Rosé really is the heart of Blackpink, and her voice is incredible. She’s overlooked so much because she doesn’t do the rapping and isn’t as in your face, she’s very much a singer and adds a very important dimension to the group. Thank you guys for appreciating her ❤
During the bridge at the end check out the video. We realize that the person that she is missing is actually her pre-fame version of herself. The pre-fame version writes "Rosé" on the mirror, as she is dreaming about her stage name when she becomes famous. The name then transforms into "Roseanne", which is actually her real name, the simple girl who was grounded in the important things.

Guys, at the 5:20 mark of your video Roseanne, her actual name before her stardom, is sitting at the piano looking at Rose', her current self. She is realizing that Rose' was in her all along but she also realizes the importance of staying grounded and humble and not losing those qualities as she continues to rise in her career. At one point she sings :just drove by your house, too far from you now" . This also references going back to her beginning and how far she's come, but she will always remember who she was and is.

Rosé really wanted on the ground to be released becaused this is her own story and through her solo outside blackpink she was able to tell what she really want.
In this song Rosé talks about how she misses the times when she wasn't famous, there's just so many lyrics and scenes in this MV that proves that. (Examples) "You find out that your golds just plastic". Meaning she thought being a Kpop idol was something she really wanted so that's why she trained so hard for so many years, but now that she's in the music industry and a famous Kpop idol she realizes that this isn't the type of life that she truly wants because she just loves playing her guitar and being with the music that she likes, because when you get into the music industry it's not even like that anymore. The music industry is a terrible place. Also when she says "I worked my whole life just to get high just to realize everything I need is on the ground". Again meaning that fame isn't what she wants in life" Also the lyrics when she said "And I'm tryna send a message and let you know that every single minute I'm without you I regret it" "You" as referring to her past self and how she misses the simpler days in life when she could still do things that are out of reach now with all the fame that she has, and those are just a few examples to name but there's a lot more. Also in one scene she's standing on some stairs and below her it says "Roses are dead, Love is Fake" which could mean the love that she receives from most fans are just fake and not actual genuine love and they only "love" the famous Rosé person, but real genuine love can only be received by her true friends and her family, beacuse a bunch of random people that she doesn't even know screaming "I LOVE YOU ROSÉ" isn't real love that's just fake. If you have a passion for Music that doesn't mean you should get into the music industry. Roseanne even said that she has to make time for herself to play her guitar, and that she has to do it at night when she should be sleep because her days are just full of work. Loved the reaction, rose has always been the one that loves the music and being in the studio out of all 4 of the girls. And this track shows so much of her ability and the meaning is so special, about her success but her not wanting to forget herself before her success. From what I remember, watching interviews and various other videos, she was the one hanging out in the studio until like 4 AM while everybody else was sleeping. DEDICATION from an awesome lady who is just MADE OF MUSIC. :)
ROSÉ is not an idol, *ROSÉ IS AN ARTIST,* 🌹 the best thing is that year after year she strives to improve herself, she decided to learn to dance (because she didn't know how) and now she is an excellent dancer (lead dancer), she She proposed to be a great vocalist and now she is (main vocalist), she is considered the golden voice of Korea and her COVERS are the most viewed and successful in the entire history of kpop, she proposed to write and work on her own songs and despite hoarding from YG ENTERTAINMENT with her artists she managed with effort to have official credits in her own record works, she proposed to be a model and was the only member of BLACKPINK invited to the MET GALA 2021 in New York, in addition to being a super talented woman she is noble, strong, beautiful and intelligent, and even though she now has covid and is in quarantine, I know that this will make her stronger than she already is.
This girl is so talented! She plays many instruments, dances, sings, writes her songs. She wrote her part in a duet that was supposed to come out but leaked eventually… if you guys are curious, it’s called “Build a bitch” 😄 it’s good (like always, it’s worth the listen)

Out of all the solos they (as Blackpink) have, On The Ground is literally my favourite. This song is really talking about her humble beginning and stuff like that, and it is so amazing to hear those powerful lyrics. ❤️
And fun fact, if you know Blackpink, all of their Music Videos never use any CGI nor rely on the power of green screen. Those explosions, fires, and well done, and super budgeted, sets are literally real.

Since you liked this song, you will also probably like "Hard to Love" from Born Pink. It was released as a BLACKPINK song, but Rosé (pronounced like the alcoholic drink) is the only one who sings on it and it has a similar level of vulnerability to "On the Ground." Every girl in BLACKPINK is an artist and has a really impressive skill set in many different areas; however, they are each known to specialize in certain skills with Rosé being the one most known for her songwriting and vocals (the same way Lisa is most known for her dancing, Jennie for rapping, and Jisoo for acting), which you can really feel come through in her solo stuff.
Another great reaction as always :). Another thing I really loved with this MV and song is Right at the start things like the chandelier drops, yet there is silence. The meteorite comes crashing down ( from up high onto the ground ), the car is on fire and a raging fire. But, you do not hear the sound of fire, you hear the sound of wind. Almost as if she is in another world and not part of the present one. This is a beautiful song with so much rich and deep meaning. Rosė has a wonderful and distinctive voice and the way she sings this song is just in my opinion perfect.

I was so anxious for your reaction to this song. On the ground is my favorite solo. Blackpink is in the ''girl crush'' genre in kpop, like: ''I'm cool, I'm awesome and a badass''; and they are extremely good at it, but they are also very versatile to do other genres if they want to. I love this quality of Rosé, she has so much emotion in her voice and, among the girls, she is the one who shows more vunerability (both on and off stage), all of them have a very interesting personality off stage that can be seen is variaty shows, interviews and making offs (and the netflix documentary). There are already a ton of great comments explaining the basic meaning of the song, but I wanted to add that the background lyrics “what goes up must come down….you’re running out of time” indicates that she knows her time with Blackpink and as an idol will come to an end at some point, but when that happens, she knows she’ll still have what she needs….herself, her friends and family, and her love of music. You can see this as well when her idol persona of Rose hangs out at the piano with her normal identity of Roseanne.

I love all of them equally. On the other I have to admit that Rosé screams musicianship to me ,whatever she does.
She wrote and composed her solos and she plays many instrument since she was a kid .
Playing piano and guitar helped her with her insomnia since when she was like 6 yo.
Plus it doesn’t hurt that her voice is unique and addictive, that she’s pretty af and last but not least she looks like being a very genuine , sweet and humble person
