Driving The Newest Russian Highway M-12 “East” from Moscow to Arzamas

- Full video driving all the way through the newest Russia’s federal highway M-12 “East” from Moscow to Arzamas (~430km).
Initially, M-12 supposed to be a non-stop transit highway from Moscow to Kazan as an alternative to already existing M-7 “Volga” highway which goes directly through many towns and villages.
But at the moment the construction extended further to the Ural region to the cities of Ekaterinburg and Tyumen.
On the 8th of September was opened the site of M-12 from Moscow to Arzamas which goes from the eastern border of Moscow through Vladimir, Murom and Arzamas.
So nice to see Russia having a proper motorway network now. Just shows how much progress they have made in the past 10 years.

Wow what a smooth road .... esp in a cold environment...our roads are terrible in USA I'm a truck driver and it is non stop construction going on once they get done it's time to start all over

One of the most tragic thing in Soviet was that it did not develop proper infrastructure.
Highway is cool.. Kind of too bad they put up all that sound wall. I get they want to cut back on highway sound, but seems like they placed the wall in kind of not so populated areas.. Be nice to see the country side.
This entire time that Vladimir Putin has been at the helm of affairs of Russia has truly been transformational for the country. The Russia he inherited from Yeltsin and the Russia of today are totally different countries. Russia of today is growing richer, more beautiful, more grand, more powerful, more confident and is also growing in size! Russia's influence stretches across the world. When Putin leaves the political scene finally, his era will be written in history books, his monuments will go up, generations will remember him for his contributions. When he passes, his successor will have gigantic shoes to fill. It will not be easy to be like Putin.
It may be a strange question, but why is it that in Russia, cables seem to run from lamp post to lamp post ? I don't see this anywhere else in the world. Is it because of the frost in winter and thus easier maintenance if it breaks down?
