I love knowledge and it was driving me crazy not being able to know how to use this triangle thing lol. This speed square tool was baffling the crap out of me. I was overwhelmed to say the least lol. Hey, Evone. I'm a 60 year old female newbie woodworker, hoping to gain some knowledge over the next few years in order to start a small ww business, like boxes, planters for the garden, etc. Did some woodworking many, many years ago, but didn't have the time, space or tools to continue, though my ex (and best friend) he bought me a DeWalt drill and driver set, and gave me a lot of drills, bits, screws, etc. for my 50th birthday. Best gift ever!! A new neighbor told me, it was a crazy gift, and I should return it and buy a diamond ring instead. But that would be crazy, as I already had an old glass cutter from my late dad! (It's actually true! (lol) And I have made so many repairs, small builds, etc. with them, as I live alone in a (rented) house, with my 6 cats, and until recently 2 chickens, and there is always something to fix. During Covid lockdown, I "accidentally" saw a few woodworking channels, and since then I've bought me a 10 inch Skil table saw, a Bosch router, jigsaw, etc. and the two most expensive tools; a 12 inch Record bandsaw and a DeWalt plainer ... Not packed out yet, as I need to fix my tiny workshop, and make some flip flop carts to fit the tools in there. I also got my first speed square recently and found out some of the things it could do, but like you, this video expanded my knowledge a lot. Wish you lots of luck, Evone, and stay safe and creative. I don't have and have never used a speed square ... very useful tool by the looks of it ... clear and concise demonstration of it's capabilities ... fantastic 👍
An excellent video, and I enjoyed the neat trick of using the speed square to scribe a circle! I will definitely watch another video on furher uses of the speed square,
I also use speed squares to line up a circular saw when making 90 deg cuts on timber. I bought several large plastic models at Harbor Freight (USA) for just that and keep them spotted by all my work benches on hooks. I also have the smallest version of the Milwaukee Speed Square that I keep in my shop apron. And for rafter cuts its Hip and Valley cuts.
Hi Tomasz, another great video. Now you have the good news you are staying in the house how about building the workshop window reveal ,I know you said you had other plans but you could rebate top and bottom parts ,and then slide in side parts.The outer exterior could be a large picture frame with laser cut features about woodworking glued to this to make it 3d.Oh another point we discussed a while ago ,paint the wire damaged wall.😂

Exactly I think having at least two is a must, one large anyone small. Perfect combo for many applications

I think I will go with a cupboard with opening doors. On the doors I'll have my logo or something and storage inside. That's the plan at the moment
