT allowed to go in the states ?
@@sonora_n52 Yes. There was one that recently sold on Bring a Trailer for around $140k
The Vector W8 was one of the archetypical poster cars of the 90s. Right up there with the Testarossa and the Countach! I recognized that as soon as I saw it!
10/10 man your channel is awesome!
I absolutely agree!
Appreciate that a lot, thank you!
Venturi 400 is such a awesome looking car. It sits between outrageous supercar and sportscarfor the single thrillseeker.
Incredibly high quality, underrated channel.
I remember these cars, fun 😂.
I really appreciate that, thanks for watching!
The Vector was hardly unknown. When Car & Driver did an issue about supercars in the early 1990s that cost over $200K, they probably were hoping fans didn't notice the Vector's absence. Nope. Fans angrily flooded their mailbox, demanding to know why their favorite was excluded. I give C&D credit for having the guts to print so many of the embarrassing letters in their magazine. It was all the same: "HOW can you talk about super cars and leave out the Vector!?"
The Cizeta fascinated me. It appeared in a couple of the car magazines that I bought at that time.
Not too much else like it, that's for sure!
Somehow an engine with 64 valves made of parts from 2 Lamborghini engines sounds more reliable than a 400 horsepower PRV
Your content is great! Keep going man 🔥
Thanks so much!
Hey! As your channel grows and reaching out to people around the world, you should throw some metric information about the stats you are talking about too next to what you are used to! Just a hint :) Thanks for awesome videos.
That's a great idea! Thanks very much for the feedback and for watching!
The P.R.V. V6 which was also used in DELOREAN DMC-12 back in the 80s (1981) ......
Yes! More info! Great story 👏
Glad you enjoyed!
Hi it's my second time watching this channel and i would just mention something is that the Venturi 400 is very known in the french car community (im french) i appreciate to see it in this video
I think it's a great car! Not too many people know about it here in America.
Yes separate videos!
need more wector vidios, brings back my GT2 memories
Those were the days!
Gran Turismo 2 flashback. 😉
WAS THE NEWER VECTOR THAT YOU SHOWED RUNNING MK4 SUPRA HEADLIGHTS?
Well your answer is yes those are toyota supra headlights 😮😮.
I love the Venturi 400GT
Woahhh brahhhh the vector is such a babe magnet brah!
Haha I'm sure people who bought them thought that back then!
I loved Vector back in GT2. I wish they were still around today because their cars were absolutely NUTS.
I'd also absolutely buy a Venturi 400 GT.
Me too! The 400 GT has to be my favorite of this group of 3.
Bro the video's you put in the channel is amazing
I try to make my channel like your 😉
Thank you, I appreciate that!
@@themotorsportstory bro may i ask something if you can help me ?
How to be confident when i talk cause i always get nervous when recording
Please help me I'll appreciate it ❤️
@@Speedy.wheels I think that's something that everyone has trouble with whether they show it or not. I would say just practice by yourself and don't overthink it. Try to sound as excited as you can about what you're talking about; that can make you sound more confident. You can record yourself saying the same things multiple times and choose the best recording. Also write out a script of what you want to say ahead of time so you aren't struggling to find words.
@@themotorsportstory thanks for the advice I'll try to talk with the mic more , and about the script i have but because my English not real good (it's my thread language) so i struggle with it a bit
Overall i appreciate your help man ❤️
Please do
A video on Zender !
You got to be kidding that all of these cars looked like kit cars except they are real as i never seen before in my life.
They are pretty crazy looking!
Mu favorite Vector W8...
I really luke all of thwm but my favourite ever since i was a kid was the W8
BAT had a blue 400 like 2 years ago. $150k I believe. Pretty affordable actually
Venturi really named their electric car
Fetish
🤣 Just looked it up. It's rather strange looking isn't it?
I'm lucky enough to know these cars from Playing cards 😀
VENTURI 400 FIRE!!!!
The 400 LM series is the genesis of what turned into Blancpain/GTWS
Not sure why you didn't mentioned that :P
I actually didn't know that, so thanks for sharing!
Ces autos sont des classiques, connus. C'est clair que les gens nés après 1980 ne peuvent pas connaître.
Venturi is a better nsx. The nsx tries to be a highway car, but is never going to be, which caused the mk2 electric abomination. It's an inverted corvette (like the mclaren mp4-12c but not as bad)
When Agassi still had hair
I knew of all three
I remember these, speak for yourself! Lol…. I’ll have the Vector, please.
I think I'd take the Venturi if I had to pick one, but really all three would be crazy to own!
@The Motorsport Story thing is. I thought the standard def versions of some cars in gt5 and stuff didn't look half bad and just missed the nice interior view. Mostly because of the sharp angles these cars have in styling and body shape. It's kinda nice tbh. I was kinda sad they didn't do the samething in the new GT and just slowly replaced them over time.
👍#99
So the second car was basically “my name is Giovanni Giorgio😂
Giovanni Giorgio?
I think everyone calles him Giorgio.
🤣A fantastic tune and an even better meme! Love to see the music enthusiasts coming out in the comments.
expected Isdera Moroder....
Im pissed that these things werent in FORZA
Haha, yeah you have to go back to the earlier Gran Turismos to enjoy them!
@@themotorsportstory the Cizetta is the only one still in the franchise
We had a W8 and it was a CRAP car......The Venturi was the best out of these 3...
Must have been an interesting time! I've heard they were quite unreliable unfortunately.
