If you want to see more of these videos, or would like to say thanks for this one, the best way you can do that is by becoming a patron - see the link above :). And a huge thank you to all my existing patrons - you make these videos possible.
Here I go over the small-signal model of the cross-coupled pair (XCP) and we investigate its interesting property of negative input impedance.
Hope you found this video helpful, please post in the comments below anything I can do to improve future videos, or suggestions you have for future videos.
MAN this video is really intuitive and helpful! i never realized that it can be viewed as negative resistance
A J Thanks man :) all the credit goes to the genius that is Behzad Razavi, his papers are an excellent resource
i am currently reading "RF microelectronics" by razavi. that book is really thick, so i kinda skip some section. i wonder if i skipped this one too...
do one about mixer next please :)... it's a lot faster to learn from your videos. really
I really appreciate you for the work you are doing. That was very helpful for me. thanks
Thank you :)
Jordan i love you! You’re the best!
you are doing great..thank you.. Sharing knowledge is the good things., u are doing it for free, means it is great.. We need more like u in the world, so i will try to be one..
Thank you:) Please do! :D we need more educators
I use cross coupled mosfet circuit for regenerative receiver.
Are some LC combinations better than others? I measured the F of my 145uH litz wire coil. It measured -400pF. Will this theoretically resonate better with a 400pF capacitor than with other C values?
why did you took ix/vx when you calculated the equivalent resistance in the small signal model with ro?
Awsome explanation! Thanks a lot 😉👍
The positive R will "resonate" with a negative R of the same but negative ohm value = "RR resonance" ;)
What relationship does the voltage value have, to the specific negative ohmic value it "looks like" to the circuit? ; Is there some sort "voltage resonance"?
Thanks for sharing!
Welcome! :)
THX!
