Rosé really is the heart of Blackpink, and her voice is incredible. She’s overlooked so much because she doesn’t do the rapping and isn’t as in your face, she’s very much a singer and adds a very important dimension to the group. Thank you guys for appreciating her ❤
During the bridge at the end check out the video. We realize that the person that she is missing is actually her pre-fame version of herself. The pre-fame version writes "Rosé" on the mirror, as she is dreaming about her stage name when she becomes famous. The name then transforms into "Roseanne", which is actually her real name, the simple girl who was grounded in the important things.
Thank you guys for this reaction..I love that you both really like BLACKPINK as a whole and that you appreciate them individually also. I really think you will like Rose' song GONE.
FUN FACT 🌹 This song "ON THE GROUND" by ROSÉ achieved 41.6 million views in 24 hours the day it premiered on RUclips, it was *#1 on the BILLBOARD 200 GLOBAL CHART* and with more than 40 music awards it is by far and by far the song most awarded in the entire history of BLACKPINK, also ROSÉ's solo album called [R] is officially the album of a kpop female soloist with the most sales in all history and was *#1 in sales in BILLBOARD 200 GLOBAL ALBUM SALES,* The best thing is that ROSÉ wrote and composed her 2 songs as a soloist, ROSÉ is the most complete and integral member of the group, her voice is the best in the kpop industry, she is for many the best BLACKPINK dancer and plays the piano and guitar of In a professional way, she is the one who speaks English the best since she was born in NEW ZEALAND but grew up in AUSTRALIA, she is also a professional model and is a global ambassador for YVES SAINT LAURENT and TIFFANY & CO.
Guys, at the 5:20 mark of your video Roseanne, her actual name before her stardom, is sitting at the piano looking at Rose', her current self. She is realizing that Rose' was in her all along but she also realizes the importance of staying grounded and humble and not losing those qualities as she continues to rise in her career. At one point she sings :just drove by your house, too far from you now" . This also references going back to her beginning and how far she's come, but she will always remember who she was and is.
Rosé really wanted on the ground to be released becaused this is her own story and through her solo outside blackpink she was able to tell what she really want.
In this song Rosé talks about how she misses the times when she wasn't famous, there's just so many lyrics and scenes in this MV that proves that. (Examples) "You find out that your golds just plastic". Meaning she thought being a Kpop idol was something she really wanted so that's why she trained so hard for so many years, but now that she's in the music industry and a famous Kpop idol she realizes that this isn't the type of life that she truly wants because she just loves playing her guitar and being with the music that she likes, because when you get into the music industry it's not even like that anymore. The music industry is a terrible place. Also when she says "I worked my whole life just to get high just to realize everything I need is on the ground". Again meaning that fame isn't what she wants in life" Also the lyrics when she said "And I'm tryna send a message and let you know that every single minute I'm without you I regret it" "You" as referring to her past self and how she misses the simpler days in life when she could still do things that are out of reach now with all the fame that she has, and those are just a few examples to name but there's a lot more. Also in one scene she's standing on some stairs and below her it says "Roses are dead, Love is Fake" which could mean the love that she receives from most fans are just fake and not actual genuine love and they only "love" the famous Rosé person, but real genuine love can only be received by her true friends and her family, beacuse a bunch of random people that she doesn't even know screaming "I LOVE YOU ROSÉ" isn't real love that's just fake. If you have a passion for Music that doesn't mean you should get into the music industry. Roseanne even said that she has to make time for herself to play her guitar, and that she has to do it at night when she should be sleep because her days are just full of work. I hope that Rosie can find her true happiness in life because she deserves genuine love, but for now she's trapped into something that she never should've got into because (FAME IS A TRAP) "Maybe what we're chasing for isn't necessarily up there at the top, maybe what we truly need is already in our hands, right here on the ground." (Roseanne Park) "Everything we need is already within us. There's no need to go out and look for it" (Roseanne park) 🌹❤
Loved the reaction, rose has always been the one that loves the music and being in the studio out of all 4 of the girls. And this track shows so much of her ability and the meaning is so special, about her success but her not wanting to forget herself before her success. I would love you to react to a guide of Blackpink to get to know the girls individually.
From what I remember, watching interviews and various other videos, she was the one hanging out in the studio until like 4 AM while everybody else was sleeping. DEDICATION from an awesome lady who is just MADE OF MUSIC. :)
This girl is so talented! She plays many instruments, dances, sings, writes her songs. She wrote her part in a duet that was supposed to come out but leaked eventually… if you guys are curious, it’s called “Build a bitch” 😄 it’s good (like always, it’s worth the listen)
i'm so glad you guys appreciated this & her 🥺 she's worked so so hard and i'm so proud that she's exceeding people's expectations. she was born for this 🖤💗
Another great reaction as always :). Another thing I really loved with this MV and song is Right at the start things like the chandelier drops, yet there is silence. The meteorite comes crashing down ( from up high onto the ground ), the car is on fire and a raging fire. But, you do not hear the sound of fire, you hear the sound of wind. Almost as if she is in another world and not part of the present one. This is a beautiful song with so much rich and deep meaning. Rosė has a wonderful and distinctive voice and the way she sings this song is just in my opinion perfect.
