    Hi Bjorn , how long after repot til you apply fertilizer. I have gro power pellets, liquid gro gro, osmocote plus and fish fert. Do you start with organic after repot?
    Thanks

    Cool to see differences in climate, where I live in Sweden we still have a lot of snow. All i can do is hike around and look for good yamadori while not trying to run into the 15 moose that live around our property at winter. Great video as usual!

      I feel you! We had another blizzard last night 😂- but I’m lucky to winter all my trees in a cold room so we are well into repotting season since they get woken up sooner then the outside

    What a great Bonsai-garden! Here in old cold Finland we still have a thick layer of snow, so end of April will be my first replanting. Thank you for sharing your videos!

    Glad your Hinoki enjoyed this winter, just an hour and a half south and mine seem dead or defoliated for the most part. But then again I'm no bonsai master. That dip down to 5 deg from 60 took quite the toll here along with nowhere to hide them. I'll have to see to that.

    Thanks for the upload. Nice vid :D quick question: why do you at 2:24 rub the spagnum moss through the sieve? anyone?

    • @Chris-oq6kn
      @Chris-oq6kn Год назад +2

      U have to sieve it to make it smaller to make a nice ground covering. If u sieve some dried up moss into it together u get the spores and sphagnum to mix and get some moss to grow into the sphagnum. U can also cut the sphagnum if u dont have a sieve set

    • @FusioNNosferatu
      @FusioNNosferatu Год назад +1

      @@Chris-oq6knthanks for the great answer :D cab you then use it also as a top cover?

    • @Chris-oq6kn
      @Chris-oq6kn Год назад +2

      @@FusioNNosferatu yea thats what i meant . Its for top dressing. U have to get the sphagnum into a smaller size but not too small that it will fall through the pot. I usually do a bunch and keep it in a plastic container so its ready to go. Havent tried to get moss into it yet but ive seen thats how u can get moss to germinate with the sphagnum

    • @Candice.BonsaiScience
      @Candice.BonsaiScience Год назад +3

      Instead of a sieve (which tears my hands up and makes a mess of dust)- I instead just use a cheap 15$ coffee bean grinder. You can use it to grind your sphagnum and moss for top dressing.
