By chance do you know what kind of led strip tape is in your drum cage? I have been looking for something that can be controlled by dmx like that to use at my church.
I just make sure it has a strong signal coming from my compressor so it can track the best. I've heard of people messing with the trim pot inside, but luckily I haven't had to do that. Hope this helps!

The key is in the bass drum. Sync the bass drum up with the bassist and it'll all fall into place.