Out of all the solos they (as Blackpink) have, On The Ground is literally my favourite. This song is really talking about her humble beginning and stuff like that, and it is so amazing to hear those powerful lyrics. ❤️ And fun fact, if you know Blackpink, all of their Music Videos never use any CGI nor rely on the power of green screen. Those explosions, fires, and well done, and super budgeted, sets are literally real.
I’m so glad to hear your reaction!! Didn’t think you guys would love On the Ground, but yalls are right that we sometimes never know what Blackpink would bring to the table but it’s always a wonderful surprise! You should check out Gone by Rose, and Stay by Blackpink.
Since you liked this song, you will also probably like "Hard to Love" from Born Pink. It was released as a BLACKPINK song, but Rosé (pronounced like the alcoholic drink) is the only one who sings on it and it has a similar level of vulnerability to "On the Ground." Every girl in BLACKPINK is an artist and has a really impressive skill set in many different areas; however, they are each known to specialize in certain skills with Rosé being the one most known for her songwriting and vocals (the same way Lisa is most known for her dancing, Jennie for rapping, and Jisoo for acting), which you can really feel come through in her solo stuff.
Wow loved how you looked at Rose with eyes full of emotions😅😍 so happy actually, amazing song and your reaction, it seems to me its because you have a nice sincere soul 😍💓 my favourite reactors so far
Her message is she missed her self when she wasn’t a famous idol member of Blackpink, felt tired, etc, but in the end she’s LEVITATE in the fields of Pink and White ROSES which potrayed and in line with the 2 Rosè that playing piano wearing white (her old self) and pink dress (her current Blackpink self) she’s embracing her past and present self she’s just ROSE and she’s beautiful 😭
Rosé is really a very talented artist, a total musician, and her vocals are soo beautiful and unique that once u listen u keep coming back to it and her solo also hits different with a lovely message.Thank u for appreciating her, she really is the best.
Hey, guys. Glad you two liked this one, Rose' really is World-Class as a vocalist. She also plays Guitar and Keyboard/ Piano. On this same solo album of hers, she did a song/ MV that makes LOTS of people react like they want to track somebody down and curb-stomp them. Wanna try it out? The song is called 'Gone'. Have fun. :)
ROSÉ is not an idol, *ROSÉ IS AN ARTIST,* 🌹 the best thing is that year after year she strives to improve herself, she decided to learn to dance (because she didn't know how) and now she is an excellent dancer (lead dancer), she She proposed to be a great vocalist and now she is (main vocalist), she is considered the golden voice of Korea and her COVERS are the most viewed and successful in the entire history of kpop, she proposed to write and work on her own songs and despite hoarding from YG ENTERTAINMENT with her artists she managed with effort to have official credits in her own record works, she proposed to be a model and was the only member of BLACKPINK invited to the MET GALA 2021 in New York, in addition to being a super talented woman she is noble, strong, beautiful and intelligent, and even though she now has covid and is in quarantine, I know that this will make her stronger than she already is.
Rosé has a cover of Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song it's amazing and fitting for the holiday. It's on the Blackpink RUclips Channel if you are interested.
Great Reaction Rykerroad! Eric you pronounced her name right Rosé’ like the Wine🍷 And Kyle you also nailed it! BlackPink is like a box of chocolate you never know what you’re going to get! (Thank You Forrest Gump)!🙏🏻
Thank you for the reaction and for appreciating our talented girl she is just amazing . You can check her new solo Hard to love it's another vibe you will love it
Here we go. Ok, now listen to Rosé's other solo "Gone" and then listen to her covers of Paramore's "The Only Exception" and Oasis's "Don't Look Back In Anger". Congratulations! Now you're in love with Rosé.
One of the reasons I love Blackpink is that they are each so different in terms of what they bring to the group: not just the tone or timbre of their voices, but also their personalities, their vibes, and their tastes. None of them are extraneous - they are all part of the essence of Blackpink.
