A nice touch was seeing the dramas left in. With the fish hung up on the other rod, presumably that line had pulled tight into weed stopping it coming in. Had that happen before myself, and reassuring to see it even happens to the pros. Be great to see things like this discussed on the vids more, a bit like the fish in weed. There probably some of the best things we can learn from the pro's, to help with converting takes and fish safety. Plus makes us feel better about our own blunders!
Just getting back into carp fishing after a few years out and what a cracking video this is from Darrel and the Korda team! Absolutely cracking video, taken a lot away from it 👍🏻
After carp fishing for 20 years now I got caught up in a rig battle in my own head for years finally told myself too stop trying all the latest nee rigs and just sticking with 2-3 for pretty much every situation the main emphasis being in hook sharpness and good knots
If the phrase "same shit, different day" applied to anything, it would be these new Korda videos. I'd rather watch an old one from three years ago. But, in fairness, hardly anyone is making decent carp videos anyway.
Nice video but yet again just being able to wander around the lake and pick and choose whichever swim has showing fish in it is a luxury 90% of us will never have.
Darrell The Carp Dominator peck great vid just bought some of the tackle Ur using so great get to see how to get the best SO 2 rods tubing Heli kit isatonic goo IB 15MM all I need now is to feel the Donk that's what's important I'll start catching more ROLL ON 2022🎣🎣Thankyou Darrell love Ur Technical parts
Loving the vids guys had some good tips from them...however due to health reasons and reduced hours at work I have taken up carp fishing I am relatively new to it I had my first trip last June an I was a shambles 😂😂 I don't seem to be able to get my bivvy and peg layout right any tips or advice would be very nice and any advice on saving money on purchases too if that's ok reduced hours = reduced pennies lol thanks in advance fellas stay safe
Put ya back bivvy peg in first then go from there mate. Ya can tighten them al up once ya done ya side’s n front . But back peg first . I have Nash titan t1 and t2 and works a treat foe me.
Sweetcorn best bait when ya can use it and not. Casting distance. Suppose ya could use plastic corn. Don’t believe the hype i did cost me a fortune in baits. I use baitworks Atlantic heat all year round
Enjoyed the video Darrel! Nice how you show your set-up of the naked chod presentation. I’ve got one question: what lead and how many ounce leads do you recommend when fishing a chod?
Gotta ask... How on earth did you legally fly/get the drone shot for one of the opening shots? Considering it's illegal as with Heathrow's flight paths being directly through Wraysbury??
I’m still struggling to understand the benefits of using a stiff hinge that short. Wouldn’t a Ronnie rig be just as effective at that length popped up ?
The answer is NONE, not even syndicates . im a syndicate member on the lake darrell is fishing in the video and i can tell you that lake is NEVER like that , it was closed for a week for him to fish in the change over period we have for the new season each year. we dont allow drones either. i would imagine many people would be assuming that its a runs water after watching this too, but i can confirm that also isnt true.
Well given the fact that so many carp boys are scared of a bit of rain and cold I think plenty at this time of the year. In the summer no chance obviously...
I can't help thinking that releasing the lead every time you play a fish on a lake with a big head of carp or more likely bream is : (a) Going to be very expensive, a 3oz Korda lead is £2 a pop. (b) not good for the fishery with the quantity of leads being left on the lake bed. I appreciate that a low stocked, weedy lakes such as those found in the Colne valley are perfect for such a set up. However the vast majority of anglers watching this video will not be fishing such waters. These set ups are a great innovation but I am not sure they are ideal for a lot of anglers.
@@chervilgoacher4499 I was messing about, but yeah they look alright. Just taking the Micky out the tackle forms that push “spring, summer, winter bait” thing. Sure oil spreads better in summer ect but it’s not a deal breaker, carp are dustbins 👍
@@chervilgoacher4499 good vids mate, subbed!. Returning to uk carping after a 10+ year break. Tech has moved on massively but some things never change. Hopefully the buggers have not got smarter in this time 🙂
maybe it was better to fish across the road near the island there are stumps and the shallower part of the lake I think that night would be very productive ..but nice fishing hello
What I don't understand is why people including Korda themselves are using leadclips if Heli Safe is capable to drop the lead? I understand the concept of bolt effect that is achieved by leadclips but exactly the same can be achieved with helicopter rig by having your top bead all the way down. Can anyone shed some light to me??? To me it seems like heli is all you ever need be it gravel or weed.
I think all these different rigs components are designed to catch the angler , not fish. Basic course fishing rule of thumb is to use a weaker hook link than the mainline. Yet carpers flip that on its head , and use stronger end gear , than the mainline. If you snap , or tether a fish, then you always snap at the weak point . These crazy carp rigs snap behind the rig swivel leaving all that crap in the water or the fish . The zig rig is a good example of not needing heavy braid and all that unnecessary crap . Presentation seems to take priority over fish care . If fish care was priority then the weak point would be by the hook . These products are designed so the anglers loose components then buy more . All the under the illusion of fish care haha. If you're fishing using ridiculous end gear , then let's be honest, it's not for fish care . 15lb main, and a 12lb link is more than enough to land fish to 40lb . Snap at the hook , not behind the swivel lol. Dropping leads all the time ? Seriously? Good for the environment I suppose? It doesn't make you a better angler. If anything it gives a false sense of security. Look at the amount of rigs and leaders etc in trees . All I want to leave if u snag is a hook . I've still got the same leads I've had for the last 3 years. Running rigs , and weaker hooklinks is all you need lads . Dont get suckered in by sales pitches. Over kill
I didn't get past the over edited and loud Intro, I think these videos are more about the brand and the people, rather than fishing and tips, I much preferred the old Darrell on thinking tackle on yatley complex
@@Pumpkin-gk2oj just the truth, it's called constructive criticism, so hopefully the content of RUclips videos improve, to be honest I had completely forgotten I had ever started to watch the video.

Great vid Darrell, I always enjoy watching you fish. Will certainly take the tips to the bank with me. Keep up the good work 👍
Sunny meads my old favourite and I can tell you the long Sutton had been hanging around sunnymeads in the weeks before Darrells visit… great vid guys

Hi Darrell, great video. Do you ever use back leads to stop a catch tangling with your other lines?
Them diawa reels sound like they've got grit in them😲

Enjoyed the video Darrel! Nice how you show your set-up of the naked chod presentation. I’ve got one question: what lead and how many ounce leads do you recommend when fishing a chod?
8oz gripper
Thanks Robert, lead size dependant on the situation. I normally fish with 1.5 - 4oz depending on the range. 👍
Enjoyed that Darrell !! I'm just waiting for spring and looking forward to catching some Chunks myself !!
don't wait for spring, get out there now!
Popups last longer using just floss! Every man an his fish use screw bait now, that's a master class.......
Would love to get out again.
Hi Team Korda I have one question, where does Team Korda keep his pop ups
Wicked !
On the chod to swivel, rather than a single turn could you crimp instead?
Goood job !!!
Gotta ask... How on earth did you legally fly/get the drone shot for one of the opening shots? Considering it's illegal as with Heathrow's flight paths being directly through Wraysbury??
You ring the airport and tell them
bravooo!
Was the lake completely closed off just for the video?
I had a really similar lin from there years back the on same lake the one in my profile pic

Good to see even top professional anglers can get wiped out and in a big mess with their lines same as us mear mortals.
mega this 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wait, what!? You use kamakura wide gape x for your spinner, but you showed a clip of you sharpening it?? Somethings not right there is it?
