- There are a couple months left until the premiere of The Originals, and we're gearing up for The Vampire Diaries spin-off. And we're not the only ones! Stars Daniel Gillies, Joseph Morgan, Phoebe Tonkin, and Charles Michael Davis chatted with us at Comic-Con to discuss how Klaus's impending fatherhood will affect the New Orleans-set show and how often we'll see stars of The Vampire Diaries turn up. Me here right now! Actually, I started watching the show when it first came out but for some reason I did not continue after the first episode. I probably didn't enjoy it as much as TVD's first 3 seasons. Now, several years later, I just started watching TO on a whim and finished final episode 4 days ago and can't seem to get over it. As much as I hate that the show is over, I really am touched how they gave a beautiful ending. Klaus' sacrifice for his daughter, his adorable relationship with her and his ever forgiving brother Elijah. I cried as if someone close died on me.

That day was very hard for them, 20 hours of panels and interviews, they flew one day before that day from Atlanta to Los Angeles, They are people too they are not machines also Daniel and Joseph look very tired.
I don't know why they don't aks about that but in this interview it's mentioned that actors who play lead roles have to appear in every episode which , I guess, means Nina won't appear as Katherine in TO because she also plays Elena.

I mean, I think he smiles just to be polite, he knows that many fans want Klaroline and obviously he doesn't want to offend them. After all, there is the spin-off ... he needs the support of the fans for the hearing, etc... So he tries to be diplomate and -like J. Plec- says what fans want to hear.
In fact, I rather think he's a little tired of being asked about Klaroline: just look at his reaction here : bmH5tg_E2Vw (at the end).

You are right somehow... cause I've never seen an interview of Joseph and the didn't ask him about Klaroline and he sure is tired of replying to that... I'm a big fan of them and I want them in the end to be together... but it's probably something fresh in The Originals we will see Klaus and his history deeper... but again in the end I want them to be together..
