Totally overhyped, thanks in no small part to The Fast and The Furious franchise. Great car? Yes, for sure. But not enough to warrant spending the amount they cost brand new (even factoring in inflation).
I sold my super clean supra last year for £24k with with big brakes and single turbo conversion. The prices have doubled and the pandemic has done nothing to slow down the increase.
The rear hatch rust on Supras is very common especially on white cars for some reason. Most likely why the inspection team missed it because it pretty much comes factory like that lol. I think the white paint rubs off easily when chaffed agaisnt the rubber seals exposing the bare metal. The dash "!" light will always be on if the handbrake is up, it goes away when the handbrake is down, if the light is still there then most likely a cel. The RZ brakes in Japan are the same as the SZ but you can get the optional big brakes brand new still which are very awesome brakes. Just a bit of info for the next owner or future supra owners :D This car is amazing regardless of the hatch rust!
This car is pretty, nice, cool and awesome because the Supra is the best JDM cars. Supra FTW! If the JDM cars with right hand drive cars is gonna import to USA, they need to be 25 years old.
Correct. Japan got the regular hatch Open Deck and you see them frequently on the road. It's a rare sight to see the Open Deck over here. I might have seen 2 or 3 and always wave.
Also nice video, I liked that you went over details, if you need someone who’s more of an expert in Supras, I am in Japan and would be happy to help possibly. I am building a Supra with every single OEM option and it’ll be the rarest Supra in the world.
@@sv_cheats1970 RUclips isn’t my thing but that I would do one day... will be years away anyway, car is in storage in one country while parts in another and no time or place to bring them together for now. The Supra has many options, the option brochures have probably 30-40 different things you could buy. Way way more than what the r34 had, that’s another reason why the Supra should be more valuable than the r34, not just because the 2JZ engine is worlds better than the rb26
Even on a 4.5 B B car they overlooked corrosion. That's my personal experience from a low milage 2002 Mercedes I bought. Don't understand why they don't mention something which is so obviously. That corroison on the trunk is noticeable right away.
An RZ-S is the exact same car as what an RZ was 1993-1995 (Unless after 97 with V161 & VVTi. From 1995, the RZ came with the big brakes and other things. The big brakes were optional on the RZ-S
Early RZ model since 95+ few month the RZ model came with 4/2 piston brakes aka "big brakes" and recaro seats as standard equipment. Also late RZ 94 has a big brakes. Weird This is 93-96 steering wheel wo airbag.

We don't have cars. We are a service for buying from dealer auctions. Dealer auctions are one price, dealer inventory is that same price plus their markup.
That’s a very “of the era” Supra. Nice to see since almost every single one is making 1500hp and looks like every other drag race Supra out there

This car will never get old
Cheers Derek made my day in lockdown..owned 4 celica gt4s down the years never got to a supra..old skool rules..keep safe everyone.
Despite 250k km... This car looks superb!
Steering is correct, 96 models have 4 spoke steering.

Considering how old it is. It’s in great shape.
Best shoe review I've ever seen ever
This thing is super clean for the mileage and I love that Supra stripe decal

Gold badges were an option here in the US, and I believe they were standard on the 95-only "SE" model, which was a stripped-down base model.

What's the yellow car that is always parked in the backround
Toyota Bb open deck. It was sold as a hatchback in the states under the name Scion xB.

I think the vvti ones are interfence if the timing belt breaks
Correct. And it's the same for NA ones too.
@ 9:20 clutchless crank how!? Now I ought to try on me A70
Most JDM cars don't have clutch safety switches. It's a regulation for North America due to accidental run-away cars...
@@PacificCoastAuto Idn't that pathetic, YEY my vehicle don't need clutch to start!

I was just going to say the same. Lol
For how much did this one sell?

Hey Derek is this car euro 4 compliant?
It's like euro 1 or euro 2, depends on what emissions standards Japan had back then.
Whats that orange car behind it?

Non-incident Supra with original manual? That shall cost a fortune even with that mileage.
3million yen!!!
