Came to the mod for Giles, stayed for Herbert. I didn't even see him Rearrange his DNA in my first bout with him, but I already fell in love with this fight. Saw it on my second, though. Also that is SUCH A COOL FUCKING MECHANIC. Taking the Variations present in lesser Frostbites and weaponizing it, to keep the fight unpredictable, needing you to shift your tactics on the fly... And the atmosphere of the fight, the detailed, gorgeous pixel art for the desolate wastes of the arena, as well as Herbert's own spritework, the second signature move's _horrifying_ animation, and the MUSIC, oh, I GOTTA compliment Millieamp on it when they post it... God I love this boss, this was an absolute delight to fight. This deserves to be in the game officially. You did an amazing job with it!
Herbert has a few, Antisanity. But the main two are these; 1 - Consume, which let's them _instantly kill_ the opposing party member, but only if they have Oil Slicked. A plethora of their moves apply it after attacking as well. On their own, that could make Herbert easily outsmarted by simple lane positioning. However, this becomes much more complicated when you consider 2 - Variation and Rearrange DNA, which let's them _reshuffle_ what passives Herbert has. It causes you to constantly shift your strategy, to ensure you lessen the damage these beasts can do. And it's very much fun for that.
