Really shows how important communication and focus fire is, no comms would probably play out a bit differently. ML7 is such a chad he can mess up a bunch (due to the keybind switch) but still carry a game by being a leader and through mastery of core mechanics. His teammates did great, big kudos to them. I'm impressed with how well they responded to ML's calls, even while under pressure. Good vibes in this vid, one of the most positive OW streamers around.
@@dazey856 I got placed in silver and pushed to gold as support without any comms beyond basic chat like "don't go alone, push together" and "focus zarya when she is low" lol, let's see if I can get to plat
@@skyfeelan definitely, as long as you look to improve your own gameplay you will climb, I was hardstuck gold in ow1 for like 4 or 5 seasons and didn’t climb until I realized it was actually me who could play better lol
Hearing a support say: "Don't panic I with you" is so heartwarming... Specially coming from Baptist and specially coming from ML7. And the felling that you can really trust him is amazing.
I honestly love how kind you are. You were so encouraging and supportive (hehe) to your teammates - I'm sure they all walked away from that match with increased confidence in themselves, which is a beautiful gift to have given them. Thank you for being kind!
I have almost equal amount of playing time in each role, with support having slightly the most, and it’s definitely the most difficult for me as well. It’s my lowest rank out of the three and I only play it more because queue times are shorter. They really need to add more supports to the game soon. I hope after rammatra that the next 3 will all be support or something. Doesn’t make sense that DPS has a million, while support only has 8, and tanks are going to have 11 when there’s only one per team now
Not to take away from ML7 mechanical skills, but I think just having a shot caller that knows what/when to use, where to go and who to focus, is 90% of what you need to win.
ML7, you are one of the most friendly and calm players I've seen. That makes you a great leader ingame! Would like to see more streamers, who don't just overuse the f-word and show their exaggerated ego. Keep on! :)

a lot of bronze/ silver/ gold are amazing like them, they just need to be more confident and have more trust in their teammates. I'm a gold support and sometime i play with my diamond/master friends and they don't feel like they have less support, actually they don't see the difrence between me and a diamond/master support. when i play with them i'm feeling less stressfull and i know nobody will be mad at me or insulting me (I'm verry stressful when someone yell in they mic)
Same here as a doomfist main.I get blamed a lot and get really bad anxiety when I pick df and I just expect to be blamed or trash talked.Honestly it’s annoying to deal with for me but I try.
I was playing some comp support last night, down in bronze and working on climbing. And the “stay calm with the callouts” thing was really important. Keeping morale high is so key in low rank games. Greet your team excitedly and happily and don’t throw blame except to claim it as your own. I did a lot of “let’s slow down, wait for five” calls. Or “hey we got time, lets slow down.” Because when you feel that last sixty seconds on the clock, people freak out. But that’s a ton of time. You can coordinate a lot in that time. I made a few mistakes, like missing a key sleep dart or getting stuck on a wall in front of a dva bomb (it was almost 3 am, i was tired and it showed). But I just laughed em off like “Oops, my bad! Wont do that again!” It worked very well. Having an igl who understands ult timings and how to stay chill is so important, and I loved seeing how mL7 handled his team in this video. There’s some great lessons there. I’m gonna keep trying to use em in my own games.
It was like watching an elementary school teacher giving directions to kids on a field trip. So fun. ML7 is amazing, this kind, patient and supporting approach is everything.
I think all of his advice can be applied to all metal ranks. I'm plat on support and I notice that a lot of my high tempo callouts tend to get ignored or cause an overreaction. Hopefully a more casual tone will help people respond appropriately.
Absolutely amazing how calm he is and you see he’s a real supporter bc he just don’t support with heals he also support the player with calls and that they doing great. I wish alot of OW players would be so calm like him. For me is my idol as a support main (Lucio on OW1, trying to get better with Ana and Kiriko bc of him now on OW2) .. Love you ML
I took your tips and went from b5-b3-b1 as a DPS. Knowing how a support player thinks and does things now makes sense to me and im able to play around my supports without any doubt or fear anymore. absolute unit you are
silver next and then onto gold and plat and beyond, gamer :D that's huge! I've experienced the same kind of thing - once I started asking myself as a support player what my dps and tank need and what I can give them, based on the kit of the hero I'm playing, I started getting so much better and having more fun, too. your supports may not notice what you're trying to do right now, but good supports (in the rank you play right now and in the ranks you will play in) will notice and appreciate you for it. looking forward to playing with you in plat!
