i have a rtx 3080 pc and a rtx 3070 pc & i'm also a student of CSE. On the most parts i agree with you vaia regarding nvidia but recently there have been some drivers that decreased/worsened the performance of my 3080, even had problems with sound. so i would suggest anyone facing similiar issues to go and download the studio drivers they are stable, amazing for gaming, deep learning,video editing.
@@kavyasingh8359 even if your kid's a cs cs aspirant ma'am i would recommend that you give him a pc/laptop just for coding..it won't take much gpu. So a cheap laptop with good cpu(even no graphics card) would do fine for now. But If you want to go for pc then i would suggest using a intel processor and motherboard combo as it does not require a seperate graphics card initially. And later once he starts doing deep learning, machine learning etc you might install a graphics card as more VRAm will help him compiling the epochs faster in anaconda.(sorry for making this reply too long and glad to provide any information that might help you)

I have a gaming laptop with RTX 3050Ti,and then it wasn't too expensive,my experience with this laptop is amazing...I get the perfomance I want....I am totally satisfied with my gaming laptop,I think if you want to build a budget gaming pc or want to buy a budget gaming laptop...you should go with amd..but if you can add a lil bit more money but want the best perfomance,you should definitely go with nvidia and it won't disappoint you.

I have r5 5600x cpu and rx 6700xt card, i get very good performance, 140+fps at 1080p ultra settings and above 100 fps at 2k. . And I didn't have any problems with the latest AMD drivers 23.2.2. . And watch any comparison video of nvidia and amd cards on youtube, gpu temperature of amd will always be 5 to 6 degree less than nvidia, rather nvidia cards have more heat. .

@@rubberbandpromax actually for specially gaming amd outperforms nvidia everytime even now with their 6xx series and 7xx series the heat and power consumption is lesser then nvidia 40 series and most of all gamers don't care about ray tracing and i prefer not to use dlss it's better to build a raw native pc and amd gives better vram in their gpus which help them a lot now days lots of people are complaining that they cannot play newer games bcz of vram and prices of amd GPUs are good like for 1 lac and less for a 7900xtx which is a 4080ti
But amd is all rounder. amd make graphics card, processor, apu and also make ps5 and xbox motherboard with inbuilt cpu and gpu.
