The A70’s tilt wheel actually has dual levers; one to access the adjustable tilt settings and one to move the entire column into the highest position for ease of access into the drivers seat - while still maintaining an optimal driving position once you’re actually in the car.
US Supras have an illuminated digital number climate control with buttons. US Supras have an oil pressure gauge where this one does not. US Turbo cars did not have a voltmeter. My workaround for that is to put a USB charge port in the cigarette lighter that also has a volt readout when nothing is plugged into it. I have the 87-88 optional super monitor where the clock goes normally.
I don't know, I kindof like the stock exhaust, something about authenticity that really gets me. And who's to say that rebuilt twins can't deliver the satisfaction of some extra power yet remain true to the 1jzgte feel? Manual swap would be a must though lol.
I have a 89 white Supra with a 1JZ single turbo VVTi, paired it up with a W58 5 speed transmission (it handles it great), interior is a 9 out of 10, no dash cracks, no accidents either. That car has been lowered the same as mine. Check the spare tire tub for rust, these cars all rust there because the tail light gaskets deteriorate over time and leak. The tail lights look nice and they are the same as the cars exported to the states. That transmission shifter is normal wobble to a car that old, the car is missing the rear compartment cover
LOL gotcha @ the jdm boi I have a car noobie question though. @11:48 when you say you're obviously not going to go drifting in a car like this what do you mean? Did you mean because its an automatic? or because the a70 chasssis isnt preferable in some way? They told me most rwd jdm cars with turbo are fun to go sideways Love all your videos dude, thanks
I'd say two reasons, one, Auto like you said because less control of the engine as you won't be in control of what gear it's in (needed for drifting) and 2 how good of coniditon it is in.
This was my first "fast" car on Gran Turismo lol. The USA got seriously rooked on the engine choice, the M engine is nothing compared to the twin turbo 1JZ monster under the hood of this particular Supra. IMO these are very overlooked cars, I even like the automatic, with a turbo motor you can brake torque it, build boost off the line and they're just as fast or faster off the line as a manual.
This Supra just went past the 40,000 mile mark. Also, the automatic would be okay with me, for such a car. You may not sacrifice too much in acceleration or even fuel economy.
Not bad. Although side mirrors has wear and tear, engine area needs to rework and re-detail plus new paint work, but still a good 90s car. Like the Evo, impreza, gtr.. ☺
For a 29 year old car, it's in fantastic shape!

Yep! T16 Celica was the same.
@@HOYS and x7 Cressida. Probably alot of the old toyotas
I was going to say the same thing, but I already said too much

It would be good if we could see you driving the cars a little bit.
This will be manual swapped. The twin turbo setup will be discarded for a single turbo and the stock exhaust will also go.

Can you explain the footwork it took to get it ship from Japan?
The USA taillights are lighter. All JDM supras had darker taillights. The US also got the digital climate control.
I guess I'm kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