This was great fun, mL! If SVB ever ran something like this again, do you think you'd be interested in maybe doing silvers, golds, plats etc.? It has a similar vibe to the 'unranked to GM' series' you've done where there's lots of general OW2 insight coupled with specific little nuggets unique to the teammates/ranks you're playing with. Plus, this lets you be more proactive with teaching and shotcalling (I don't remember you overly using comms in unranked to GM, which I understand is because a lot of lower ranks don't like that, but it was nice to see everyone get a little more comfortable as the game went on in this case) and just generally being kind but informative - it feels very much like the kind of content you've been fostering over the past few years.
This was really nice seeing this, especially with the little tips to help people out. They might seem simple but some people can forget these things. I experienced a lot climbing the ladder in OW1 and some of the very basic things comes a long way. Especially the calm and friendly callouts. Who woulda thought people listened more when you arent trying to threaten someone due to overwatch lmao
I'm overwhelmed by ml, not because of how good he can be but because of his kindness. God knows in video games how mean and toxic most people can be. But he always acts so gentle and kind in these situations…
This was a very sweet video lol .. had me smiling a lot :) with a lot of other big overwatch players focusing on how bad bronze is (flats lol) is nice to see someone treating them nicely :D
I swear to god, the "you need 1 hp to stay alive not max hp" helped me a lot, im bronze on dps and I mostly play tracer this season, I was recalling when I take a little bit of damage every time, and I was scared to try and take any duel with anyone cus I was scared of taking damage, but once I saw ml7 I realized that i was very wrong, i have 150 hp which can survive a few shots from that zen before I kill him, I dont need to finish of my target and get out of it with max hp.
this is huge! I can only imagine how difficult it is for DPS players, I've mostly played Mercy the entire time I've played overwatch so I've always had a self healing passive lol so I just have to not take damage for a little bit and then I start to get hp back. but y'all just have to like.... press W and trust that you'll only fall over once you've won the fight lol (I say this because sometimes as Mercy I will damage boost and let someone die in front of my eyes because confirming the kill is more important than them staying alive because I will usually have res anyway and if the kill is THAT important, the fight is going to be over after it so there's no harm in letting you respawn normally because you'll be back in time)
there's so much to learn here! I'm saving this to my playlist of educational videos because there's so much I want to absorb. first, the positioning. given he does not have a teammate with healing capacity, he positions safely even when he's doing damage. he's always near a wall or pillar. he relies on the passive to heal him, for the most part, and saves his abilities for the team. he ISN'T playing dps Baptiste. he's still playing support. he's not trying to solo carry the team, which is just beyond awesome to see. he's supporting his team and giving them resources and helping them, not trying to wipe out the enemy team while his teammates die on cooldown. God! this is such a treat. you don't have to label a video educational in order to give people something they can learn from. OKAY BUT THE COMMUNICATION!!!! simple, calm, actionable instructions!! "help our Hanzo" is nothing. in lower ranks, that's not specific. that doesn't mean anything. but "walk to our Hanzo" is GOOD. because anyone can do that. they can look around, see where Hanzo is, and press W towards their Hanzo and then do other things too. that kind of call does not expect or require advanced knowledge of the game. ml7 is MODIFYING his comms so they are helpful for his team. he isn't expecting his teammates to understand top 500 comms. he has taken the initiative and changed his language so he can help his team succeed. this is BEYOND important. communication is important in vc, but if you are choosing to do callouts, you need to make sure that what you're saying is helpful to your team and lets them know what you need. ml7 has done exactly that, AND he has done it without being condescending or treating his teammates as children. honestly, this is just fucking insane. I respect ml7 so much.
Even without the huge difference in skill, the fact that ML could call out targets and coordinate fights (& his teammates knew they could trust his callouts and therefore responded well!) so that everyone was working together is already such a huge difference maker
I feel like all those climb from unranked to GM made a huge deal for you my friend. Love to see you shinning as a Pillar for this community, much love ML7, you made me a tank main to a Ana main.
One of the things on display here: the best players don't only bring stats and plays to to a lobby but they also shore up morale. ML had his teammates playing at least a full rank above their average with encouragement and by not trying to micromanage everything despite undoubtedly knowing what they had to do better than them.
I'm currently at Diamond 5 (peak 3) on Support but some friend of mine i often play with are in Bronze. Thanks for the advices in this video, it will help me to better help them now :)
You're a legend and an example to follow, ML7. Knowing how many ultra toxic top 500 players are out there, it is really refreshing to see you, as a top 500 player, be so calm, kind and positive towards others. Huge respect!
You have inspired me so much with how kind, humble and calm you are! Thank you for this video! Overwatch makes toxicity normal, but kindness is so important. I wish I could play with you!! Lol I swear if team mates are kind and calm, it makes the game much more enjoyable.

everyone starts somewhere! you're doing the right thing by looking for videos and people you can learn from, and as long as you just stay focused on yourself and the list of things you can do to contribute more value, you'll have fun and climb. it just takes time and practice and effort. there's no real secret to it. you got this!
