  • In this video Ronald Kanne (woodturner in the Netherlands) makes a 3 legged stool from beech and oak. So if you want to know how to put the legs all in the same angle and how the circle is divided into three to place the legs, watch this video...
    About Ronald Kanne
    Ronald is a wood turner in the Netherlands. He makes commissioned work and his own free work. And every week turns out to be a little too short to get all the work done... He also runs a webshop for other wood turners. It's called: www.dehoutdraaierij.nl. This webshop is in Dutch, English and German. The website that contains his own work is called www.ronaldkanne.nl. You will also find these links in the video.

    I really enjoy your videos! I discovered you on youtube not so long ago and I have already watched all your videos. I hope you release new ones often. I pick up many valuable tips from you, those that I don’t see in other celebrated woodturners. And last, but not least, I enjoy your good vibrations as those of Lies.

    Taking the corner off so it isn't square is adding a chamfer (I think) 😁. Another lovely project that I'll try one day. Maybe I'll make it a bar stool ...

    Hi Ronald, great video as usual. What a lovely simple stool, would look great anywhere. I think I might need to get the drilling jig, I can think of so many other projects it would make easier.
    Thanks again and I look forward to the next video.

    Nice job, I like the simple style. Last time I made a tall bar style stool with four legs, but I drilled the holes using my drill press with the table angled to 30 degrees, then used wedges to hold the legs in without glue. I still use the stool when carving at the Lathe. I like how you drilled the holes, I should invest in one of those tools.

    Hello Ronald, that was a most informative video. That test block you used to check the leg dowel is called a ' Go no go guage' where I come from ( Scotland ) Maybe Mrs Santa could buy you a fan and a longer tool rest? Best regards.

    Hi Lies, Ronald. As usual, a pleasure to watch! It is a multi-layered joy. The ease of handling the wood and lathe are revealing the real master, the video coverage is a pleasure to watch and then, of course, the humor and lightness in the coverage. Great stuff! Yet, I'm wondering wether it was Gouda kaas or Edammer that made your stomach go silent. :-)

      Hi Frank, As usual, a pleasure to read your comment. Thank you very much. The Stomach whisperer was 2 slices of bread from Bakker Paul Berntsen from Didam, each finished with a thin layer of Stolwijker Boeren Kaas, carefully planed with a Dutch cheese knife with a cherry handmade handle... :-)

    Hi Ronald ... another very entertaining and useful video! I have never seen an RPM readout on a Robust AB ... is that a 3rd party add-on? BTW, you have inspired me ... I'm off to the workshop to turn a 3-legged stool!

    • @ronaldkanne
      @ronaldkanne  3 года назад

      And is it finished now? :-) The RPM readout i made myself. On film it looks a bit strange maybe but in real the digits do not blink, they are on the whole time...
