    As a Jets fan, I am over the moon to get Perfetti, and I 100% agree that he's not the 2C solution this year. It will take some time, just like how Scheifele looked like a deer on ice when he played is first hand full of games. From his draft in 2011, it wasn't until the 2015-16 season was where we really started to see they talented player that he was growing into, while building more strength.
    If I was Perfetti, I'd ask Mark if there's room in his off season training, with Gary Roberts!

    Sanderson fits the Senator’s team much better than Drysdale would. I see a ton of Sens fans complaining about the pick (I am not one), we do not need any more offensive d-men. Sanderson will provide much needed steadiness on the blue line and let offensive players like Brannstrom develop more.

  • @martinkealey03
    @martinkealey03 4 года назад +1

    Sanderson is a left shot defenseman. as a sens fan I like this pick and tells me brannstrom is permanently on the right. with brannstrom JBD and Thomson on the right drysdale don't fit on in the lineup. although I like wallander(still available left shot) Sanderson is a solid second par defensiveman. his play style is what Ottawa likes a more well rounded player than the offensive player in drysdale.

  • @chrisfortin984
    @chrisfortin984 4 года назад +1

    I think Sanderson is another player Ottawa needed. A wall of a defenseman who will be a top pairing defenseman with Chabot, so they had to take him over Drysdale with Raymond off the board. To add he already is playing NCAA with Docker and Pinto, so that also could have been enough for the scouts to take a close look at Sanderson, and eventually draft him at 5 with Raymond gone.

    I love my red wings entire draft. We took defense and a goalie, but the rumor is every offensive player the red wings took are all considered steals.

    As a Devils fan I am plesantly happy with the picks they made, don't know much about Mukhamadullin, but I feel like that was a needed pick as a defenseman and to combat the Rangers picking up Schneider. Ultimately I wanted the Devils to snag Schneider. Stoked for Holtz, he is honestly someone who the Devils need!

    Colorado picks up Justin Barron. It's a fantastic pick at #25. Keep an eye on this guy. I have seen him play in the flesh. That guy has a very well rounded game. Great skater, good hands and will use his body intelligently.

      Barron was expected to be mid-2nd pick and should have traded down for possibly another 3rd.

    My dad said that I apparently played in a summer tournament with Perfetti. He was playing a year up during that time. He also told me Perfetti is also a really good lacrosse player (or at least was at the time I don't know if he still plays).

    Not a fan of Calgary but I think Zary was a steal. He stood out for me more than any other player in the whl this season, Byram was maybe close. Great pickup.

    Bob McKenzie and Craig Button compared Jack Quinn to Pasternak. There's some pressure for the kid. I hope he can pan out, and play with Eichel. I was hoping for Perfetti or Rossi, but Quinn was not a bad pick in my eyes.

    For Sens I see it this way. They already got Chabot making good money and is clearly a #1. So who will cost you more money Sanderson or Drysdale? Sanderson is a top 4 D so a stay at home D won't cost you as much as the Offensive D. Since Sens don't typically spend on everyone they would save money and still have two great young D.