ML7 was so lovely to his teammates. I was in one of these ranked gauntlets awhile ago. Don’t remember who I played with but he was a little rude and obnoxious. Acted better than the rest of us.
ML7 will alway be and has been my favorite Overwatch streamer for the longest time. He's calm/methodical/reasonable person which makes him so much for fun too watch than the overly hype and exaggerated streamers in my opinion. Much love to ML7!
i love how he talks to his team like a kid who just got hurt and the parent is trying to calm them. "its ok, just push forward, dont worry." same energy as "youre ok buddy, you just fell over, youre good, youre fine"

your tips are so helpful as a longtime mercy main who came from console ive been improving so much at ana and kiriko just from watching you :') you truly are the rank 1 support
soo even if i knew this, i learned "help your team mates" Turn arround and support then for a few second to secure their life and may kill one. This works in every rank and i think gives u a huuuuge advantage no matter how technical skilled the enemy team is
As a Zarya main the difference between random supports vs a good like Ana or Kiriko is insane! I can play sooooo much more aggressively, it's truly mind boggling. Times I think I'm dead I look and I still have like half health. Enabled pre patch Zarya was an immovable object. Team thanked me but I always type in chat "Ana ily". Also had a Mercy who, after some time, decided to pocket me on Soldier the rest of the game and we popped off! Good supports are amazing.
duuude that's what bronz need man, someone do good calls. i feel the mates wasn't bad until now 9:00 and u are so calm, belive me that helps alot for good vibes in the game , that was a nice Game man and it makes me happy for the mates too .
I absolutely adore this video, and I’m not even done watching it yet. I could see all of his reasoning for choosing the heroes that he chose Reinhart because it’s the easiest thing to play if you’re not sure what you’re supposed to be doing in the highest shield Fashion in Taub, because of the high damage I put in the fact that nobody in low ranks kills turrets so it’s basically just an extra player And Baptiste, because he has immortality, and at that level people are hitting their shots enough to even need two healers Compile that with his excellent strategies and shot calling and overall positivity and being encouraging his teammates, I haven’t watch the end yet, but I bet you they win ❤
The difference seeing someone being patient and kind whilst still holding excellent leadership skills. Usually us bronzes just get yelled at but not given any tips or useful advice so seeing this was honestly awesome 😁
Alot of people who play this game can learn alot from ML7 about just being a supportive teammate. All too often we see a bunch of chiefs and not enough indians. Communicate, support one another, and know the difference between competitive and cocky.
I can only imagine how absolutely FUN it would be to play with someone like this. The calm collective smart play making decisions an call outs. I would KILL to play a game with someone like this.
I'm here with some excellent news, my friend. you have the potential and capacity to BE that someone, and the upside is that you'd be playing every game with someone like that :) I'm a big believer in trying to be the thing you want to have in the world. think about it like this - you know how valuable it would be and how much it would mean to you, and YOU can be that and give that to other people. that's powerful, imo. and you'll probably find a ton of people who are trying to bring the same energy, too.
Plat/diamond here, used to get masters in ow1. Honestly, you mentioning the tone of the callouts is a big point. And I'm guilty of that, thank you for making me realise!
I mean, his gamesense, mechanical skill are of course a major part of it. But just looking at this from an objective standpoint: Having someone who coordinates the entire team makes it so much better. Communication is really key.

Love to see you shinning as a Pillar for this community, much love ML7, you made me a tank main to a Ana main.
Never doubted you’d be the first to handle this challenge. Wholesome content ftw
I’m d1 on df mainly currently I’m having a lot of fun.
However I also am either mediocre at other tanks or outright awful.
I’m console btw
@@doomfishmain5154 whats you ingame name? Maybe i saw you
@@BenutzernameXY it’s just “Doomfistmain”
The skin I mainly run is carbon fiber,Seoul dynasty, or gladiator
You're a legend and an example to follow, ML7. Knowing how many ultra toxic top 500 players are out there, it is really refreshing to see you, as a top 500 player, be so calm, kind and positive towards others. Huge respect!
You have inspired me so much with how kind, humble and calm you are! Thank you for this video! Overwatch makes toxicity normal, but kindness is so important. I wish I could play with you!! Lol I swear if team mates are kind and calm, it makes the game much more enjoyable.
The way you explained the match afterwards was actually so strangely intelligent. It really shows how much thought goes into pro gameplay.
I like this guy...he's so attentive to his cat on his videos..ppl that love and are kind to animals are generally lovely ppl..this guy is the nicest person I've seen on overwatch..even when's he's mad he's cool..got my vote dude...and I have a cat called Wednesday(don't ask.lol)
Aww, I love wholesome ML7
"Shut up you've been stuck in gold for 5 years!"
