I have a fountain that’s just begging to be planted!!! I’m sooo happy you made this video to show what you made with succulents!! I’m binge watching gardening videos and it’s getting difficult to sleep with all the helpful ideas!❤️🌵🌱🌾🌿🌷🌺🌴🌻🕊🐓🦙🦌🦢🐇🦚🥑🍆🍓🍐🥥🥦🥕🌽🌶🥒🥬🧄🧅🦘🦋🐞! Your fountain is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! Life began in the garden!!
Laura. Oh my gosh. I am so inspired by your fountain. My neighbor threw out a shell fountain a few months ago. I grabbed it and it has been sitting untouched ever since in my back porch. I was going to mosaic it and make it a bird bath. But we have a huge problem with West Nile virus here in my area. A succulent garden is the answer. And now I feel I don’t need to go through the trouble of mosaic. Thank you
I started watching your videos recently and now I have taken all my potted succulents and made a tapestry. Wow. It takes a lot. I used 4 different top dressings. Went to Sepulveda Building materials, picked out 2 small “boulders”, and half an open bag of tiny river rock. When we got to the counter-my husband is a contractor so they know us- we asked, “ how much?” The guy said “Have a nice day.” 😝👍🏼👍🏼 So my project was free, except for my aching body today. I already had 3/4” green quartzite and some 4” amber cobbles. Will try to figure out Instagram tomorrow since I’m not on Facebook. 😊🙏🏼❤️
Your maintenance videos are my absolute favourites! The last few videos have been such treats :) I love seeing how you behead and tidy up older arrangements, it's incredibly satisfying. Your garden is such a paradise, loving all the plants but also how you put in the bold coloured furniture.
I loved everything about this video so inspiring and the formative! Your videos in your own backyard showing all your hard work is my favorite. XOXO thanks Laura
Okay I am seriously JEALOUS of all of your crests!!! That aeonium sunburst is crazy. I do not have one. Not one. And I have lots of succulents! WTH??? But I do believe yours are gifts to you for all you give to all of us! Have a great weekend ;)
Dang!! What a yard! Shes got her own supply! Its like looking into someones jewelry box. Thanks Laura! You have inspired me to do a succ garden. Hope it does ok in coastal northern cal
I can remember when you planted this. I think it looks fabulous! Not sure what's changed recently - new camera/person/technology but it has vastly improved! Lovin' it!! ❤
I'm just enjoying these videos..😊😊Beautiful backyard...I still remember the day you started filling the fountain..n today the quick touch..so gorgeous..love it😆
I keep saying “love” every time I comment, but I love your fountain, the project proposal, and the titles that Greg (presumably) put on the video with the names of succulents! I took about 20 screenshots on my phone during the video so I can finally learn the succs names. Thank you so much!
Love the fountain, love your quick touchups - I know some have commented that they think it needs to be cleaned up - but this is my kind of crowd, just saying - I love it!
Gorgeous. I live in Michigan and placed hardy succulents in a birdbath. This is its fourth year and I love it. I plan to add hardy hens and chicks this summer.
Thanks for breaking the beau. arrangement down like that. At first sight it looks too complex and I was clueless to how to make something look so professional and stunning. But looking at the arrangement over and over again & pausing I found clues. Thanks for giving their names. I'm new to succulents and want to find and learn abt succulents I see or use them in my own creations. Can't do that if I don't know their names.
I love the fountain. I think you need to start over with the string of pearls though. A fresh touch of darker green would make everything pop. I'm going to hunt for something like that. I can see it in my mind now. 💙🐝💙
I think I over protect my succulents as I am so reluctant to make changes (for cuttings). I am a bit afraid of planting cuttings mixed in with rooted plants. Do you still do much of your watering by hand, whether in pots or in the ground.? I am in zone 9 Northern California. Do you water your clay pots differently from glazed pots? Your garden is as beautiful as your heart (yes I have met you in person and you do shine).
Catherine Sot I understand your concerns. I’m zone 12 so I can get away with anything! I water everything by hand and by instinct. Thank you for your kindness and best of luck as you grow in confidence and experience❤️
Love to see you work in your own garden. I didn't see you being extra careful with the grape and donkey tails. I've noticed that those two break fairly easily. Is that true for you?
I am new to your site and in love, but I live in a zone 4. Can I make a fountain and bring it inside for the cold winters here? Will they survive an indoor climate?
This video had my anxiety to the max just watching how you cut out without hesitation 😅😅 but was satisfying after all, almost gave me a mini heart attack 😅
Hola Laura hace mucho que te sigo y hablo español y poco inglés 🤷🏼♀️. Please🙏🙏🙏🙏...... When uploading a video to RUclips, generate the possibility to be in other languages...... Thus, we can all understand their language.... Thank you 😘 saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱 🇨🇱 🇨🇱 🇨🇱 🇨🇱 🇨🇱
My string of pearls stem always dries up,and i do water ever so often in our high humid weather, what do you think causes this? It receives morning sun, afternoon shade. Does this happen to anyone else,Hope to hear any solutions
i dont have the space to put fountain lmao, i put some agave victoria reginae and some cactus under my potted petrea volubilis tree and its outside and its raining everyday i hope theyre alive

Hi Laura.... I almost always agree with your fabulous eye, but that fountain needs to be purged. It is too crowded. I would take everything out and make it look a bit more polished. Just a thought... 💚💚💚

Laura in her own backyard...doesn't get any better than this. Relaxed, informative, and tons of fun. Thank you.

Hi laura, quick question,How often do you water your fountain and the gutters🌵
Tayba Bajaber rarely in the winter and gently every week or so in the spring through fall.
I posted a photo on Instagram of my tapestry. First time I’ve posted, so probably messed up. 😕sigh
Love to see you work in your own garden. I didn't see you being extra careful with the grape and donkey tails. I've noticed that those two break fairly easily. Is that true for you?
Rosanna5 Schmidt they are a bit fragile.
I am new to your site and in love, but I live in a zone 4. Can I make a fountain and bring it inside for the cold winters here? Will they survive an indoor climate?
Debra Nielson yes! It’s a challenge, but give it a try!
This video had my anxiety to the max just watching how you cut out without hesitation 😅😅 but was satisfying after all, almost gave me a mini heart attack 😅
😍😍😍
Did you drill holes in the fountain for draining? I was thinking that during the rainy season, that water is just going to settle in cause root-rot.

My stacked crassula has such a woody stem I was afraid to cut off the roots. It's ok to just stick in the dirt after trimming?
Wendy Pesavento yep😊
What about rubbing alcohol 1 to 1 with water, sprayed on? Does that also work???
Do you put any fertilizer for those succulent
My string of pearls stem always dries up,and i do water ever so often in our high humid weather, what do you think causes this? It receives morning sun, afternoon shade. Does this happen to anyone else,Hope to hear any solutions
Tayba Bajaber cut off the dead part and reset the healthy green stems
Did you create holes on the fountain for water to drain ?
Love your fountain...I just created one today hope you can see it in my videos.
i dont have the space to put fountain lmao, i put some agave victoria reginae and some cactus under my potted petrea volubilis tree and its outside and its raining everyday i hope theyre alive
