Kava does not belong to any group of people, just like corn or wheat or jalapenos or cannabis. We all share the bounty of plants on Earth, and with sacred plants like this one more people growing it only means more kava for all. You will be very glad some other kava fan is growing it when your kava gets wiped out by a disease, or fire, or wave. Then you can get cuttings and start again because we are all Kava Family, and we will share with you what you have shared with us.

It's a sacred plant to me as well. Got me to quit alchohol and other hard drugs and make high quality freinds. We have a handful of kava bars in Colorado. Its a really good social scene. No drama, no fights like the bar. Been drinking kava for about 5 years. We always drink kava together and give thanks to the islands and the aina.