:O
"someone stay on point"
is an all rank hood classic especially when no one stays on point lol.
professor ML7 at the end was the best (-; I think we need more of that
this was actually insane...i am really bad at baptiste...but i also enjoy playing support heroes...i am new player in overwatch and made to bronze 1 at 1st time...but then i lost so many games and came down to bronze 5...but i always try myy best and learn from my mistakes hpoing to do better...
everyone starts somewhere! you're doing the right thing by looking for videos and people you can learn from, and as long as you just stay focused on yourself and the list of things you can do to contribute more value, you'll have fun and climb. it just takes time and practice and effort. there's no real secret to it. you got this!
mL7 great support and Psychologist! He directs the whole team keeping them calm and stress free🤣😁 The hero we need but no one deserves 💪
Gotta love it lmao, first comment "We stay in train and do absolutely not go outside"
Rein immediately: goes outside
😂
They got the goat Bame and ML7 in 1 video? Crazy
12:35 sent that lamp to SPACE 😂
Addition on your tips for communication in bronze: USE A FREKKIN MIC IN THE FIRST PLACE! xD Or at least BE in the voice chat to listen for callouts! SO FEW in bronze uses mic... They only talk after teamfights and matches flaming and pointing fingers at each other.. Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20 in sub-plat....
13:58 made me subscribe, literally so reassuring to your team I loved that
11:25 'They have Pharah' - A bronze nightmare I guess 😂
mL7 makes Baptiste look fun, I'm an Ana main but mL7 is expanding my hero list by being a real one
your tips are so helpful as a longtime mercy main who came from console ive been improving so much at ana and kiriko just from watching you :') you truly are the rank 1 support
As a support main, I always learn something from your vids, thanks for keeping it fun man!!
CHAD lad. I kneel to support king.
Im bronze or low silver and these calles where super helpful even just watching it ! Would love to play with ML i would learn slot
My respect for ML7 will never fade. Truly Chad energy.😎
soo even if i knew this, i learned "help your team mates" Turn arround and support then for a few second to secure their life and may kill one.
“Shut up, you’ve been stuck in gold for 5 years” was so hilarious 😂
Really like this content much better than coaching vod reviews
I'd love to see a video explaining all these small things that you pointed out at the end! Super helpful.
I wish all ranks were this civil. Excellent coaching mL7
duuude that's what bronz need man, someone do good calls. i feel the mates wasn't bad until now 9:00 and u are so calm, belive me that helps alot for good vibes in the game , that was a nice Game man and it makes me happy for the mates too .
Even though I know most of these tips, it helps to hear them again and really drill them in.
I absolutely adore this video, and I’m not even done watching it yet.
I could see all of his reasoning for choosing the heroes that he chose
Reinhart because it’s the easiest thing to play if you’re not sure what you’re supposed to be doing in the highest shield
Fashion in Taub, because of the high damage I put in the fact that nobody in low ranks kills turrets so it’s basically just an extra player
And Baptiste, because he has immortality, and at that level people are hitting their shots enough to even need two healers
Compile that with his excellent strategies and shot calling and overall positivity and being encouraging his teammates, I haven’t watch the end yet, but I bet you they win ❤
The speed at which ML7 learned and adapted was absolutely incredible. Either that or how well he was able to put it into words, idk.
love how wholesome ml is :')
The difference seeing someone being patient and kind whilst still holding excellent leadership skills. Usually us bronzes just get yelled at but not given any tips or useful advice so seeing this was honestly awesome 😁
ești o legenda bă 😂😂😂 accentul e cel mai bun😂
Alot of people who play this game can learn alot from ML7 about just being a supportive teammate. All too often we see a bunch of chiefs and not enough indians. Communicate, support one another, and know the difference between competitive and cocky.
i literally watch you everyday, i have an alfred binding for your channel ml! much love man
I can only imagine how absolutely FUN it would be to play with someone like this.
Damn, great video! I totally overlooked the importance of communication in ow
I mean, his gamesense, mechanical skill are of course a major part of it. But just looking at this from an objective standpoint: Having someone who coordinates the entire team makes it so much better.
Communication is really key.
The positive attitude was a good idea to get the win here, well done was fun to watch :D
"Don't worry, I'm with you," is such a comforting statement. XD
You're such a good shotcaller!! I aspire to keep learning from you ^-^
i feel like ml7's callouts makes this an educational video
Unfair, you had the legend himself bame1 on your team
wwaaait wait wait wait just one second
1:11 Kerning city soundtrack from Maplestory???
ML7 you are officially my favorite OW content creator or just OW person.
Great video! This proves that Baptiste is the best healer for team stability when min maxed in my opinion.
*support. Can’t have ML7 shake his head at us.
@@bombdememo You're right lol.
