  • After a few months of waiting out hurricane season and having to jump over a few hurdles that life kept throwing at us it was FINALY time to leave Trinidad.
We had two weeks to prepare ourselves and wait for an "okay" weather window that just seemed to never come. We provisioned ALOT, stocked up on diesel, had our last hot unlimited water showers for a while, quickly sewed some window shades to help with the heat inside the boat, received our Anchor light from Lopolight, connected the anchor light, Cleaned the bottom of Saoirse and had to say goodbye to some amazing people we met over the few months we spent at Peakes / Trinidad.
It was finally time to leave the dark diesel infested waters of Chaguaramas Bay and head across to Tobago... Blue Waters here we come!
We just had to get through the horrible current and wind that was on the nose of Saoirse sometimes leaving us doing a blinding speed of 0.8 knots with both engines on. After after 26 hours we finally reached Mount Irvine Bay in Tobago.
BLUE WATER! The start of our Caribbean Adventure.
