The greatest thing I have discovered as a new Raycast user is that there is this guy named Pedro and...I think he's from Spain, but it's like he learned English in U.K. so he's all cool and Spanish, and then this U.K. accent pokes through and it's like, "Hey, I'm fun too...let's go to the pub." and now all I want is an extension where Pedro will read my credit card statement to me so I can stay calm.
Man, I found Raycast not so long ago when searching options for clipboard management. Honestly, I picked Raycast because of the logo and gave it a try.I only used it for clipboard management which worked like a charm. And short after I started diving into more of its functionalities and I loved it. Raycast FTW!

Is there a way to add an "argument" which allows me to enter a date, and then it converts that to a particular date format? For instance, I enter the argument as 24 Dec 2024, and it gets converted to 20241225? Can't figure out how to do this...
So a crazy question, is there a way to use a quicklink to do the search, and then give you a drop down of the results and then allow you launch one of the results directly? I'm trying to use quicklinks to search the clients in our CRM which returns a list of clients. Once the list is returned I want to then launch the particular client whithout having to interact with the webui. Thanks in Advance!
Other than quick link I use Raycast a lot to type and open urls, but unfortunately Raycast doesn’t remember my typed urls, so I have to type them again. I wish that like Alfred it remembered history of previously typed urls
Raycast for windows! Whoho. This is really a missing function on windows, the biggest reason i still use a mac. I would easily do the switch from mac if it wasn't for raycast. because that alone saves me hours of work every week, in terms of speeding up my workflow. but at the same time i need to switch platforms to work with software not available on mac. much appreciated im longing for the day!
Great video as always. Learned something new with the temporarily open with shortcut Just a quick feedback on the video itself, your face is a bit overexposed. Watching it on a HDR screen, so not sure if that contributes to it.
is it possible to do something like, ending the query with "!g" to search with google or ending with "!y" to search on youtube ? (i suck at memorizing shortcuts)
You can set an alias instead of a hotkey, that's what I prefer too. For example: The Search Google quicklink can be assigned to "g" or "!g" or anything else really. If you type that into the root search of Raycast, it will pull up that quicklink command. Then you write into the search text-field.
Just set the first fallback command to Duck Duck Go search... Then you can use all the !bangs you want... !yt to search youtube, or !g for Google etc... I use this all the time!

There's always so much more to explore with Raycast - the possibilities are endless!
That search with selected text is a new one for me. I do this often. Thank you!
🙌 love quicklinks
We all do 🔗
can you open multiple links in one go? for example, searching for a specific record on different stores?
Thank you for sharing, I just added a bunch of quicklinks and it is already paying off.
Please introduce a cheaper subscription without AI features.
That would genuinely be amazing. I’m extremely close to subscribing, but the price seems too high as I don’t use any of the AI features
You can choose sub without AI, it’s add-on already

5:55 - Wouldn't it be a good idea to add a Quicklink to Search in Raycast AI, instead of Google?
Love the quicklinks
Thanks for the video. It would be nice to be able to choose with which "Space" on Arc the quicklink should open.
Open Arc, hit cmd+T, type "air traffic control"
@@TheIronAviator Thanks a lot!

@@sudheervajrapu only with a very jank workaround that isnt worth it imo, it works inconsistently for me

No. That would need to be an extension.

Unrelated, but I get conflicting information. Is Google search worth any privacy concerns regarding tracking of your online behavior?

Honestly speaking, if you guys don't port it to linux soon, i might 😭
Never been so jealous of any os locked software as this.
Any plan to bring Raycast to Linux?
😂
I feel you, friend. I use both Mac and Linux. Raycast is so good that I really want to use it on my linux desktop as well.