thank you for reacting to OTG. really enjoyed your reaction! her name would be pronounced ‘Rozay’ - her other solos, Gone & Hard to Love are also completely different vibes to OTG. Her live covers from Sea of Hope & from her YT channel also showcase her amazing vocals without all the production, and will def give you insight into another side to this lady. Look forward to more BP reactions 💛
Yeah, agreed! That live stuff, acoustic...you just can't beat that because you get to hear whet she REALLY sounds like without tons of post-production. ACTUAL World-Class vocalist. :)
I was so anxious for your reaction to this song. On the ground is my favorite solo. Blackpink is in the ''girl crush'' genre in kpop, like: ''I'm cool, I'm awesome and a badass''; and they are extremely good at it, but they are also very versatile to do other genres if they want to. I love this quality of Rosé, she has so much emotion in her voice and, among the girls, she is the one who shows more vunerability (both on and off stage), all of them have a very interesting personality off stage that can be seen is variaty shows, interviews and making offs (and the netflix documentary). If you want a blackpink song is this vibe where they open up to speak out their minds you should check out ''You Never Know''
please also make a reaction to her other songs GONE - with official M/V HARD TO LOVE - no official M/V I am always looking forward to your BLACKPINK reactions, you're channel always making on point reactions to their music💯
Rosé is the musician of te group. She writes her own songs, plays piano and guitar professionally and adds a great flavor in every blackpink song with her unique voice.
great reaction as expected. if you like seeing the girls being vulnerable on their songs, you should definitely try "you never know" that one's my favorite ballad song of the group. :)
In some interviews, all the Blackpink girls referred to "On The Ground" as "That Song", when they were talking about BP music. They all identify with the lyrics about the highs and being told that they are on the top of the world, but finding that the Gold is plastic. How knowing that inside, their real selves are still there, their childhood hopes and dreams... the things that got them to where they are now.
"On the Ground" is the debut solo single by Korean-New Zealand singer and Blackpink member Rosé. It was released on 12 March 2021 by YG Entertainment as the lead single from her debut single album, R. It was written by Rosé alongside Amy Allen, Raúl Cubina, Jon Bellion, Jorgen Odegard and Teddy Park, and was produced by the latter three alongside Ojivolta and 24. The song is an electropop, pop rock and pop track with synth-pop elements. Its lyrics reflect Rosé's rise to fame, from singing and playing piano in her childhood home to flying to South Korea and forming one of K-pop's biggest acts.
I am always such a fan of you guys!!! To BLINKS, DU DDU DU is so close to 2B views on youtube, just over 10M views to go. Have a watch and tell your friends. Lets get them there before end of the year!!! We have just under a month.
I love all of them equally. On the other I have to admit that Rosé screams musicianship to me ,whatever she does. She wrote and composed her solos and she plays many instrument since she was a kid . Playing piano and guitar helped her with her insomnia since when she was like 6 yo. Plus it doesn’t hurt that her voice is unique and addictive, that she’s pretty af and last but not least she looks like being a very genuine , sweet and humble person
Thank u guys for the reaction!! All the girls are super talented in whatever they do and that’s a fact!! I rlly love Rosie’s solo stuff🥹 her voice is truly special (it’d be awesome if y’all can react to her cover of “the only exception” by paramore or her newest solo song “Hard to love”) Unfortunately Jisoo doesn’t have a solo song yet since she debuted as an actress last year. Her solo is suspected to come out in 2023. I personally think her sound is gonna be super different than the rest of the girls because of her music taste. She’s mostly into rock-pop, indie music, & metal, so yeah I’m more than excited for her debut🫶 I recommend u to react to playing with fire & lovesick girls aswell!!
Rosé really is the heart of Blackpink, and her voice is incredible. She’s overlooked so much because she doesn’t do the rapping and isn’t as in your face, she’s very much a singer and adds a very important dimension to the group. Thank you guys for appreciating her ❤
ROSÉ wrote and composed her 2 songs on the ground and gone

Could’ve had said it better
Its nice to see your comments about rosé again

She's an angel 🤍✨🥺
I agree this song has such a great message, love it. Her other solo song "Gone" is my favorite solo project, it hits hard.
This is an excellent song and she has a beautiful voice too.

Thank u guys for the reaction!! All the girls are super talented in whatever they do and that’s a fact!! I rlly love Rosie’s solo stuff🥹 her voice is truly special (it’d be awesome if y’all can react to her cover of “the only exception” by paramore or her newest solo song “Hard to love”)
Unfortunately Jisoo doesn’t have a solo song yet since she debuted as an actress last year.
Metal Jisoo would be so cool! What bands does she listen to? I have never heard about this before...
@@jamescurfman3284 i can’t find the screenshot :( but I remember she recommended a metal song on Weverse last year :)
@@jadorejisoo Oh, cool! Okay, don't worry about it, I can do my own digging. But thank you! :)
@@jamescurfman3284 no problem 🫶
Rosé also co wrote and composed this song and also her other solo song, Gone.
Rose has a another song callad GONE and lyrics are from rosé as well and it is very honest song you must check it out
Please also reacting to Rosé - Gone
I can really relate to her because her solo is so meaningful
Tysm for reacting. Also react to Rosé's "Gone" official M/V and "On The Ground" Live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon pls.😘👌💞🌹
