- Dallas FOX 4 news helicopter, SKY 4 captured a police chase involving a suspect on a Harley. The suspect had a federal warrant and had been under surveillance. He led police through the streets and highways of Fort Worth and Arlington. The audio in this video is what SKY 4 photographer Mike is listening to during the chase. The audio contains off-air, air traffic, Mike's voice, the pilot's voice, ad the news producer. You will hear Mike's live reporting, as well as the news anchor. Also, check out how the suspect taunts the cops, and the possible excessive force at the end.
Funny how he parks the motorcycle before he gives up. Makes you think how much he liked that motorcycle. :)

@10:38, i could see exactly what was going on, but it appeared that big cop ran up and punched the guy twice. All of the other cops took him down as they're trained. The guy was giving up obviously. It was very unprofessional in my opinion of that cop.

The only reason that is an issue is because of what you didn't see. He was cutting through parking lots, driving over sidewalks, and just generally being an idiot. We were more worried about an innocent person being injured by this idiot because he didn't want to serve his time.

Good job Mike, sort of reminded me of the OJ low speed chase. Should have rammed him from behind, and took him out! Idiots like this we the taxpayer have to support in prison which sucks. The world is full of idiots like this! I'd hate to be a cop I don't have the patience.

No matter that he had been evading the police. when he did stop, he put the kick stand down and looked to be giving up. Then that cop tackled him right off the bike and that one cop ran in there and started throwing punches. I don't care if your adrenaline is high at that time as a police officer you should have more control of your actions

You cover the man and tell him to get up against one of the cars and frisk him from there. You risk your own life and that of the other officers when you take a suspect down like that when there were other options. Twas a bone head move on all of them. That and the Guy wasn't even going very fast during this chase. Look at the cars he passes, only going maybe 10 mph faster than they were. Been passed by cops going faster with no lights or anything.

Yeah...I don't think he was "running" so much as he was getting his last ride in before he got locked up? Didn't look like he was breaking the speed limit by much even. Definitely not a skilled rider; Harleys may not be cornering ANIMALS...gut they can corner...and they can go fast. I also think the cop that "tackled" him was afraid he might try to run...and was thinking "if he does that, my BIG BUTT will NEVER catch him!"
The guy is obviously peacefully giving up, cops still beat him. I learned one thing from this video, don't stop for police because if you do, you get beaten. At least if you run you have a chance of escaping.

Not really. This guy just avoided the cops for a fairly long period of time. They want to make sure he doesn't run from them and get his ass into custody as soon as possible. Also, it's not like it was a hard fall. Something like four feet.

Not a sport bike but a Harley. Also going slow enough at numerous points that they could have pulled up along side and used a variation of pepper spray

Video facts: motorcyclist pulled off & stopped at 10:24, grabbed at 10:28, pulled to ground at 10:31, held down firmly by 3 gentlemen at 10:34, fourth gentleman watching at 10:35, fifth gentleman rushes to deliver a couple good slugs at 10:38, sixth gentleman came to observe at 10:40. Fourth gentleman applies cuffs at 10:47.
Certainly the actions of the motorcyclist are deplorable, but the fifth gentleman could have shown the restraint that the 4th had.

The market for these dinosaurs is bizarre. The motorcycle cops must be riding the same obsolete junk. 80 mph is first gear for real motorcycles with far smaller engines. Given room the cop cars would blow by the HDs top speed if the thing hadnf wobbled out of control after 120 or so with his water-pipe frame. Running on a Harley slug is like trying to sing Old Man River after being castrated

The thing with bikes is you typically won't catch them unless they let you, Especially sports bikes, Sports bikes if you get a 400cc-500cc+ then they are extremely fast, They have amazing acceleration, They are small and can weave through traffic extremely easily, They get far more mpg than almost any car or truck, And again with being small you can easily hide them, Cop tries to stop you, You accelerate to 100 mph in a very short time, Weave through traffic, Lose the cop in no time then you just hide the bike in a garage or something like that and your gone.
Why is that idiot of 1521 unit hitting the suspect? No need for that at all. Everything was allready under control. The suspect did not use force upon the officers so the policeman from 1521 unit is using excessive force. People like that, who have minimal brains and can not judge a situation, should be prosecuted!
Several mistakes were made here. The first one was trying to out run anybody on a Harley. Two you can't out run a helicopter. Three what to fuck was wrong with those cops? they could have boxed him, in the first mile instead of dragging it out. Of course I should not be surprised as the I.Q of most Harley riders is below 90.
Time 10:40. Passenger / Officer in car 1521. Jumps out. The biker is already taken down by 3 cops. The cop in car 1521 punched the biker in the side of the head and again on top of the head, for what reason.

Maybe the beating was a bit out of porportion, but you have to understand this guy had a federal warrant, has been under surveillance (i'm guessing not for some silly petty theft), and ran from the cops for a good 10 - 15 minutes ( if not more ). So in that case, it's good they took him down like that.

If your gonna try to outrun the cops on a motorcycle don’t use a Harley use a Kawasaki ninja or a big sport bike like it. A Harley is a heavy , not very maneuverable motorcycle, their great for crushing.

All these armchair judges and umpires don't know squat, and have no clue who the biker was. or if he was packing heat. any good biker would have pulled over long time ago and this all could have been avoided.
