The 3.09 makes the R/T pull harder and only takes a little off your top speed. If you got a lot power the 2.62 can help with traction hence why the hellcats come with it. Some people still swap the 3.09 into hellcats though. Hungry for more acceleration I guess. Makes burnouts easier too.

The ratio is still 2.62, but it’s limited slip now. same ratio as the V6/RT. Result should be almost the same

what oil did you use for the diff
When I swapped the one in my Challenger R/T to the 3.09 LSD, I used Royal Purple 75w90. I used about 1.5-1.7 quarts for mine. If you over fill it, it will start dripping back out of the fill hole, so it is pretty easy to know when to stop filling. I've also seen people recommending Amsoil as well.

What's the difference between 2.62 Differential and 262 LSD? I thought you need 3.09 to spin both wheels!
2.62 lsd’s come on hellcats and spin both wheels. 3.09 is just a better gear ratio and spins both wheels too
