I agree one hundred percent with her statement about her making music that’s uniquely her from 2016 and onward. Sucker was her first album that I listened to completely and while I enjoyed it, it did feel like it was made to sound like the pop music on the radio. As if she forced herself (or was forced by someone else) to make something commercial. Everything after Sucker is iconic. Vroom Vroom, Number 1 Angel, Pop 2, Boys, Focus, GNO, and Charli (album) are all gifts to music. I became a casual fan of hers thanks to Superlove, Boom Clap, and Break the Rules. But it wasn’t until all her stuff from 2016+ that I started stanning.
I really vibe with Charli's energy. Wasn't that into her before her new album era, but now I've watched interviews and followed her IG I've really come around to her- she's really chill and doesn't come across disingenuous at all
