You are simply fabulous as well as helpful and adorable! Just bought a bunch of sola wood flowers and can't wait to dive in and create; thanks for your helpful tutorials.
Oh thank you! I am glad you find the tutorials helpful
Glycerin is a moisturizer and will cause the flowers to relax and curl
Do you have any idea how many flowers this will coat now that you may have been using it for a while? I'm curious how many cans I'll need. Love your tutorials!
What was the name again of what you ate using
Hi, I am unable to find this particular design masters spray anywhere. Can you please recommend an alternative? Thank you!
Yes! We did a follow up product testing because there are so many inventory issues. Here is another product that works very well: ruclips.net/video/822t4LgZnZo/видео.html
I love your flowers! I have a friend with several designs of the luxe flowers and we are doing her wedding in all Natural white flowers. I plan to use the design master or the matte mod podge spray and dip them after they dry in just glycerine water. Do you have any videos using the natural wood without color dying and do you recommend a 6 to 1 ratio on the flowers without dyeing? Do you think spraying glycerin or dipping is best or do you have a preference?
I personally leave the raw flowers completely natural and dont add glycerin or any sort of spray on them as they keep their shape naturally, the shape changes when water is introduced to the flowers and reactivates the wood to be shaped again.
@@OhYoureLovely thank you for your response do you feel like if you dip them it protects them from discoloration later on ?
@@marcellajones7638 I have never tested out a finishing spray to keep the flowers the natural color. Over time the natural flowers do tend to get a bit more cream from exposure to the sun. It is typically a very long gradual process of the natural sola wood changing color.
Since dip dyeing delicate-curled flowers leaves them prone to uncurling, would spray painting such flowers leave them with less of a chance of uncurling?
You can spray paint them as well the spray paint does leave them a bit more brittle but will help keep the flowers from uncurling most of the time.
If using Krylon, what would be equivalent to the spray you are using?
I havent tried Krylon to help keep the flowers shape so I dont have a recommendation at this time
Hi, are the flowers still soft? What about using hairspray then dipping with a glycerin mix?
I found the hairspray didnt hold the shape as well it did ok but Design Masters did better. they are a little bit harder than I would like so I am testing a few more ideas out for the perfect combo.
@@OhYoureLovely THis is not avallable anywhere ....any suggestions..could not find on Amazon
@@TheJgatlin1 I’ve also found it at Michael’s craft store
@@OhYoureLovely thanks so much
Is there a way to shape/curl them again after dyeing them?
You can sometimes recurl them using some water and something like a tooth pick to help curl them back to place.
Do you have any alternative for the spray? I am no where near the US :(
You can try hairspray. I am going to be testing out another finishing spray soon as an alternative
Will look forward to your video :( thank you
What brand dye or paint do you use.
I typically use craft acrylic paint
Hey friend ... so I'm new like completely new !!!! And I love your videos but I needed more help !!!!!! Lol your videos have helped me out a million .... but I'm making my wedding bouquet..and I was read that it was stain people dresses ... how can I stop that ... I was thinking this spray but I needed more help friend.... flower 9/11
I havent had the issue of the flowers bleeding the dye (even with glycerin on them) however preserved filler like eucalyptus I have seen weep and it will stain the dye they use for that filler.
What do u do if u have flowers straighten out???
Depending on the flower and how much it uncurled you can try and reshape the flower with water and curling the flowers back in shape. You can also trim petals like shown in this tutorial at the 3:05 minute mark ruclips.net/video/1d_4WU_rJEs/видео.html
Can u airbrush them?
You should be able to.
So basically you need some waterproof spray maybe scotch guard
Maybe! Another idea to experiment with
