I love the teacup. I host a tea party every year for my friends. I plan on making a couple of these for door prizes. Thanks for helping me out. You're great and fun to learn from. Karen
Yep 👍🏽 yep this look like complicated but beautiful. Yes I will give it a try. Wish me luck. Thanks for all the hints on the glue to us. Yours came out 😊
Great job Stef!! I am glad you showed us how to make these and how long it takes to dry! Thanks for sticking with it! And those munchkins and straw flowers are adorable!!!!!
I have wanted to do this for a couple years now. It was good to hear the difficulty you experienced. It gives me a better handle on the process when I do it. Very pretty💗
Using a little (or a lot) of hot glue for instant hold along with your permanent adhesive (E6000, liquid nail, etc.). This method always works for me, great work!
Fantastic tutorial Mrs Stephanie! I really appreciate your realness as you navigate a delightful idea and all the Dynamics of making it come to fruition! Haven't tried it yet however I am hoping as I'm married to a fisherman and motorcycle racer who use sinker weights and wheel weights that are flat to sneak some of those and to try those instead of rocks because you might need less of them maybe just even one of the right poundage :-) in the bottom of your cup. I'll let y`all know how it goes! 😇
Have you ever tried the type of super glue that has an instant set accelerator? I got it from Amazon and the stuff is awesome. I am going to try this week to see how it works. I also am going to secure the saucer to a white snack plate that is a tad larger to give better stability.
I havent before fingers crossed you have an easier time with this project than I did, it's still holding strong to this day but whoo boy it was a process lol
@@OhYoureLovely so it did not work but I had no issues with plain old hot glue and I knocked out eight of them pretty quickly. The hard part for me is definitely getting the right fork or spoon and bending it without snapping it. They did turn out beautiful and I'm super excited to make them for friends for gifts and events. I enjoyed your tutorial very much so thank you.
New to your channel. This is my first time seeing a video like this (a floating cup). Where have I been? I am looking forward to watching your upcoming video. Thanks for sharing.
Hey will it be ok if I can use duct tape the sticky tape to on the cup on because I noticed that the duck masking tape is not strong enough or is frog tape better to use ?
Thanks Stef I have been trying to make one for about two months I wasn’t able to so I put it aside I will try it again. O I like your glue gun where did you got it from.

Yes that is a great tip!
I love this one! Really cute!!!☕️♥️👏
Hi Stef, all good glue ideas. I’ve wrapped color duck tape around the fork. The glue or hot glue adheres to the duck tape. ❤️
Great tip!
Love it! One thing though, I would have taken that sticker off. Take a look.
I like diying using the E6000 glue it doesn't take as long to dry. And its very very durable
Sadly when I tried with e6000 the glue peeled right up off the plate
❤🎉 you rock's i hope to see more simple diy video soon do you have any Easy one's I can't wait to try to make me one thank you
This was pretty I want to try it sometime. It looks so cool floating

So glad to have you watching! I hope you enjoy more of the tutorials.
Spoons have been seen on the floating teacups. It makes sense, why would you use a fork? Anyhow, thank you for sharing.
The fork being flat makes it easier to glue versus the rounded base of the spoon
I love this! Thank you for your help!
You are so welcome!
Love it
LIKE THE FLOATING CREAMER

I havent ever tried with tape so I dont know how well or long it would hold up. Sorry I cant be of more help!
Amazing
I would love to try this but what kind of cups do you use? Where do you buy them?
I used teacups and saucers. I find them at thrift stores or at garage sales
What is the brand of your glue gun?
It's a ryobi power glue gun
Thanks Stef I have been trying to make one for about two months I wasn’t able to so I put it aside I will try it again. O I like your glue gun where did you got it from.
I got mine from Home Depot, you do have to buy the battery separately. I love it and have been using it daily for about 2 years now
How did you get the fork bent?
I just bent it with my hands but you could also use a needle nose pliers to help bend it.
from what Ive been watching Gorilla glue (activated by water) works very well to hold.
Thank you very much🙏🌹💐
On my todo list 🙆🏽♀️
Me too!!
use E-6000...works great
I didnt have the best of luck with the E6000 for this project unfortunately
i was skipping through, landed on 9:12, i was going to wait til the end of the vid but you are getting that like from me right now hahah xD legend x
oh im about to start a flower business, im glad i ran across you! hey, can i ask what brand etc that fake? moss is?
I get my moss from all sorts of places (hobby lobby, dollar store, walmart, amazon etc)
Wont a gluegun work better?
I wanted to try a few different ways that I had seen others do. But yes hot glue at least for me worked the easiest and has held up really well
can you use gorilla glue
You can definitely try!
