I just paint on tips, but shaping is a whole nother skill. And I agree with your mom, you should definitely charge your worth! I have trouble with that too. Sometimes I time a set and realize I'm making like $10 an hour, but I feel bad about asking too much. However I realize it's not sustainable to work like that of you want to make it your full time job, so don't feel bad about paying yourself fairly!

When I do my nail prep, I will dehydrate prime, then put a clear layer of acrylic, so that nails already done and I’ll do the same for both hands so you don’t forget to prime
