These sunset colours ins the desert are breath taking! Very nice videos.
Desert sunsets are hard to beat!
Son and Father Trip! Two Thumbs up if I could
It was fun to go on that adventure with my dad for sure.
Picture quality is insane
Gotta love 4k, even the iphone 4k is not horrible.
I loved your video! It made me wish I had spent more time on the road with my father, and I feel you are both very lucky. I looked this up for research for a book I’m writing, and yours was by far the best time spent between the two spots. Thank you! PS. Journey! ✔️
Amazing video. Love the Salvation Mountain plug and cool to see you hanging out with your Dad on all this. What every guy wants!
I agree it was fun going on a road trip with him. Thanks for the comment!
Your video is awesome! We wish to see more like this in the future. Thank You!
Wow , what an awesome 1 dayer adventure with your dad !! Amazing you fit this whole day in a 5 min Awesome vid.. Great Editing as always !
Thanks Ian! Trying to get better and better at editing videos that are to the point haha
Thinking about doing this trip from Tucson to LA and back for a 3 day weekend. You made this look fun.
Loved it!!!
Great job. You’ve really hit your stride with these videos!
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
I just found your channel and I think it's great! You do a great job and it brings back a lot of travel memories for me. Bombay Beach at Salton Sea used to be one of our hangouts in the early 70's. It was a thriving little resort community back then. Pretty much a ghost town today. I used to live in Tucson near the Rincon Moutain District of Saguaro National Park. It was a National Monument when I lived there. Another nice thing about the west side portion of the Park is that nearby is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. This is a great place to learn about the desert environment. Also, if you're heading to Arizona via Interstate 10 you might consider visiting the Patton Museum. It's directly on I-10 just south of Joshua Tree and east of Indio at the Chiriaco Summit. It' not very big but a lot of interesting history. General Patton trained his tank corps here during WW2 in preparation for going to North Africa. Keep up the good work! Safe travels!
Thanks so much for this guide! Will be doing it in about a month!
Uly & Ernesto no problem, glad it was helpful!
Awesome....loved that....thanks !
Thanks for the comment!
ROAD TRIPS, are my THING!! Great video! Planning a PCH 1, and Utah National Park trips this summer!
Your missing a convertible! Love my MX5, cramped but always fun.
Thanks for the comment and those are both amazing road trips. I love exploring the Utah parks, so much cool stuff to do there. I agree with the convertible as well, need to feel the wind in my hair on these trips!
Me too this is my thing but my mate changed our plans at the very last time so road trip cancelled... was in the USA for the first time in 20 years... What a shame
Salvation Mountain is really cool!
Agreed, I have been many times and always go back!
Another great video, you rock!
Thanks Gary, I appreciate it!
This is so wholesome
You covered a lot of ground and cool places in one day! Love your lazy co-worker and the fact that your dad, who is probably my age, does *not* know Journey (a favorite band from way back). Awesome video!!!
haha thanks, I thought that would be funny to put on my dog and I know right? Not knowing Don't Stop Beleiving was pretty shocking
these stops are all on my bucket list!
Some fun spots in the Cali desert for sure.
Thank You for Sharing!🤗
Thanks for the comment!
Wow. This was great help for a trip I am planning with my family. Thank you and God bless. From Pastor Rich
Great Job Josh!!! Next time maybe Dad could do/say more? He is a funny guy and has lots of good insights espesially about music like "Don't Stop Believing" or at least he could hold the camera for you. Love you guys, and all your stuff and happy fathers day to the big dog!!!
Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I need to teach him "Don't Stop Believing" so he can sing it with me on the next road trip. Happy fathers day to you as well!
Wonderful
Dope vid! I always wanted to visit the salvation mountain!
It's a really cool spot for sure.
California Through My Lens Josh do u have to use toll roads to get there? If so how much?
No, you don't have to go on any toll roads to get to Salvation Mountain from LA
thank you i enjoyed SALTON SEA as i have not been able to do that but wanted to.
From L.A. to Tuscon, I will take the "Phoenix cut-off" and stop in Gila Bend. Fun pix!
Good recommendation, I will check it out next time
Nice! Like your channel!
Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for the comment!
Is it 8 hours with all the stops you made, or 8 hours without stops? Thanks, great video!
Awesome video mate!! Super cool to see your Dad on the channel :-) I took my parents on a similar road trip a few years back, their first ever trip to the USA! The videos are on my channel if you're curious :-)
Thanks for the comment, I will have to check them out!
Were these locations on i10? And does it snow during Christmas?
Hotel to sleep before arriving to tuscon ? And what about the roads? Hard to see curves in AZ?
Is salvation mountain from the movie: into the wild
OK, CA. You're good on your home turf. But AZ is MINE! The East Saguaro National Park is smaller, but has much more biodiversity. The Rincon Mountains provide elevation changes so if you are a hiker (and I mean a REAL hiker), I think you'd enjoy the east more. On the other hand the west has (1) the world renowned Arizona Sonora Desert Museum - a MUST SEE, and (2) better camping facilities. Regardless, your videos are the best. Keep it up.
Thanks for the comments and for the ideas. I need to go back to Tuscon and check out some of these suggestions!
thanks for this info! we are planning to go on a roadtrip to AZ and was wondering where to head for road trippers. would you suggest just check in a local motel as we drive or make a reservation? we're from San Francisco
*sniffle* I miss tucson and the bahidaj fruit
Can get enough of your vids
Thanks, I appreciate that!
LMAO at Not Dad!!!!
