It’s fascinating how these salvages are done. Electric vehicles are the worst environmental disaster more than oil or gas.

I don't think any of the cars on this ship were EV's.
I like EVs but they are not going to be better for the environment. We have an endless supply of crude oil and it works just fine as a fuel

"most cars were stored in the ship". On a ship where else could they be stored? It wasn't stranded on a coral reef, it was a sand bar. The ship wasn't cut apart with a high speed cable, it was torn apart by a large anchor chair. And some of sections took months to get separated, not 12 hours. The sections of the ship were take to near New Oleans, not Italy, to be finally taken apart. But you did get the name of the ship correct, good job. Other than that, pretty much everything was wrong.

Hey dummies, this ship capsized because it was incorrectly ballasted, and they left a critical cargo door open after getting underway. The capsize had nothing to do with Electric Cars.

Be hilarious if insurance companies decide these EV's are too big a fire hazard to insure. See lots of vids of the BYD burning up, including other cars, garages, various things they are parked beside.
Not just BYD. All electric cars have done it. Mercedes Benz just burned down a house in Florida last week.
Man has never been able to leave a good thing alone. The 1960's and 70's were the best years for auto's ever, everything since then has been over kill. They say O new technology to get better gas mileage. I say bull with my 1959 Rambler station wagon I got 20 to 23 miles per gallon on a regular basis. My 73 Ford Maverick got better no computers to waste our invirement with.
Right on the money. In the year 2023 almost nothing is better…cars, transactions, air travel…it’s just different.

That is because videos like these use a lot of generic stock footage to fill in the gaps. Many times the narration does not match the video images.

The bigger question that is not covered in the video, is how can we prevent the ship wreck in the first place?
The video mentioned the presence of PCB, lead paint and asbestos. The dangerous substances have been banned for over 20 years.
The presence of these dangerous substances implies that the ship was built 30 years+ ago.
Why a ship containing these dangerous substances i8s still allowed to come to the United States ?
I have never been able to afford a luxury car in my life it looks as if I never will. This disaster appears to be more if a blip on someone elses radar.

Except in some of the larger cities EVs are not practical in the United States, they have no range.

Transporting gas/diesel cars is almost no risk of fire ( barely any fuel in them ) EV's are always full of complete ( unsafe ) battery-packs.... I do not understand WHY there is so much emphasis on EV vehicles when these batteries are the main elements that seem to be destroying these ships moving these EV cars. I know that the lithium-salt batteries are beiig developed that do not have the issues as straight lithium . And other technologies that will not have the many issues that lithium alone do. Maybe it is time we should stay with petro in lieu of lithium until other SAFER energy sources can be developed.

The problem with switching to digital.... electrical short circuits... analog is almost always better... if ballast was controlled b valve instead of switch this likely would not have happened..
Even television we have more advanced televisions but in an emergency if they don't get 80% signal they just give blue screen but analog tv it might be static but you get audio & video..
As humans we have adapted to disaster but we are walking away from being able to adapt to our surroundings, instead we try to adapt our surroundings to us...

All those salvage operation can be remove much faster but if a British. Or United States company get the contract these company will take years very strange
Better get your facts straight!! There were no Electric cars on that ship! Pretty damned sure there was no fire either! Also they were not unloading wrecked cars at the same time as rescuing the crew! I detest people coming on here and stating facts, that are not facts, more of something from your imagination!
