Jennie’s SOLO is such an iconic song. On the day it was released, it topped all of Korean music charts and stayed there for a long time despite the heavy competition with big and popular groups and soloists that also released their own music at the same time. Even until this day, it remains as one of the most successful solo songs. Sad though that she only had 1 song and it’s already been 4 years since ‘SOLO’ and she’s yet to release another song. BUT, she did perform an original (unreleased) song at their concert. Hoping she’ll make a comeback soon and with 2 or more songs at least 🙏

Every time I listen to Jennie, it’s like I hear two voices combined into one. It’s really like two person singing at once. It’s just me or what? But for Jennie, Jennie has the most perfect face for a Korean lady. Every angle I see, there’s not a single flaw. Everything is so perfect. Check out her clothe hanger shoulders. It’s so unbeliveably straight. Jennie is no. 1 on my list. But then again, Lisa is also no. 1. Can’t help it, I broke the law, just for them.

And of course Rosè has her solos. On The Ground, Gone and Hard to Love. She definitely has a much different style than Jennie and Lisa.
Jennie’s solo was so iconic when this came out because there was a lot of issues going on, a lot of people saying it’s too early in their career for Jennie to have a solo but she SLAYED.
I hope you can listen to their other labelmates who are just as great! Their sunbaes (seniors) 2NE1 and BIGBANG are legends in the KPop industry. I suggest “I AM THE BEST” by 2NE1 then “BANG BANG BANG” and “FANTASTIC BABY” by BIGBANG.

These girls never miss - their company and their producer have always had a clear idea of who they were. This is iconic - it is perfectly Jennie, and it isn't a complete departure from Blackpink. Even the title/theme of the song... she was the first member to release a solo project, so it was great way to play with that.
And that's why I do not have a bias in Blackpink - they are all so distinct individually, and Blackpink really brings all of that together. It wouldn't be Blackpink without all of them

Jennie’s only official solo was this song, however she did have a new song during the Born Pink concert yall at some point should react to clips from the whole concert (probably LA was best because of the huge outdoor arena). Also Rose has three singles and Lisa has the Lilifilms where she dances and they are amazing. Jisoo has some lovely covers of several songs during their past and one cover of Liar in the new concert (my favorite is her cover of clarity)
